Turquoise Resort and Apartment Details
Turquoise resort is set in a quiet location sandwiched in between Lake Tuzla and the Aegean Sea. Both of which are only 5 minutes drive away. The resort is only a short 10 minute drive to the main dual carriageway enabling you to easily explore the rest of the Bodrum Peninsular and beyond. The lively Bodrum Centre is a scenic 25 minute coastal drive away. There are also regular shuttles buses to and from Bodrum which run until 4am in the summer months (July and August).
The apartment has excellent views of the countryside. Sunset Cafe is only a short 5 minutes stroll from Turquoise. Why not sip a cocktail whilst admiring the stunning sunset! (see photo)
The apartment is spacious and has 2 bedrooms (1 double + 1 Twin) with front and rear balconies and also a large roof terrace. It sleeps 4 adults comfortably all with full privacy. The twin bedroom is adjacent to the main bathroom via the hallway and and the double bedroom has ensuite facilities. (See apartment plan)

The apartment is fully air conditioned with units in the living room and both bedrooms.
There are wardrobes in each bedroom with an iron and ironing board and ample coat-hangers provided.
There is a TV (showing a handful of English news channels) and a DVD player with a selection of DVDs for your use. Plus playing cards, several board games and numerous reading books.

Whether its Golf, water sports, ancient history, beach life or the natural world you are after, Turquoise resort lets you have it all. Just 25 minutes from the buzzing tourist center of Bodrum and 10-15 minutes from the airport, this luxurious residential resort is the gateway to a lifestyle you have always dreamed of.
Whilst there is plenty going on on- site at Turquoise, if you plan to explore further a car is recommended. That said a car is not essential as there are shuttle buses and local buses running throughout the main seasons.
Location: The resort is only 10 to 15 minutes transfer from Bodrum airport.
25 mins coastal drive to Bodrum Harbour. (Shuttle service available - payable locally).
5 to 10 mins drive to the 18 hole Vita Park Golf Course.
5 mins to nearby Private Beach 500 meters (shuttle service also available in the summer months).
8 mins Drive to Lake Tuzla where a variety of wild birds flock each year (including flamingos).

Tuzla Lake: Tuzla Lake is formed by the deep inlet from the Gulf of Güllük and Mandalya Bay. This is perhaps one of the most stunning locations in Turkey. Home to a host of ancient ruins the lake is surrounded by mountains covered with Olive groves, Pine and Tamarisk trees. The area is particularly special as a natural bird sanctuary throughout the year a large variety of rare birds including Pelicans, Flamingos and White Storks can be seen flocking to the wetlands.
Golf at Turquoise and Vita Park: One of Turquoises most attractive features is the nearby 6 hole golf course. Much anticipated, 18 hole golf made its premiere in the Bodrum region in 2009. The Vita Park Golf Project is less than 2 km from Turquoise and eventually will feature two 18 hole golf courses. 1 x 18 hole course is open already to the public (as at Jan 2011) .
Private Beach: Just 5 minutes from Turquoise, residents have exclusive access to the private beach. With awesome views of the gulf of Güllük, a gentle breeze and a professional team of instructors, there is no better place to try out the various water sports facilities on offer. Alternatively, you can stay on the secluded beach and relax at the Beach Bar and Cafe.
Bogaziçi: The nearby village of Bogaziçi is 10 minutes drive from Turquoise and holds an important place in history as the site of the ancient city of Bargilia. After exploring the unspolit stone village, a swim in the clear blue water is perfect. Small fishing boats come and go throughout the day delivering their catch to restaurants on the shore where you can dine and relax overlooking the glittering Mandalya Bay.
Guvercinlik, about 15 minutes from Turquoise on the road into Bodrum, could be typical of the sleepy villages scattering the peninsula. However, as each of them have their own unique atmosphere and landscape, a visit is not to be missed. Nestled in a vast sweeping bay embraced by untouched mountains, head to Guvercinlik for the Monday market or to watch the sun set from one of the waterfront restaurants. The view from here is truly priceless.
Milas: Milas town and the surrounding area hosts numerous sites of historical interest. Today you can explore the ruins of the ancient Mylasa, dating back to 3000 B.C. Milas is also known for its fine carpet weaving tradition. Craftsmen and weavers can still be seen at work in the town today. The beautifully restored Milas Houses are another popular attraction displaying the carving work unique to the region.
Exploring the rest of the peninsular
Yalikavak: This popular village offers some excellent seafood restaurants close to the harbour where you can enjoy a wide variety of fish dishes. Yalikavak is offers a more peaceful surrounding, yet has plenty to see and do. The new marina features a shopping mall, amphitheatre, beach club, sailing school and clinic.
Turgutreis:This modern town is named after the legendary turkish sailor Turgut Reis and is well known for its Saturday market and bazaar. Turgutreis is popular for its beaches and impressive marina which opened in 2002 featuring shops, cafes, bank and supermarket.
Gumusluk: Historically known as the ancient city of Myndos, Gumusluk is a fishing village having a selection of seafood restaurants and breathtaking views.
Gundogan:Although Gundogan is becoming popular with foreigners, this small town retains it’s traditional charm and is mainly resident to locals.
Torba: A pretty village with a picturesque mountainbackdrop, Torba has a peaceful atmosphere with a few restaurants and a small pebble beach. Torba is north of the peninsula.
Gumbet: The resort of Gumbet is located in the next bay along from Bodrum and has one of the longest beaches on the peninsula. A wide range of water sports are available here and the beach front is lined with shops, cafes and bars. At night time Gumbet comes alive with the buzzing atmosphere of Bar Street which runs from the centre of town down to the beach and there are many bars, tavernas, cafes and nightclubs to choose from.
Gulluk: Gulluk is a picturesque bay and traditionally a fishing village. You will find watersports, stunning views and a good choice of cafes and restaurants.
Golturkbuku: Two villages, Golkoy and Turkbuku, merged to form the exclusive Golturkbuku, attracting the rich and famous with it’s trendy cafes, bars, restaurants and jetty style beach clubs. Golturkbuku, located north of the peninsula, is a stunning destination where the sea is calm and the view of sunrise and sunset is truly magnificent.
Bitez: Bitez is a great place for those who want to chill out in a relaxing atmosphere and the breeze makes sailing and windsurfing popular here. There are many restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine, and with its shallow water Bitez is perfect for a family holiday.
Other Attractions: (Day Trips)
Pammukale: Which means cotton castle, is the result of limestone formations built over thousands of years. Warm calcium rich mineral water flowed over the cliffs and as it cooled it deposited the calcium into the formations that are seen today. Pammukale is now a world heritage site.
Hierapolis: Was founded as a healing care centre in 190 BC, taking advantage of the mineral waters in the area. It was one of the most important intellectual, artistic, religious and commercial centres of the Roman Empire. It eventually had a large Jewish and Christian community. and during the Christian era the city of Laodiceia, one of the Seven Churches written of in Revelation, was founded 8 km away.
The tomb of St. Philip: Is back in the hills behind Hierapolis. Philip was a well-known saint of the region. St. Philip met his death as a martyr, and in honor of his service to God the Christians erected a matyrium over the site of his tomb. Special ceremonies and meetings were held here in the name of St. Philip.
