Youghal is an historic town located on the southern coast of Ireland. It has a population of approx. 7000 and has an easy going air about it. There is an expanding shopping base in the town and it is approx. 30 miles east of Cork City. The Blackwater Estuary on which it is located is renowned for its sea fishing and water sports. A European blue flag beach is within the town area and extends for some miles. There are lifeguard services on the beach throughout the summer season. Sir Walter Raleigh is associated with the founding of the town and there are guided tours throughout the summer.
The town provides a good base for the exploration of the Cork and Waterford Coasts. There is a good social nightlife in the town with many of the hostelries providing musical entertainment both modern and traditional. The town also boasts a 3 screen cinema and an indoor amusements and entertainment area. For those with a yen to bet on the dogs there is a local greyhound track. Finally for those who like seafood the area has some fine restaurants.


 

The apartment is on the ground floor of a new development, in a fantastic setting right next to the Blackwater river, and the Atlantic ocean.

The nearest beach is just 80 yards away across a lovely park. The famous lighthouse is less than 1/2 mile away, you can see it from our lounge. If you want to go fishing, you have to go no further than the back wall of our patio!

This apartment has an area of 1,340 sq. ft. comprising three spacious bedrooms and a generous lounge, dining and kitchen combination suite. There is also a main bathroom with a full suite.

Lounge
This area has seating for 7-9 people and is very light and airy with generous patio doors and windows with a southerly aspect. It is furnished with television, DVD, radio and CD equipment.

Dining Area
This area can accommodate 6 adults and has its own access door to the patio. It overlooks the park which is a safe playground for children.

Kitchen
This is fully fitted with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster and cooking utensils. It is also furnished with a full range of cutlery and crockery. Bedrooms

The master bedroom is of very generous proportions with double bed storage facilities, an énsuite and its own door to the patio area.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds with storage facilities.

Bedroom 3 is also twin bedded and has an énsuite and storage facilities.

The contents of the apartment include a travel cot and highchair.

As the patio area bounds the whole apartment and runs south/east to south/west furniture is also supplied for this area further enhancing (weather permitting!) the already generous living area of this property.
 

We as the owners of the property and also having a family, have always found that it provides a wonderful mixture of relaxation and tranquility for the adults and safe and varied pursuits for children. Whether they are occupied by fishing from the wall beside the apartment, going to the cinema, or going to the beach, we have never had any cause for anxiety concerning their safety.

The townspeople are extremely friendly and helpful and always courteous.

The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 9 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find a museum, a zoo.

Barbara says: "The 502 Magnolia Suite that we stayed in last week was absolutely fantastic. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children. The main living room was so spacious and extremely comfortable. My husband and I had the main double bedroom, which was on suite and also huge. The twin bedroom was a very good size and was also on suite. The other twin bedroom was a good size and there was yet another bathroom for them to use. The kitchen is very well equipped and even has a dishwasher. The person looking after the apartment was very helpful and everywhere was spotlessly clean. On arrival there was a nice bottle of red wine awaiting us. There was also bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee and sugar to get us started. There are all conveniences including sky tv, dvd music system and even electric clocks in all the bedrooms. It is also a very safe place to stay, having electric gates and is very well located in the town of Youghal. We were also given telephone numbers for us to contact should we have needed anything during the week. Bedlinen and towels were also supplied. I would certainly recommend this apartment to friends and am seriously considering going back again soon myself. Barbara Kelly. "
