World known for having the largest and best preserved Colonial section the area is currently undergoing a renovation Project sponsored by the city of Quito and FONSAL. The city itself was the second in the world to be names a world Heritage site by Fonsal in 1978. For years the area was neglected by the locals and crime was a problem. But now with a recent surge of interest from international investors, the area has been revitalized as one of Quito’s best places to visit and live. Its charming cobblestone streets and Renaissance churches and Colonial stately homes make it one of Latin America’s most culturally distinguished areas.


 

This apartment is on the top floor of a second floor Spanish Colonial home that has been recently renovated. There are a total of four apartments in the building. This unit has its own private rooftop terrace (the only one in the house) and is very private. The house has a typical inner courtyard. The street out front is pedestrian only and is very quiet. The house is located just on the perimeter of Colonial Quito behind the Neo-Gothic style Basilica church.  

We provide maid service, laundry service, tours, valet service, and chauffeur service. We will change your sheets once a week at no charge and will change them more on request. We currently manage a total of 10 properties in Colonial Quito

The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms for your party's use.

The apartment has television. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this apartment.

Shelley says: "This apartment is located in the Old Town, at the top of a steep hill behind the historic and beautiful Basillica Church. We stayed two weeks and enjoyed every minute. The beautiful rooftop terrace has fantastic views and a nice table with umbrella and chairs. Of course, it does rain many afternoons in Quito, so be sure to have breakfast and/or lunch on the terrace, since it may not be a great locale for supper. :-) An easy cab ride takes you anywhere into either Old or New Town and back, for only a dollar or two. Very centrally located and quiet, so no problem with late night noise from partying, as you might find in the Mariscal or other, more central, parts of Old Town. The apartment itself is charming, with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and three bedrooms. Simple, but everything you need for a great, affordable, and very pleasant stay in Quito. Also, no problem with hot water showers, which I understand is frequently an issue in Ecuador. In addition, the management is very accessible and receptive (although its not all that easy to find the rental office itself), so if there are any problems with the house, you can except immediate help. Highly recommend! and would certainly come back if I plan another Quito visit."
