Our detached villa is situated in the prestigious development of Quesada, adjacent to the typically Spanish town of Rojales in the Costa Blanca, and easily accessible from either Alicante or Murcia airports (see maps below). We are away from the bustle but only ten minutes drive from the wonderful sandy beach at Guardamar. Guests will be able to enjoy the use of the private shared residents pool, which is immediately below the villa.

We are delighted with our villa and hope you enjoy it too. It is situated on the edge of Quesada, adjoining Rojales, and overlooks the community garden and pool, part of La Marquesa golf course, and across the valley to El Recorral, a protected natural park. There are also distant views of the Crevillente Mountains.

The villa has two comfortably furnished bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with large fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a full-size bath, high-pressure shower, washbasin, bidet and w.c, while the separate kitchen is equipped with granite work surfaces, a four-ring halogen hob, fridge-freezer, combination microwave cooker, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and juicer. The living room includes a dining table and chairs and two sofas. These are not sofa beds and so the maximum occupancy is therefore normally four. An exception is made for a baby in a cot, and we may also be able to put up an additional bed to accommodate a small child. Hire of a cot can be arranged, together with any other baby equipment you may require. The villa is equipped with ceiling fans throughout, top-of-the-range air-conditioning in the sitting/dining room, and also heating if required occasionally in the winter evenings. There is a television, receiving 34 satellite TV channels, including UK terrestrial channels, Sky movies and sports, plus 14 digital radio channels, a DVD/CD player, and a small selection of CDs and DVDs. A safe is available free-of-charge for the use of guests, an iron and ironing board, together with a hairdryer in each bedroom and plenty of hangers.
Good quality bed linen and towels are provided, but you will need to bring your own towels for the pool or beach please.
 

The living room opens onto the terrace, which has a table and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining - with a view. Steps lead down to our own small garden and, at the opposite side of the villa, is a further garden area, of which part is paved and equipped with another table and chairs. We also provide two sun-beds for use in the garden, together with beach mats and parasols for guests to take to the beach. Access to the villa and to the pool involves steps and is therefore, unfortunately, not wheelchair-friendly.

In our experience, the pool is never crowded - we have never seen it in use by more than two or three groups at any one time, usually less. Access to the pool area is via a locked gate, to which only residents and their guests have a key. The pool is larger than those on most communities, has a separate shallow section for children or just for lounging, showers and extensive sunbathing areas, equipped with sun beds for your use. No worry about mosquitos - we have never seen one anywhere in the Southern Costa Blanca.
 

The Costa Blanca region
Costa Blanca, literally the White Coast, is so named because of its many fine white sandy beaches - many, including nearby Guardamar, flying the Blue Flag. An average of 320 days sunshine and average temperatures of 15C in winter and 25C in summer make this an ideal all year round holiday destination. Shops and restaurants in the area are open all year, unlike certain resorts which are seasonal and therefore many restaurants and other businesses close down in the winter. Due to the health-giving effects of the salt lakes on the atmosphere, combined with the climate, the World Health Organisation states that this particular section of the Costa Blanca is one of the healthiest places in the world to live.

If you are house-hunting in the Costa Blanca area, Quesada makes an ideal central base but, like us, you may love it so much you end up buying here!

Discounts on car-hire
We assume you will want a hire car available at the airport and will, therefore, be interested to know that we can obtain discounted rates for you - we can send further details on request. A car can be rented very reasonably and is convenient, as well as enabling you to see more of the area. Alternatively, if you would prefer to be collected from the airport this can be arranged.

The area has an excellent road network, and we find Spanish drivers very courteous. Detailed directions to the villa will be forwarded on receipt of the final payment.

Do you need baby equipment?
To avoid having to take bulky equipment with you, we can provide you with details of a local facility to hire what you need, eg. a cot, buggy, high chair, or anything else you need. You are able to book your requirements in advance, have the equipment delivered to the villa and collected when you leave. The business is run by a British couple and all equipment is hygienically cleaned and safety checked prior to delivery. If you need a car seat, this can be booked, at no extra charge, from the car-hire company mentioned above.
 

The villa comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, panoramic views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a themepark, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a theatre/cinema.
