The Old Barn is a 300 year-old stone farm building that has recently been totally renovated and converted into a beautiful holiday residence. With sleeping for 8 (and a cot for a ninth) the Old Barn is the perfect base for a family group or a group of friends to enjoy the many attractions of this unspoilt part of Ireland. The huge open plan main room extends right up to the rafters and makes a fabulous centrepiece to this luxury holiday home. Featuring the kitchen and dining area, it leads straight out onto the extensive south-facing patio, barbecue area and garden. 

The TV room with comfy sofas, woodburning stove, satellite TV and DVD player provides a snug retreat.

There are four bedrooms (two of them king size, with full en suite including fabulous power showers) and two lovely twin rooms, plus a third bathroom and toilet. All are decorated in pastel shades that enhance the space and light within this old and substantial property.

The Old Barn is situated on a quiet lane amidst rolling farmland about 2 miles from the increasingly-popular South East Coastal Drive. This luxurious property is set adjacent to the farmhouse home of the owners, yet is totally secluded with its own parking, garden and entrances. There is a small, secluded cove within walking distance, and larger, beautiful, safe sandy beaches all within a short driving distance. Located in the heart of the Waterford Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking area), there is a rich tradition of Irish music in the many pubs nearby. Just a few miles from the seaside resorts of Ardmore and Youghal, and the thriving harbour town of Dungarvan, Old Parish has the best of everything in the "Sunny South East".

 

The farm house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The farm house has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The farm house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking farm house

Pets are welcome
We welcome well-behaved pets. Please note there are ducks that wander through the garden, so if your dog chases birds you will have to keep him/her on a lead!

The farm house is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking.

Within easy reach of the farm house you will find walking, horse riding, historic sites, a museum, a zoo.

Really well equipped, a proper home from home. Large garden which our dog loved & lovely walk down to the secluded cove. Very peaceful location and owners friendly and thoughtful, even providing fresh flowers for our arrival. Beds very comfortable and towels white & clean. Probably the best place weve stayed in so far."
