This inland sea-lagoon is comprised of 60% mineral water and 40% seawater and maintains an average temperature of 21-27 degrees Celsius (70-81 F).

The healing waters rich in includes potassium, ammonium, iron and iodine, year after year continue to attract visitors from around the world.

The beautiful, orderly spa built and maintained by the Greek Government on the what has been called the largest underground cave in Europe, located at the lake.
