We loved our stay at Villa Collum. We were met at the Villa, and given a tour by Jimmy, who was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The villa was perfect for the holiday we wanted. Very close to the strip, and not too far to walk to the beach either. The rooms were all well presented, and the house very clean. We loved the pool, and had bbqs most evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, and wouldnt hesitate in recommending the villa to others.

Lovely first time experience in a villa, airport transfers were excellent and all commnication excellent, a couple of minor incidents became apparent after Ist night of showers but all problems fixed straight away following morning. Pool was excellent and kids had to be dragged out for showers. Would definatley recommend to friends and family.

I have just returned from a great holiday with 15 friends to villas Colum & Century in Albufeira, Portugal. Each villa was beautifully decorated inside and out and the swimming pools were perfect for a nice cooling down.
We booked 2 villas through Patrick Kennedy on RentalSystems.com. Patrick was very helpful from the moment we enquired about the villas and I was able to liaise with him via email with any questions on additional requests I required .. Jimmy (the property manager based in Portugal) was great and really helped us with any questions or minor problems we had during our stay and explained everything to us on arrival. All 16 of us thought the villas were in such a good location located within 200m of each other and are less than a 5 minute walk to the strip, 10 minutes to the beach and about 20 minutes to the old town. Security to each of the villas is excellent and we made sure we locked up properly before go out anywhere.
I would definitely book to return in the near future and will be recommending them to my friends and family.

Delighted with the property, 1st time holiday in a Villa.
Very clean. Patrick Kennedy very helpful, he organised airport transfers for us, also water,milk,bread,wine,and biscuits were at the villa upon our arrival. Suggestion for empty room downstairs, pool table also if the pool was heated. Will book this Villa again.

We recently returned from a lovely 2week holiday at Villa Colum. On reading a previous review I had a few reservations regards this property but my mind was put at ease by Patrick the owner. On arriving at Faro we were met by a friendly taxi driver from Sul Travel who we found very helpful(Better than our experience from uk taxi service on the way out!). We were met by Jimmy on arrival at the villa who showed us all around and answered any questions we had. We found him very pleasant and even arrived back a few hours later with more cutlery and a brand new BBQ set for our stay. The pool man came twice a week and was very pleasant. The kids were never out of the pool (in fact we all spent quite a bit of time in there). The villa is in a quiet street just up the road from the strip which once the doors are shut you really cant hear. The road does become a bit of a car park in the evening and we did have one noisy night but out of the 2weeks I dont think thats bad!! The strip as mentioned is literally down the end of the road and the old town in the opposite direction is about a 20min walk downhill. Taxis only cost 4euro to come back so well worth it. Turn right out of the villa and head for The Palacette restaurant...very friendly and no hustle and bustle, we ended up there on our last night where they arranged a birthday banner and cake for my mum. All in all we were very pleased with this holiday. The ease of booking and good communication throughout means that I would definately book through Villa renters again. This was the first time we had booked a Villa and I wont be doing package holidays again..weve been spoilt!! Apart from a little tweaking. (the upstairs bedroom didnt have any drawers which would have been helpful and our handle for the bathroom fell off) this was well worth the money. Happy hols and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

This is a very spacious, well kept and modernly decorated property with excellent pool and sun lounging area. It is however a little close to the main strip which can mean some passing noise at night. The map locator given on the website also puts this property in the centre of the old town where as it is actually in the new town.

Stayed in the property in Mid-May (2010), was ideal for a golfing trip.
Perfect location, ideal property-really well presented.
Great communication between myself and the seller, really kept us informed and made us feel comfortable on arrival.
Would definitely recommend it to a friend.

We really enjoyed our holiday but the villa with a little "tweaking" good be turned from a good villa into an excellent one.
We felt some general information could be really helpful. e.g. nearest supermarket, chemist, bank etc. What to do with rubbish as there were no bins and some shelves or cupboards in the bedrooms would be useful.
Also as we arrived quite late with a 3 year old and were very grateful for the welcome pack some milk would have been useful.
On a positive note the villa manager was really friendly and very helpful.

very nice villa nice quiet area only 5 min walking distance to the lively area of the strip. Villa had everything we needed we will be booking again for next year.
