Polscoe Cottage
Polscoe Cottage is a lovely four bedroomed cottage located in Sheviock in the relatively unspoilt, beautiful and quiet corner of S.E. Cornwall. It is set in a large rambling garden with off road parking just five minutes drive from the beach, golf course and local shops.
Location and local attractions
Polscoe is situated in what is also known as the Rame Peninsular where you will also find Whitsand Bay - a 3 mile stretch of sandy beach, which is popular for surfing, Polperro, Portwinkle, Looe, Kingsand and Cawsand - all lovely typical seaside fishing towns, Rame Head and the National Trust sites Mount Edgcumbe and Antony House. Country walks are right outside the gate but a car is needed for other excursions. There are several nearby pubs welcoming families and Plymouth and Liskeard are less than half an hour away. There are several nearby supermarkets and for convenience one will also deliver to the cottage. Plymouth hosts the National Aquarium, a dry ski slope, sports centre and several cinema/bowling and shopping complexes as well as various excellent restaurants. Liskeard and Bodmin Moor are a similar distance in the opposite direction and there is even a nearby Monkey sanctuary.
Other information about the cottage
Half of the cottage is at least 600 hundred years old, and this half was originally two small keepers cottages which had been converted into one during the 1920s. The other half was built about 15 years ago to create the spacious home that it now is.The garden is sheltered with a pond in front of the cottage and a stream, with its own little island, running through the garden behind. The garden totally surrounds the cottage and behind the cottage this borders onto fields. The front garden is enclosed by typical countryside rambling hedges giving the whole garden a feeling of privacy and tranquility. Between the cottage and the stream to the rear there is a patio and barbecue area for outdoor dining.
Inside the rooms are traditional cottage rooms with low ceilings, beams and large open fireplaces. All the rooms, both upstairs and down have views over the garden.

Selina says: "The photos do not do this property justice.It is absolutely Majestic and takes your breath away.
The cottage is perfect,the surrounding gardens,the bridges, the big willow at the back ,the stream and the seating areas all blend into this fairytale setting . We had such a wonderful time and the kids loved the stream and occupied themselves for hours morning and evening exploring the gardens. it is perfectly situated for visiting many towns.
The beach is five minutes up the road
as are a couple of very nice Pubs.
We highly,highly recommend this property,you wont be disappointed.
