Self contained cabana only feet away from a large private swimming pool. Built to a very high spec. it offers large living/sleeping accomodation for up to three people with one double and one single foldaway beds. Fully tiled en-suite bathroom with shower and hot water facilities. Small kithenette allows for tea/coffee and toast making facilities and fridge for the beers! (Here you need only to ask the owners for Lunch or Dinner and they will happily provide a home cooked meal for you). 240 volt electric power points compatible for modern appliances. The property is set in a privately owned large garden where the main house is to the front of the land and the cabana at the rear in the mature landscaped garden with coconut and palm trees, numerous varieties of tropical fruit trees and with your own area for sun bathing.  

Gonnapinuwala village is just 6km inland from busy Hikkaduwa town centre. With its slow, laidback pace its an ideal base to relax, soak up the sun and then wander down to Hikkaduwa for some nightlife..! Appx. 10 minutes walk into the village which has a well stocked "super market", post office, wine shop, hospital, police station and two or three local restaurants. 

Hikkaduwa is appx. 250 rupees "tuk-tuk" ride away. Here is what made Sri Lanka famous....its long sandy beaches..! There are more than 50 places to eat and drink, and three beach night clubs enable you to dance the night away. Relaxing during the days and bustling at night. Full PADI courses are available – or just spend the day snorkelling around the coral. Glass-bottom boats can be hired to take you out to see the abundance of tropical fish swimming in the crystal clear water. Nearby about 2 km from Gonnapinawala is a large lake where nature is the word......built alongside the waterfront is the “nature resort” restaurant where you can bird watch with a beer in your hand and sample the locally caught crabs for lunch. Along the coast from Hikkaduwa is Seenigama where turtle’s can by found laying their eggs on the beach? Dodanduwa, 2 miles from the cabana, you can hire a small boat to explore in lagoons or Bata for the locally caught fish. Water skiing is available at a nearby lake and canoeing also is close by. A further 3 miles away is the famous village of Mitiyagoda where moonstone gems are mined. The small shop by the mine is terrific value and they will make whatever piece of jewellery you require..! Further out – 30 minutes in a tuk-tuk, is the historic town of Galle with its 16th century Dutch Fort surrounding the old part of the town. International cricket is played on the idyllic ground and plenty of shops to wander around. A chance to dine at the ”light house” hotel and maybe stay to see the kandyan dancers perform.

The room/studio comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the Single foldaway bed are available in the Cabana. This gives room for up to 3 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The room/studio has video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 3 in the living room and 3 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware.

The room/studio is in a very quiet area. It has a private west facing swimming pool, a west facing garden, a west facing patio area, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The room/studio is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the room/studio you will find a beach, water skiing, boat hire, fishing, cycling, scuba diving, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the room/studio you will find a museum.
