We arrived at the villa and were greeted by the owners who were very welcoming. The villa was lovely with lots of space. The pool area was great and everything was very clean and tidy. The owners had provided us with a welcome hamper of food supplies and gave us a tour of the property. Also they gave us a map of supermarkets and restaurants near by which was very useful and provided a folder full of information on the surrounding area/ activities. We used the BBQ and the games room while we were there and also the tv and dvd player. The villa was situated in a quiet area with lots of other villas but it was only a short walk to some restaurants and a short drive to near by Albufeira. It is also close the the marina where there are more places to eat. Overall the villa was excellent and the owners were very kind and helpful.

Myself, my partner, three children and father in law stayed at Villa Santos in October 2012. The villa itself was outstanding.
Clean, exceptionally spacious with everything there, a family could need. There were even inflatables supplied for the outside pool.
Paulo (the owner) was there to greet us and was very helpful in telling us where all the local amenities and entertainment were.
He was on hand by telephone for any questions we had about the local area. He even booked us into his restaurant in the old town (Bravo restaurant) and gave us 10% discount and we had VIP treatment from his staff.
The villa is situated in an area suitable for easily reaching a number of beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops.
Overall, we couldn’t recommend the Villa Santos enough.

Our party was 6 adults and 4 children and it was very pleasing to see how spacious the villa was, as to accommodation.
The pool was excellent and we also found that it was not necessary to hire a care as Paulo and Christine the owners arranged transport and explained location of supermarkets etc. i also recommended a visit to Paulo restaurant Bravo in the town, which was excellent value for maoney.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday and impressive villa.

We had two wonderful weeks at Vila Santos - a beautiful house in calm surroundings. Clean, uncluttered and open inside, with a closed garden with trees providing shadow and a pool area in the sun for playing, relaxing and cooling down, we felt it was perfect for families with kids or babies.
The house is in walkingdistance to the beach or supermarkets with a restaurant almost as its neighbour.
Paulo was really helpful when it came to suggesting where to shop and eat and how to get around. He responded immediately when we had problems with the refridgerator and showed up with a technician to fix the problem. Travelling with babies we were also really happy about the baby cots and the high chair the Santos couple had made ready for us when we arrived.
In all, Villa Santos provided a great base for two small and slightly tired families in need of sun and rest. We enjoyed the house with the game room and the bbq-area and felt that stress and tiredness pretty much stepped back for relaxation and calm for those forteen days.

We would definitely recommend Villa Santos. Unlike some properties we’ve seen, Villa Santos easily accommodates 8 people all the rooms, including the bathrooms are of good size. For a group of 4 adults and 2 children, we had more than enough room. The kitchen had high quality appliances, including a large fridge/freezer. It also had plenty of pans, crockery, cutlery and most other kitchen utensils. A welcome pack was also provided, essentially...bread, bacon, eggs, milk, water.
The living room was very comfy for the six of us, with additional seating facing out towards the garden and swimming pool. We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms, and with 2 families sharing the villa, the en-suites came in very useful. The games room was a hit with kids (and adults!!), and the weather was warm enough that the barbeque was used on New Year’s Day, and was a great success!
The villa is ideally located only a 2 minute drive to Sao Rafael beach, others like Coelho and Evaristo are just a minute or so further drive along the coast road. The hypermarket Continente is about a 15 minute drive away and you can find all your grocery needs there.
During our stay, a couple of problems arose. The electricity would trip regularly when kitchen appliances, especially the oven were being used. However, Paulo the owner was on hand immediately and brought an electrician in to assess the problem. When we used the log fire, some smoke settled in the upstairs bathroom. Again, Paulo reacted very quickly and sympathetically ensuring our holiday was not spoiled. Paulo even printed out our Ryan Air boarding cards...saving us a pretty penny at the airport.
Overall, our stay at villa Santos was fantastic. The villa is so spacious and therefore, the photos on the website don’t do it justice. It’s conveniently located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Albufeira, yet close enough, only a 7 euro taxi ride to the old town where we spent a great New Years Eve on the beach enjoying the fireworks.
We would definitely recommend Villa Santos, and would consider making a return visit, next time in the summer, to make full use of the pool!

Villa Santos was just wonderful. I have just returned from a stay there where we had a family holiday 9 plus 2 children 7 and 4. The villa was very spacious and accommodated a large group with ease there is plenty of space that if you wanted peace from the group you could do so. The dining was big enough for this number as was the eating area outside beside the BBQ which was large enough to BBQ for this number also. The games room was a hit with old and young alike. The pool area was great and there was a selec tion of pool toys available which was great for the wee ones they had a ball it was deep but all you need is supervision which you would be doing anyway regardless of depth. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook and the welcome pack was excellent we were able to have a snack and breakfast before needing to worry about going to the shops which were within walking distance. However we went to the big supermarket by taxi for a big shop. The beach is within walking distance and is beautiful. The rooms were large and had plenty of storage and the bathrooms were the same no fighting over who would shower next etc. as there was 4 in total with loads of hot water and the pressure was amazing. There were towels provided for showers and the pool area. The garden area was lovely too. We met the Owner Paulo and he was great and was there to meet us when we arrived at nearly 2 a.m.which was a comfort he showed us around and filled us in all the details of the villa. He was at the other end of the phone if we needed anything which again was a comfort. The WiFi, Satellite Tv, dishwasher, washing machine toasty maker, coffee maker, large fridge and freezer area all added to the handiness of the villa. We did not hire a car and managed perfectly although we did stay about the villa to relax by the pool and took an occasional taxi into Albuferia which was cheap. All in all it is a fabulous villa which has everything you need to have a totally wonderful time even in the rain which is did for a day or two. We hope to visit again and would definitely recommend it.

Villa Santos was fabulous - The standard of the accomodation exceeded our expectations, especially for the very reasonable price. The layout of the property was ideal for our party size of 8, with good sized bedrooms, lounge & dining room area....all with Wifi.
Having been delighted inside the property, the best was still to come...The swimming pool and Jacuzzi was great, clean although very deep - so superb for adults, but you would need to be careful with young Children, but there is plenty of space for little ones to run around so this is not a negative point. And at the end of the garden a seperate building which houses the Games room - including an excellent Pool table, Football table, Darts board and a few board games.
The property also provided a very good BBQ area and outside seating, which was perfect for the warm evenings.
Cristina & Paulo were the perfect owners - they were very accomodating and at the end of the phone when we had a couple of queries.
The location of the Villa was approx. 10 mins outside Albufeira, which was ideal for getting away from the busy town, but It only cost us approx. 8 euros in a Taxi so no problem. The beach is also very close - it took us about 15/20 mins walking.
We will definitely be going back....!!! I Highly recommend.....
