This fabulous Riad was finished in 2007, designed by two well-known French designer / landscape gardeners who live locally, Eric Ossart & Arno Maurières. And the interior has been done by the renowned interior designer François Gilles. The house is built of natural materials: brick and mud - so it's cool in summer and warm in winter. The charm of the house makes it a delight to stay in, and there are many areas of salon and terrace so plenty of space to spread out and relax.

All the bedrooms are en-suite - and on top of this there is a traditional Moroccan Hammam with shower.

The salons are decorated in a traditional African style; the dining room is dominated by an old Moroccan tent lining fabric strip which hangs round the room. Both salons and dining room have large French windows which open directly onto the courtyard.

The main house has 3 double bedrooms, all en-suite; salon with fireplace; dining room; atelier/work room; kitchen; laundry room/staff quarters; WC. Large furnished terrace above, with plants.
The studio has 1 double bedroom en-suite; salon with fireplace; kitchen; hammam with WC & changing room. Terrace above.
Both the main house and the studio face onto the central courtyard, which has a small swimming pool in the middle with fountain flowing into it; and the garden is fully planted with fruit trees (banana, papaya), palm, bougainvillea, and other wonderfully exotic plants. The evening garden scent is sensational.

The master bedroom in the main house has a large double bed and en-suite bathroom, and it’s own private terrace; and it is linked to the atelier / work room.

The guest bedroom in the main house is a charming and cosy space with double bed, and its own small private terrace, dressing room and shower room en-suite.

The hammam is a joy. A private Moroccan bath room with shower. A fabulous thing to do on a cold winter’s evening!

The children’s bedroom is the only part of the house that is part of the original old house – it’s a long thin room with dressing area and cupboards one end, and private salon with TV & DVD player the other end; and above each end is a platform bedroom, each with double bed, accessed by a brick staircase. Bathroom en-suite.

The studio bedroom is a large double bedroom, with 2 single beds which can be joined and become one very large double bed. It’s got its own bathroom and private terrace.

The children’s room is very flexible: it can sleep 4 children who don’t mind sharing a double bed, 2 in each; or it can be comfortably shared by 2 adult friends, who would each have their own sleeping space, each one having a curtain to give privacy.

So the house comfortably sleeps 8 adults, or 10 people if 4 are children, and the children have their own private area with TV & DVD player!

The courtyard is wonderfully light, and the main house terrace is a sun-trap – with cool shaded area, and all fully furnished with comfortable outside furniture. The studio terrace is used mainly by the staff, for hanging out washing and so-on.

This house gives you a luxury and thoroughly relaxing holiday. It is beautifully furnished with all comforts.

There is a garden boy who comes in every day and looks after the pool and garden and terraces.

And there is a housekeeper with assistant and they look after the house and keep it clean, do the laundry, and all cooking. Breakfast is included, and other meals can be prepared on demand, for an extra charge.
The manager of the house visits daily to check that everything is in order, and he will help with any questions about the house or the surroundings, and suggest trips and places to visit. 

Taroudant is an old Medieval walled town, the surrounding wall being build completely of mud. Parts of it have been recently restored, and the restoration work continues.

Taroudant sits in the fertile Souss Valley, between the High Atlas and the Anti Atlas mountain ranges - so surrounded by snow-capped mountains where the trecking is superb. You can go off for day trips, walking in the mountains - or take a guide and spend a night or two in local Berber homes being entertained in the traditional Moroccan style, and walking during the day.

The town boasts two Souks - the Berber Souk and the Arab Souk. You can find anything there! It's sometimes called the "mini-Marrakech".

Taroudant is an hour inland from Agadir where long sandy beaches stretch for miles north and south. This part of the Moroccan coast is well known for excellent surfing and people come from all over the world to ride the waves there.

The golf in Agadir is excellent too.

So Taroudant is an excellent base: Close to sea and mountains, and not too far to get into the desert.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 1 twin, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 5 bathrooms and 6 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.
