We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Its a great location for seeing the southern coast of Ireland, and its a wonderful place to just relax. There was a super tasty apple pie waiting for us upon our arrival and the owners couldnt have been more friendly or eager to help. The house is on the familys property but the cabin is secluded behind hedges so that you have your own space. The owners are very respectful of your privacy but always willing to offer advice or direction concerning the country if you only ask. They are definitely knowledgeable about local sights and history and even offered us a personal guided tour of a nearby town. We also had phone trouble while there and they were more than willing to allow us the use of phone and internet. Super nice people! Highly recommended!!!

The log cabin is the ideal place if your looking for a quite relaxing holiday Everything is about 5 to 10 mins away if your looking to go out. We found a lovely little pub called the marine which plays music and Dungrvan is a ten minute drive. away. Must say we had a wonderful time and so looking forward to going back. Also the owner Nell gave us a warm welcome and a home made apple pie what more could you ask for ..

Excellent location for touring the county, owners were fantastic, really freindly and had plenty of local knowledge.
The house was very clean, well maintained and tidy and gave a great place to unwind and relax in peace and quiet of an evening after a days touring the towns, coast and scenic irish countryside.
All in all a great place to stay.
Would recommend to friends.

We had a very pleasant stay. Everything was very neat, quite, a true hideaway. Received a pie from the owners, THANK YOU. Not only was it yummy, but gave the cottage a nice home like feeling. Small sea view from the front of the house. The cottage is located behind the main house, but you feel as though you have no neighbors for miles. This really is a hidden gem, in Ireland. The pictures do not do it justice. Only problem with the cottage, there are not enough towels provided. Besides that, I would recommend a million times over.

I wanted a weekend of seculsion and peace and quiet and thats exactly what I got. This little cabin, whislt it is in the property of the owner has been tastefully hidden away with the verdana looking onto the patio with apple trees. The owner greeted us on arrival, and had baked a beautiful apple cake. At no point did the family interupt, in fact we were totally unaware of their pressence. I would highly recommend this little getaway for someone looking a quiet relaxing break yet with the choice to take advantage of a wide range of acitivies within close distance. The cabin was very spacious and tastefully decorated and warm. Would be ideal for that couple or even a small family.

We have enjoyed a peaceful, comfortable week here, our host was kind and thoughtful - the apple pie on arrival was much appreciated.
The cottage was quiet well appointed and very clean.
Our only difficulty was finding it and would suggest including a street map with the directions.
Wonderful area for a holiday and we will return.

The property was delightful. Lovely and quiet and peaceful with apple trees and birds in the garden. The owners were very nice and very helpful. They even made apie for our arrival. We would love to go back. The area was great too, weather not brilliant but it didnt matter as it was such a nice place, walking on the the sand spit and going to the harbour and the little pubs. The directions need changing as they were wrong and we couldnt find it. it is 6th house on the right, not left and take second left , which is a fork.Apart from that, brilliant!

Excellent location close to all amenities, however a car is needed. We had a fantastic week the owners even though they live on site you would never know as they let us just do our own thing but always on hand if they were needed.A very welcoming family even down to the homemade apple pie left for us on arrival. We will certainly be going back. Our 4 year old son was allowed to wander freely in the garden and securely.
