A romantic Tuscan hideaway nestled into the hillside of the picturesque village of Taponecco. Cobbled pathways and arches connect the houses of this medieval settlement dating back to the 13th Century. Il Cervo forms part of this historic village property and combines the comforts of modern living with the charm of the past. The building has been carefully restored and interior designed to retain much of its original character including terracotta floors, chestnut doors and beamed ceilings.

Accommodation

The property, formerly the hay barn has been extensively restored into a spacious and characteristic home. The property is entered by a few steps from the communal courtyard into the lower level. A hallway leads to a double bedroom with views over the village rooftops. There is an adjacent shower room. Small bedroom with built in cuboard. From the hallway double doors lead into a suite with bathroom, hallway with wardrobes and spacious double bedroom. This room has a vaulted ceiling and as this was originally a wine cellar the ceiling height is restricted. From the entrance a wooden staircase leads to the top floor into an open plan kitchen with contemporary units and well equipped with utensils and table ware. An archway leads into a superb living / dining space with open beamed ceiling. Double doors open onto a stone fagged terrace with beautiful views to the foothills.

Services

A swimming pool in the neighbouring village is available during the summer months (subject to terms and conditions). A separate laundry room is equipped with washing machine and iron/board. Representative available for assistance.

Location & Amenities

Taponecco is served daily with groceries and there is a popular trattoria close by where you can experience typical specialities and take in the breathtaking views from the terrace. 10 minutes drive to the amenities of Licciana Nardi.

The farm house is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing patio area, panoramic views, a barbeque.

This was our second visit to Taponecco. This time we took the family and stayed in Il Fenille - the main house. We previously stayed at La Mansada. Both are excellent value and the house has everything our family needed, lovely setting, outdoor space, good facilities, high standard of finish and connectivity for gadget freeks. With some super little towns close by its a great place to be we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will return once more.

Thank you for providing the perfect get away, we didnt want to leave. A beautiful location and property with stunning views. I have completely fallen in love with Italy and will definitely be coming again.
