This private villa is located on the East coast of Mauritius in the village of Poste Lafayette which is between Belle Mare on the east coast and Grand Gaube on the north coast.
The nearest commercial centre is a town called Flacq which is 10 minutes by car from the villa. Here you will find all major banks, supermarkets, local shops and a very lively local market on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Distance from Port Louis: 20km or 35 minutes by car
Distance from the airport: 35km or 60 minutes by car
Distance from Grand Baie: 15km or 25 minutes by car

The world famous Hotel Prince Maurice is only 5 minutes away by car and the local beach is directly opposite the hotel. You may use the spa and water sports facilities upon prior arrangement.

There is also an 18 hole Golf course at the Links Club at Belle Mare and a diving centre at the Belle Mare Plage hotel.

 

The villa is located in a private road less than a minute away from the public beach at Poste Lafayette and this part of the coastline is widely considered to be an area of outstanding natural beauty. The villa sits in a garden of over 4500 square metres and there is an abundance of local flora and fauna. The tropical garden offers a haven of peace and tranquillity as well as total privacy. The villa is furnished to a high standard and offers spacious accommodation.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin, 1 single. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a east facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, boat hire, fishing, walking, cycling.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, wind surfing, golf, tennis, scuba diving, historic sites, shopping areas, a themepark, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find horse riding, a museum.

Adam & Vicki says: "This was our first holiday in a villa and not having the comfort of a holiday company to fall back on was a bit un nerving initially. However when we arrived at the villa we were warmly welcomed by Neshat (owner) and Manta (the cook). The villa itself is exactly as shown on the website set amongst its own private gardens maintained to a high standard daily by the gardener. Even though it advises on the website the villa is for 6-8 people we were still surprised at the size of the villa as it has plenty of space, and if you were to have small children you would be well catered for. The swimming pool is cleaned daily and provides a tranquil setting to help relax during the day. The days can be very hot and the air conditioning in the rooms worked very well to ensure you get a good nights sleep. The villa is set back from the road which is quiet anyway and has gates for security. The local beach (which is 2 mins from the villa) is nice, however we would strongly recommend you hire a car (this can be arranged via Neshat) before you go as if you venture further south there is possibly one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen at Belle Mare. Its very quiet here so you pretty much have the choice of the whole stretch of beach, and is only about 15 mins car journey. There is a VERY nice restaurant in Trou deau douce called la four a chaud. We recommend the lobster! If you dont want to travel as far there is also a nice restaurant just north of the villa (about 10mins in the car) at a hotel called maison dete. The cocktails here are also very nice. These restaurants were both quite expensive but well worth the extra pennies! If you need to go to the supermarket the first one you will come across in centre du flaq is just behind the market - we wouldnt recommend going to this one as its very busy and can be very unpleasent to shop in, however when you turn at kfc instead of taking your first left take the second left into a shopping complex, in here on the bottom floor you will find a much quieter supermarket which houses everything you will need. We went on a boat trip (organise by Neshat) from trou deau douce which was highlight of our holiday. It took us to a small island called ile aux cerfs which is very picturesque, and whilst can be busy near lunch time, you dont notice as you are too taken aback by the scenary. After staying here for a while we were taken to another small part of the island where dinner was being cooked on a bbq. There is free soft drinks for the kids and free alcohol for the adults. The food consisted of bbq chicken fish and lobster and was absolutly delicious (the best we tasted on the whole holiday). We particularily enjoyed the rum punch in mauritius and thoroughly recommend you try it! We then boarded the boat again and chose to next go to the coral reef away from the tourist area. This was amazing and a must do whilst visiting the island! Back at the villa the maid cleans daily and will happily do any washing you have. In regards to food, you can just give the cook some money and she will purchase the ingrediants for the following day (cheaper than you could at the supermarket). Bare in mind that the style of cooking is creole however they did make us spag bol on arrival (as vicki doesnt like spices). She can make a nice curry and fresh bread! We would recommend visiting this villa and mauritius generally, we had a brilliant time and will definitely be returning :-)!! "
