A homely 3 bedroomed cottage situated in a peaceful elevated (430metres above sea level) countryside hamlet with rural views all around. There are country walks as soon as you step outside the door where you can see the brown limousin cattle grazing in the next field.

Downstairs the lounge has a woodburner (for winter use) also t.v. with english satalite channels also dvd player and a cd/radio player. There is a small selection of dvds and cds at the cottage for holidaymakers to use.

Back of the cottage is the kitchenette and dining area, gas oven and hob, fridge with small freezer box etc.

Double french doors onto garden with a garden table, chairs and parasol for you to enjoy the sunshine and alfresco dining.

There are also 3 sunloungers with cushions for you to relax. A BBQ is provided for you to sample the local produce. Various outdoor sports equipment inc french boules, badminton racquets, racquet ball, 1 adult bike & 1 childs bike (up to 9 years) .

On the first floor are 2 double bedrooms with views across the surrounding countryside and the small family bathroom consisting of w.c.,wash basin, french bath with shower over.

On the second floor (attic room) there is a large third bedroom consisting of 2 single beds.

There is a nice sunny garden to the side and rear of the property where you can relax and unwind and eat alfresco and enough room for off road parking for up to 3 cars at the front of the property.

Even though in a quiet location it is only 7 minutes drive into Bourganeuf, a historic town with cafes,restaurants, supermarkets and a weekly market. The nearest hamlet -St Dizier Leyrenne is only 2 minutes drive away where you can get milk, bread and small provisions.

The best of both worlds, either relax and unwind or jump in the car and visit an array of historic villages, public gardens and parks, chateaux and churches, many have publicated guides showing several places of interest for you to make the most of your visit.
 

Also within 40 minutes you have the capital of Limousin - Limoges and the capital of the Creuse area - Gueret both with interesting architecture, museums, markets, restaurants and famous wares. On the way to these places are an array of small historic villages and hamlets.

Within 45 minutes you can visit the Wolf Park.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Neil says: "If you are after some peace away from the hustle and bustle, then this is the cottage for you. Offering great value for money, in my opinion, the cottage is perfectly well equipped for a stay of a week or two. The word rustic comes to mind, which is to say that the cottage is an converted old stone building in a quiet street in a quiet hamlet in a quiet part of France - ideal for getting away from it all! The cottage itself has all the amenities you need (including sky tv and a dvd player, if thats your thing) and a nice, private garden. We enjoyed good weather more or less every day, and subsequently made use of the supplied BBQ. Would we go back to the same cottage again? Yes, I think we would. The communication between us and the owner was excellent prior to going on holiday, and they went above and beyond to ensure that our holiday was as hassle free as possible. Overall, highly recommended."
