The riad is an independant house spacious and beautifully resorted in a tradional style on a quiet street in the heart of the bustling and vibrant medina.

The house has 3 floors and a terrace with a terrace room. There is plenty of space for relaxing and can be used by couples, one or two families or large groups.

GROUND FLOOR - entrance hall, opening to a peaceful covered courtyard with traditional fountain. The rooms are around the courtyard and this gives a feeling of space, there is a salon and dining area with CD player and open log fire and a kitchen with fridge, hob and all utensils and wc

FIRST FLOOR - A tranquil double bedroom with french windows overlooking the courtyard with spacious ensuite shower room and a second double bedroom with a double bed and ensuite shower room and also a mezzanine double bed which can sleep 2 children the bed has low headroom.

SECOND FLOOR - Spacious light open plan lounge overlooking the courtyard, with open log fire, TV and CD player and fully equiped kitchenare, arches throught to Moroccan salon. The Moroccan salon has to sofa that can be made into single beds.

TERRACE - Private, sunny terrace, with sunbeds and patio tables and chairs. This is a an ideal place for sunbathing, sitting in the sun, enjoying a glass of wine or al fresco dining.

TERRACE ROOM -Light and airy double bed with ensuite shower room, and good sized terrace. Spairs leading to the top terrace which has views of the sea and the medina.

We provide a daily maid service, who can also provide breakfast and evening meals, payable locally at your request.

All bed linen and bath towels are provided, but you would need to bring your own beach towels.

The are open log fire throughou the riad for the cooler winter evenings.

You would be met by Fouad or Noureddine at the town entrance, Bab Marrakech, and taken along with your luggage to the raid.
 

Essaouira is a charming relaxed cosmopolitan town on the Atlantic coast, it benefits from blue skies and a long sandy beach and the town itself is a labyrinth of alleyways which lead to the many souks, craft shops and small art galleries. All in walking distance are the square with its many cafes, the Portuguese ramparts and the small working fishing port where you can see the early morning catch being landed.
There are many restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, Moroccan, Italian and French and of cause the local fish restaurants in front of the port.
It is an exciting place to explore and has a warm friendly atmosphere my children enjoy exploring the many streets with the brightly coloured shops and craftsmen working outside their shops and daily life passing by.

 

Exploring the medina, the streets are free from cars and mopeds and everything is in walking distance, the port, the ramparts, the square and all the souks and craft shops. Maps are available from the Tourist information centre.

As you walk along the long sandy beach it changes starting with sunbathing facilities, cafes and families playing the sand and sea. You can also rent equipment and have tuition for windsurfing, kite surfing, body boarding, wind beach buggy’s. Carry on and the beach empties soon you reach the camels available for riding and then on past the small river that empties into the sea and to the, castles in the sand. You can walk to Diabet where Jimmy Hedrick lived. There is also quad bike hire and horse riding available and you can use the swimming pool at the Sofitel Mogador for a daily charge.

There are Hamman’s and tennis courts in the new town. If you wish to go further a field to visit the argan oil cooperative or any of the many beaches taxis or car hire is available.

Fouad can organise activities or excursions for you if required.




 

There is a pay as you go mobile phone and internet modem that you can use. We also have an ipod docking station. From the lower terrace you can see the rooftops of the histoic medina and from the upper terrace views of the sea. We provide a daily maid service and can also provide breakfast and evening meals, payable locally at your request. We can also provide tours of the medina for siteseeing or shopping in French or English and help with booking activities or eating out.

The house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double and 1 cots, 3 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 2 single sofa beds located in the Moroccan lounge, 1 double bunk bed located in the Mezzanine bedroom 2. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 3 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this house.
