Casa Lilla is built onto the town walls of Acquasparta and there are lots of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. just a few minutes’ walk away, there is even a little pub in Acquasparta which is unusual for a small Italian town. The summer months are a great time to visit Umbria as all the small towns have festivals on and each town has taverna open, places where you can get typical local food and wine cooked by the local 'mammas' for next to nothing, they really are a great experience.
The apartment is very well suited for families, being on the ground floor and with the enclosed garden and patio areas. There is very safe on street parking directly outside Casa Lilla. We have a baby cot, highchair, baby bath, stroller, kid’s toys and books, and we can put up smaller camp beds for young children if requested.

We have strived to provide everything that you could possibly need for a holiday stay, the kitchen is very well equipped, the bathrooms are all fully tiled and all have double size shower enclosures with power showers, the mattresses are thick and luxurious and the linens are the best quality. There is a large selection of books, DVD movies, games and music.

The kitchen is well equipped with 4 ring gas hob, freezer fridge, grill, oven, microwave and lots of dishes, cutlery, pots pans, etc, etc, everything you could possibly need. It has 2 large double bedrooms, (La Luna and Le Stelle) both with beautiful new en-suit bathrooms. The dining / kitchen area is very spacious with a wood burning stove and as with all the rooms at Casa Lilla the apartment is centrally heated with thermostat controls in each room.

In the bedrooms for your convenience there is an alarm clock radio, hairdryer, ironing board and iron. There are floor fans for the summer months, but with its location on the ground floor, the apartment stays lovely and cool even during the hottest days. 

Acquasparta is a small 'real' Italian town, with an approx population of 5000. It is not as touristy as its more famous larger neighbours, Spoleto, Orvieto, Terni, Todi, etc, but you can experience a real taste of Italian life here. Join the locals and sit on the main Piazza outside one of the cafe / bars with a cool beer or glass of local wine and watch the kids playing or the locals going about their business.

You will find all the shops you need for a self catering stay in Acquasparta, there are 3 small supermarkets, lots of bars, cafes, pharmacy, clothes shops, fruit and veg shop, bakeries and we even have a small pub, Pub 55, which is very unusual for an Italian town, they normally have live music on at the weekends, closed on Sundays, and don’t open till about 9:30pm, but don’t expect many people to be there until after 11pm most nights, even in the summer, the Italians go out late.
 

The railway station in Acquasparta is less than 5 minutes walk away from Casa Lilla and from there you can get the local provincial trains to Perugia (north) or to Terni (south) and from Terni you can get a train to anywhere. Terni is less than 10 minutes away, we often take trains when we go out for the day and they are very good value. The train to Rome is takes only 50 minutes and is very good value, you can get a one way ticket for under 7 euros.  

PLEASE NOTE: The commune swimming pool is a 15 min walk from Casa Lilla, open from June to August with an entrance fee, it is well maintained and managed and a safe place for children, there are 2 large pools and a kids pool, snack bar and lots of lounge space. Beside the pool complex there are basketball courts and tennis courts. Both bedrooms can be set up with 1 king size double bed or 2 single beds or 3 single beds, please specify which you need when inquiring. We have WIFI ADSL internet access through the house, we can supply a computer in the apartment but this must be requested when booking.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 double and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 3 single sofa beds. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing garden, a east facing patio area, a barbeque.

The apartment is right beside historic sites.

Close to the apartment you will find swimming, walking, cycling, mountain biking, tennis, a sports center, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find horse riding, a theatre/cinema.
