Fishermans cottage is a quaint 200 year old, stone built cottage with a lot of original features (ie. stairway, doors).
It is is located very close to Goat Island beach, Whiting Bay,
and the Round Tower of Ardmore. It has two cosy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room with an open fire and a living room with views of the countryside and sea. This cottage sleeps 4-5. Please Note: Due to the original steep stairway, this cottage is not at all suitable for toddlers, young children or senior citizens.  

Whiting Bay has a beautiful sandy quiet beach which stretches for over a mile and provides a great location for swimming, fishing, boating and surfing.

The area is very suitable for families or single people needing to get away from it all.

The cottage is only one and a half miles from the village of Ardmore. Beautiful beaches, an historic monastery, a round tower, well known restaurants and hotels, together with its famous cliff walk guarantees you a pleasant and fulfilling holiday whilst staying in this cottage in Ardmore. 

Ardmore is also not far from Dungarvan. This gold coast of Ireland area takes in the Gaeltacht area of Ring and Helvic Head. Dungarvan has up to date amenites, cinemas, bookshops, library, video stores etc.

On the Cork side of Ardmore is the beautiful town of Youghal. Here you will find the most scenic routes along the river Blackwater which is the widest river in Ireland. Youghal boasts of world famous fish restaurants, and plenty of sites of historic interest. 

Storage Heaters, Electric Heaters, Electric Blankets, Hot water bottles, and an open fire will ensure your comfort through an overcast rainy day or night.

The cottage comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 double. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The cottage has television video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a east facing garden, a east facing patio area, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking.

The cottage is right beside fishing, walking, cycling.

Close to the cottage you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, climbing, historic sites, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find boat hire, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.
