We stayed in the Cottage Retreat for three weeks during which time our family flew in from the UK to join us for a few days each. The accommodation coped well with this influx of people. Ewa and Bill looked after us all well and were able to respond quickly and positively throughout our stay. Their warm welcome and attention meant that we quickly got to know them and by the end of our stay looked upon them as good friends. Living at the centre of an orchard with ripening fruit readily available was wonderful. The property was clean and the bed linen changed every week. We had a wonderful holiday.

Thanks Bill and Eva. We had a fantastic time in Poland and really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage Retreat which was much more than we were expecting. The property is spacious, clean, quiet and a perfect location for exploring Krakow and surrounding attractions. We will surely reccomend the property to any friends visiting Poland. Bill even visited us on our first morning to provide us with maps, guidance and tips - all of which was so useful - and we are very grateful. If we are ever lucky enough to visit Poland again we will be sure to book with you again.
Thanks

The purpose of trip was to attend the wedding of my oldest son in the town of Myslenice. Of all those who travelled to the town we felt we were the more fortunate to have found such accommodation. This is a beautiful property which served our purposes very well. It has been lovingly restored and was good value for money. It was well equipped. Our sons loved the garden where they were able to practice their cricket skills!
I found Bill and Ewa very helpful with advice and guidance. They answered any questions we had, prior to our trip, very promptly. They also advised on some Polish customs and local knowledge that was helpful to know in advance. They also arranged for an additional bed to be available.
We had driven from the UK and, so had access to a car at all times, but the proximity of the town and local resort of Zarabia need to be taken into account when looking at travel arrangements elsewhere. There is a good bus and taxi service from the town, about 2 km from the house.
We were disappointed not to have been informed that there would be no computer access and internet before our arrival as would have brought a lap top with us. Their agent and friend Marek was helpful in arranging to supply one though this was not a great success as reception without wireless not great. The DVD player also only played our DVDs intermittently, something we have found in other European countries as well. Not the end of the world as we hadnt come to the town to watch films?
I believe this is early days for the second house and therefore some adjustments still to be made. Can I make a suggestion that some information is provided in the house on things like rubbish collection days, recycling arrangements and perhaps a local map (oh yes, and a washing line and some pegs please, unless i just never found these!?). It would also be helpful to know whether the expectation is that the house is left as found. I was delighted to find that we would not be expected to clean the house through on leaving, something which is often expected in the UK. I was only disappointed not to meet Bill and Ewa who were not due to arrive in the town until after we left! Thank you again.
We will be visiting again I have no doubt. I hope the town is able to recover fully from the awful floods that occured earlier in the year. There was little evidence of the impact this had had as clearly a lot of work had been done to restore the area around the river but this must have affected local businesses. It is a beautiful area and a treat to visit somewhere that is not just out to fleece the tourists. I found being out of the bustle of a town very relaxing.

a character filled house, comfortable and completely restored a short walk to the centre of myslenice where you can really enjoy a true Polish town at Polish prices but still be able to get quickly to krakow or zakopane to the main tourist sights. Bill and his wife are really helpful and great people thanks for all the local info nothing is too much trouble! The local mountain lift is really close by ྴ minutes walk from house) and 4km long to the top, great views and restaurant/pub. visit mareks pub by the river in zarabia (zlony slown) (flying elephant!) for pirogi and some live music on sundays. The salt mine is a fantastic day out as is krakow but its nice to return to the house away from the bustle and stroll back from a local night out, we went for a top dinner at the best restaurant then went out all evening to the bars and had change from twenty pounds a head! Easyjet fly to Krakow from Bristol daily (how we came) or gatwick if your in london
