The Gite

The Main Gite is a lovely self contained house set within the grounds of Manoir de la Foulquetiere and located opposite the Manoir, across the courtyard and gardens. The gite offers luxurious self catering accommodation for 6-8 adults, having three large double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room, which could sleep a further two adults. Additional single beds and a travel cot and high chair are also available for guests’ children. The gite has been carefully renovated and retains its period charm, featuring the original oak beams and stonework. It is furnished with beautiful French antique beds, mirrors and chandeliers whilst offering all of the comforts of modern living. The gite has direct access to the garden and also has a terrace to the rear, which is furnished with a vintage table and chairs.
GROUND FLOOR
Sitting room
The sitting room has a large open fireplace, a contemporary double sofa bed, which seats four adults, and two vintage chairs as additional seating. The room features double doors that offer direct access to the terrace and gardens. There is a stunning spiral staircase that leads to the first floor and two further bedrooms.
Kitchen
The kitchen has everything that guests could need to self cater, including an electric oven and induction hob, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and utensils. There is a kitchen table and chairs.
Conservatory/Dining area
The gite has a conservatory that offers a large dining space for guests to enjoy in every season. The conservatory is double glazed with glass that keeps the room cool in summer and warm in winter. The room features a built in barbeque with rotisserie and food preparation area as well as a large dining table and chairs.
Cloakroom
There is a downstairs loo and basin adjacent to the conservatory.
The Four Poster Bedroom
The double bedroom downstairs features a beautiful four poster bed, dressed with delicate antique French drapes. There is also a vintage dressing table and chair, chest of drawers and bedside tables. The room features lovely French doors that offer direct access to the gardens. There is an en suite bathroom featuring a shower, bath, loo and basin.
FIRST FLOOR
The Blue Bedroom
The blue bedroom offers romantic accommodation, featuring a stunning roll top bath within the bedroom itself. The room is decorated with beautiful blue French textiles and features a white brass double bed, a vintage chest of drawers and a table and chair. The blue bedroom has lovely views over the Manoir’s gardens and surrounding countryside.
Cloakroom
There is a loo and basin adjacent to the blue bedroom.
The Master Bedroom
The Main Gite’s master bedroom is a very spacious room that features a beautiful antique carved French bed dressed with a coronet and drapes. The room is furnished with a traditional French armoire, chest of drawers and crystal chandelier. There is also a private seating area where guests can relax. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room with loo and basin. Due to the large size of this room, it can also be used as family accommodation and two additional single beds can be provided for small children.
