We had been apprehensive about booking a villa over the internet but we should not have worried. The week we spent at the Olive Yard was one of total relaxation a step into another magical, enchanting world. The villa is very well equipped with both tasteful and practical furniture and appliances. There honestly were no niggles to spoil our stay. Nikos and his family were so welcoming and always on hand to help. When the power failed and we thought we had done something ! reassurance was soon at hand that this was a widespread problem in the district. Besides, emergency lights came on automatically so the children were not scared. We were obviously staying somewhere where the owners put a lot of thought into how to make their guests comfortable and at ease. We adored the villa, the grounds, the hens, the everything, and dearly wish we could return again on day.

A warm welcome by Nikos and his mother. A nice house with several rooms and all necessary equipment. Handy those two bathrooms. A lot of space on the outside and a choice whether to sit and eat in front of the house or whether to relax at the swimming pool. Took the time for a couple of barbecues. Enjoyed feeding the chicken and collecting their eggs. No other people around, which you may or may not like. Good starting point for car trips in all directions. A success!

Very nice house, well equipped. Because its on a large piece of land, it has a lot of privacy. Located near to Rhodes city which is very nice.

We had a wonderfull time in Rhodos at the Olive Yard House. We were most hartely welcomed by Niko and his mother and they provided us with all the information for a truly magnificent stay at the lovely cottage. For 2 weeks I had the feeling of owning a big private plot of land with a wonderfull house and private pool and really nobody around us. A great way to spend the holiday with just your family and really no one else. In the afternoons we would go out and pay visits to Rhodes and Lindos and drive around the beautiful island. The house is so cosy and at night it is lit by all kind off coloured lamps making a nice atmosphere. The bed is really nice in the master bedroom. I really didnt have any backproblems and felt strong during the whole trip. The kitchen is equipped with really everything you need and also the laptop computer was very handy. Lots of towels and the nice family even put some fresh stuff for us in the refrigirator. We also held a nice barbeque at the end of our holiday with all of the family making this trip unforgetable.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy. Both the house and the surroundings were beautiful and with the new private pool we couldnt ask for more. Rhodos also provides a good mix of culture and fun, for all ages.

It has been a great pleasure to stay in this extremely well equipped house and to take sunbaths in the huge olive-yard surrounding the house. We also enjoyed the warm welcome and the familiy atmosphere.

This charming country house in a very quiet olive grove exceeded all our expectations. The owner went out of his way to be helpfull with advise and supplying basic essentials (beer, wine, water, bread, cheese, ham and his own olive soap) for our very late arrival. We even collected fresh eggs and vegetables from the garden daily. Fantastic. The amenities were all that a traveller requires for a very comforable stay. I would highly recommend the property to anyone wishing a quiet and comfortale stay.

The Olive House was exactly as described, it was clean and everything one needed for a perfect holiday was provided. We arrived in the early hours of the morning to a beautifully lit garden and most welcoming provisions of food. The garden provided a perfect relaxation retreat from the intense Greek sunshine and we spent far more time here than exploring the island. The owners were very helpful, kind, considerate and pleasant. We enjoyed eggs, figs and grapes from the garden each day. We delighted in making new discoveries in the garden too, so many interesting features.
Yes, the approach to the house is via a small light industrial estate, but you are not aware of this- no noise, traffic, pollution etc. In fact everytime we stepped through the small green gate into the property it was like entering Narnia, a beautiful, magical place which we were sorry to leave after our 2 weeks stay. We were in Rhodes for my sons wedding and his friends visited us here, they too found it delightful so this property appealed to all age ranges. If you want to stay on Rhodes away from the tourist drag , yet only 15 mins to the beach , in a property with character then this could very well be the property for you. We loved it.

