Property and local area description
It is secluded but also near the hub of cosmopolitan life
The island of Kea, the island of honey, magical beaches, majestic oak forests and mythical ancient cities, only 16 nautical miles from Attica, welcomes you!
Here the summer lasts from April to late October. You can take the ferryboat to this genuine unspoiled Cycladic Island from the port of Lavrion (only 20 minutes by car from the international airport of El. Venizelos) many times a day, everyday of the week.
The Bay of St. Nicholas with its two ports will be your destination. The first port Korissia, is where the ferry docks. Three seaside kilometers from there, is the second port, Vourkari, with its yachting marina (everybody who is somebody visits it during the sailing season), its taverns, bars, shops and fishing kaiques.
And seven hundred meters further, stands The Oak. A small traditional stone bungalow secluded but also near the hub of cosmopolitan life. In its 60 square meters has two bedrooms, sitting room, kitchenette, bathroom, plus a barbeque and lots of space around it. And a secret! The furniture is traditional and comfortable.
The scenery is bucolic. Oaks and almond trees, pastures with lambs and cows, a pigsty further up the hill – and the sea only 700 meters from each side.
The Oak is fully equipped to accommodate four persons and is rented for five days the minimum. You can prepare your own meals (everything is provided), have a BBQ al fresco, relax and enjoy unique sunsets and starlight nights. Towels are changed every day, linen every week. Children are ofcourse welcome. Upon your arrival you will find mineral water, a bottle of excellent Greek wine, a map of Kea, and some local treats.
