Ferrypoint House is located in the historic seaside area of Youghal, Co.Cork on the sunny south-east coast of Ireland.
Ferrypoint House stands on a peninsula with the Atlantic ocean to your left and the River Blackwater to your right.

This century old cottage has been totally renovated into luxury accommodation while still retaining it's old world charm. Finished to the highest standards, and impeccably kept, you're be delighted by luxury of this spectaculat holiday home for six. 

We have a large number of unspoiled beaches spanning the coastline surrounding the ferrypoint offering swimming, sunbathing, coarse fishing, sea angling, canoeing, sailing, scuba diving, wind surfing & water sking. 

Just across the harbour is the historic walled resort town of Youghal, just 200 yards by boat, but a 6 mile drive around the lovely estuary. Youghal is a beautiful and historic town with lots to see and do. The small seaside village of Armdore is closer, with its fantastic beaches, round tower and 7th century abbey, restaurants and pubs. The surrounding areas of Cork and Waterford are right at hand and present other great days out. Making Ferrypoint Cottage the ideal base to tour the south of Ireland. 

I find it hard to find the words to describe the beauty of the location. Ferry point is a sand bar that projects into the river Blackwater as it joins the sea at Youghal. There are just two cottages here, and water on 3 sides. set out of the cottage ona onto teh beach to stroll, swim or fish. Ferrypoint cottage offer's both luxurious seclusion, and easy access to the full range of facilities, shops and restaurants of Youghal and Ardmore.

The cottage comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 single. . This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The cottage has television video, dvd, satellite/cable.

There is room for 7 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, fishing, walking.

Close to the cottage you will find boat hire, wind surfing, climbing, cycling, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find mountain biking, scuba diving, a museum, a zoo, a themepark.

ruth says: "A fabulous property in a gorgeous location - especially if the sun shines! The quality of the fixtures was excellent. The one slight downside was that the bathroom is in need of a revamp (although clean and perfectly usable) a bigger shower cubicle and the addition of a bath would be a bonus. The single bathroom is also a constraint if more than 3-4 people are staying. The owner - Pat - couldnt have been more helpful. He travelled to Cork to buy a baby bath for us to use :-) We would definetly recommend the property."