Far from the maddening crowd. So good we booked again this year. The surrounding garden is beautiful, peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. We spent almost all of our evenings relaxing in the garden unable to drag ourselves into the busy town. Nikos and his mother, Argyro made us feel very welcome. Everything you require is provided for you in the cottage. There is a lovely beach nearby that you can use for snorkelling. Rhodes town is 10 minutes away and the shops are 5 mins away. There is a great barbeque area and dining outside under the pergola . This year we hope to master the bread oven and make pizzas. A truly fabulous location and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.

This cottage was absolutely delightful in every way.
You could have left home with a toothbrush and a change of clothing for a two week stay.
Everything you could ever want in a holiday cottage was provided.
We particularly liked the juicer and coffee maker used every day. A computer with internet connection was also a great hit with our 15 year old son.
The location is perfect very handy for the beach, Rhodes town and the airport, yet secluded and peaceful.
Arriving at the cottage for the first time was magical, outdoor lighting and the pergola covered pathway to the door created a lovely ambience.
Inside, the cottage was cleverly renovated to provide perfect accommodation for the three of us.
Nikos, the owner was particularly friendly and helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone.

I cant explain what a joy it was to stay in this lovely place. We looked forward to going "home" every night and were happy to spend time at the villa instead of racing around. Nikos and Gudrun have paid attention to detail and the efforts they have put into the house are outstanding. It has charm, all the mod cons and then all those things that you need in order to feel far away from real life - chickens laying eggs, a hanging day bed, olive trees, visiting cats... they even made sure we had some supplies, such as milk and bread, on our arrival. I would gladly recommend this spot to anyone wanting to avoid tourist traps and I will definitely try to stay there again. In fact, wed love to try their other properties based on our time in the olive grove.

The olive yard house was a really romantic and lovely house to stay in. all amenities were there, it was fully equipped. By far the nicest house we have ever stayed in on our holidays, and we have been to a lot, especially in Rhodes (9 times). The huge plot of land where this stonebuilt house was standing on was filled with old olive trees, which added to our feeling of being in Greece. The hanging bed outside was the highlight and the owner had even put a huge inflatable swimming pool for our coolance, thank you very much. Our children played outside for hours, hiding behind and climbing in the trees and we felt so utterly safe, so unlike in the U.K. We just left our doors open day and night. The best holiday weve ever had. Niko, The owner of the house made us feel very welcome and wanted, and we had a great b.b.q. together with his wonderful mother, Argyro. I will most definitely come back, and recommend this to all of my friends. regards Andy

I had a wonderful stay in that cottage because it was decorated the way I like with lots of passion and used recycled things. Perfect for a family who want to relax and not eat always at the restaurant. We even managed to do a good fish bbq! The owners were really nice and hosted us with warm.

When we first arrived at the country cottage we were slightly let down by the surroundings. The property is situated next to a small-scale industrial area and there was quite a distance to any services, stores or taverns. This wasnt highlighted on the website of course, and was something we were mentally prepared for. We had a car rented, so that was not a big deal for us at all, but perhaps we missed an opportunity for nice evening strolls near the house.
Having entered the gates to the property itself we have to say we found it very nice. Lush garden atmosphere, well kept house with all the comforts from home (such as fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, satellite tv, airconditioning was installed during our stay, wlan, etc.). We of course especially valued the outside hanging bed but also the possibility to use fresh eggs, vegetables and spice from the property. Nikos, the house owner, was really nice and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We probably ended up spending more time at the cottage that we initially thought we would.

We have been to Rhodes for 10 times and this house was by far the most beautiful place we stayed on the island. The house is well equipped and comfortable and we especially liked the garden / patio.
If we come to Rhodes again, we will definitely try to book this house once more.

This was a charming house, well-equipped, peaceful, comfortable and with a lovely garden.
There were many unusual features which served to differentiate this property. The outside seating included garden chairs, a patio set, a suspended chair and a suspended bed. The garden was full of lovely flowers and interesting artefacts. THe house included all the catering equipment and more than enough electronic entertainment.
The property is very convenient for Rhodes town to the North and has good connections to the main East coast road and the airport.
Above all, the welcome was outstanding and we were sad to have to leave!
