General description
Casa Alea is a charming and comfortable property situated in a pedestrian area of Praiano . The interior is not luxury, but perfectly adequate and functional .
It has been equipped with all the essentials and comforts you really need !
One of the truly beautiful features of Casa Alea is the private terrace, which extends towards a wide view of the sea and runs the full width of the property. The terrace is 100 square meters large . It features a barbecue, dining table for 4 people, a large sun umbrella and deck chairs for those who want to sunbathe, the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or drink with friends while sharing the gorgeous sea views
This property is located about a mile above the town center of Praiano, known as Vettica where most of the amenities, good restaurants and bars are located.
Two very well equipped grocery shops are only 200 meters from the house and they will home-deliver upon request. The centre of Praiano can be easily reached either on foot in 10-15 min. or by little local minibus which is convenient and economical. It is a frequent bus service during May- October and it stops just a few steps from the house .
The local minibus will also take you to the charming beach of Praia and Positano or to the bus stop where you can board the Sita buses to all the well-known tourist spots of the coast .

The house welcomes you in a nice all open –plan room equipped with kitchen area, wooden dining table to seat four people, sitting area with a comfortable sofa ,a satellite television , a DVD player , a CD player and French windows to the wide terrace
The modern kitchen is fitted with a four-burner cooker, an electric oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher and many small utensils such as microwave oven , toaster, American coffee maker, kettle, blender, an Italian-style coffee-maker, portable fan, etc
To the left of the kitchen is a small corridor that leads to the two bedrooms and to the bathroom
The apartment ’s master bedroom features a double bed and French windows that open onto the terrace
The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested. The room has a window that opens on the terrace
Both bedrooms are cooled or heated by air conditioner.
A bathroom made of lucid majolica tiles and marble and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully-enclosed shower , an hairdryer and a washing machine complete this lovely accommodation.
Access
Access: The apartment is at the top of the village of Praiano, in a pedestrian precinct.
You will reach it a from a tiny and quiet piazza in the heart of the village, going up a 200-meters private walkway which consists of approximately 115 steps.
Having a car is not essential while staying at Casa Alea however, if you do have one (rent the smallest car possible!!!!), there is a pay-parking lot 500 meters from the house
Services: English speaking manager on call. Luggage carrying service on arrival and on departure included in the rental price. Local cook, food delivery, babysitter, cot and high chair available on request for an additional fee.
Parking is available on request on confirmation of booking , at a nearby private garage (500 mts far from the house), at a weekly cost of Euro 105,00 payable locally in cash.
Mandatory cleaning fee, payable locally 70,00 euro per week including cleaning with change of linen on Saturday. Extra maid service: on request on confirmation of booking, payable locally, approximately 10 Euros per hour.
Electricity is included up to 50 kwh, extra consumption payable locally at Euro 0,42 per kwh.
Refundable damage deposit due locally in cash Euro 300.00
Distances: Very good general food shops can be reached within a moments walk, bars and restaurants are within 15 mins walk or can be reached using the convenient public transport service. The pebble beach at Praia can be reached not only on foot in about 20 minutes , but also by car or, in the summer months, by public transport.
The inlet , enclosed by high cliffs , is home to several restaurants offering excellent local cuisine, boat hire service and a sub-aqua school.
Positano is 7 Km away and can also be reached by public transport service.
The ferry to Capri, Sorrento and Salerno can be boarded in Amalfi and in Positano.
Amalfi 12 Km, Ravello 16 Km , Sorrento 18 Km, Salerno 45 Km.
Naples airport 50 Km, Rome Fiumicino 269 Km.
