Villa Carta is situated in the area of Cinisi and enjoys a splendid panoramic view over Punta Raisi and the Gulf of Castellammare. The distance to the Palermo Airport is about 5 km and to Palermo downtown - about 30 km. The charm and the position of the villa is emphasized not only from the structure built with typical local materials such as stones in which is grafted the warmth of wood and terracotta but also from the luxury furniture and maintained garden characterized by English path and various Mediterranean plants.
The villa is organized in two levels. Around the house there is a wide veranda with stone arched and wooden roof from where you can access the living room – a very elegant and refined environment, arranged in various spaces and angles suitable for reading or having conversation. The whole scene is dominated by the fire place in stone over which an elegant staircase is twisting up to the first floor - an element that distinguishes the hall giving it a sophisticated flavor. The furniture consists of some antique and precious objects.
The hall is connected with the dining-room as well as with a small corridor which leads to the kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is arranged with different objects pertaining the traditional Sicilian manufacture such as the collection of cooper utensils and the table representing the so called Sicilian poor art (“arte povera”). The laundry is contiguous to the kitchen.
The main bedroom is very spacious with view over the garden. The bedroom is accomplished by a wardrobe and a bathroom with shower. The second double bedroom is stylish too. The main bathroom on the ground floor contains valuable majolica and is provided with tub.
On the first floor of the villa we can find an entrance hall which protrudes over the hall and is adjusted to a conversation room with original banks with comfortable pillows. A wide arch leads to further room, also very expansive with sofa beds and studio angle. Also on the first floor there are one double bedroom and another two bedrooms with twin beds, all of them nice and functionally furnished. The adjacent bathroom is with shower. All bedrooms have garden view and at the same time enjoy the sea view which is few kilometres away.
Outside, Villa Carta as has been already mentioned, is surrounded by a wide well maintained garden where the swimming pool is situated close to another attractive place like the external kitchen with barbeque set and furnaces suitable for preparing original dishes of Sicilian cuisine. The dining area is composed by a table and banks and the external kitchen is equipped by utensils and household facilities. There are various external angles where moments of relax can be enjoyed.
The typical position of the villa i.e. the few kilometers from Punta Raisi and therefore from the airport determines a certain aspect that is the distinctive sound of the aircrafts that in fact is not a troublesome as the fixtures of the house which are wooden and the glass make the unit distant from any disturbing elements. Has to be mentioned as well the air-conditioning available in the property and the heating facilities during winter.
Because of the large external and internal spaces, the villa needs a particular care necessary for its full functionality that’s why it is supposed the presence of a caretaker who can facilitate the stay and the vacation of the guests. There is available as well a maid for the house-maintenance or a cook for cooking dishes on spot. These further services are upon request and are paid apart.

Villa Carta è ubicata nel territorio di Cinisi e gode di un bellissimo panorama su Punta Raisi e il Golfo di Castellammare. La Villa dista 5 km. circa dall’aeroporto di Palermo e 15 km. circa dalla città di Palermo. Il fascino e la posizione della villa è sottolineata sia dalla struttura realizzata con materiali tipici della zona come la pietra in cui si innesta il calore del legno e del cotto, sia per gli arredi lussuosi, che per il curato giardino con prato all’inglese e piante della macchia mediterranea.
La villa è organizzata su due elevazioni, dalle ampie verande che la circondano con arcate di pietra e rivestimento del solaio in legno, si accede nel salone, ambiente molto elegante e raffinato, organizzato secondo vari spazi ed angoli di lettura e conversazione. Scenario dominate nel salone è il camino in pietra da cui si snoda l’elegante scala che conduce al primo piano, tale elemento caratterizza molto l’ambiente e lo rende sofisticato. Gli arredi sono composti da alcuni mobili d’antiquariato e oggettistica apprezzabile.
Dal salone si accede sia nella zona pranzo che in un disimpegno da cui si aprono le porte d’ingresso della cucina, di due camere da letto e del bagno. Gli arredi della cucina sono oggetti ed elementi appartenenti: alla tradizione dell’artigianato siciliano come la collezione di pentole in rame e la dispensa, cosi come il tavolo in arte povera. Attigua alla cucina vi è la lavanderia.
La camera da letto padronale è spaziosa e con vista sul giardino sottostante. Dalla camera si raggiunge il guardaroba e il bagno con doccia. Anche la seconda camera matrimoniale è elegante e ben strutturata. Il bagno principale del piano terra è caratterizzato da pregiate maioliche ed è fornito di vasca.
Al primo piano della villa troviamo una prima sala che sporge sul salone del piano terra ed è adibita a zona conversazione con originali panche in muratura e comodi cuscini, un ampio portale in pietra fa da ingresso in un’ulteriore sala, anch’essa molto spaziosa, con divani e un angolo studio. Sempre al primo piano troveremo una camera da letto matrimoniale e due camere doppie. Tutte sono ben arredate e funzionali. Il bagno della zona notte(primo piano) è con doccia. Tutte le camere da letto hanno la vista sul giardino e contemporaneamente si gode anche della vista del mare che dista solo pochi chilometri.
All’esterno Villa Carta come è stato già ricordato, dispone di un ampio giardino che la circonda interamente, molto curato in cui è stata disposta la piscina che non dista molto da un altro angolo alquanto suggestivo, cioè la cucina esterna con barbecue, fuochi a gas e tipico forno a legna per la preparazione di originali piatti della tradizione siciliana. L’angolo pranzo è caratterizzato da un tavolo è panche in muratura, anche la cucina esterna è fornita di utensili e di elettrodomestici. Vari sono gli spazi esterni arredati in cui si può soggiornare e godere di momenti di relax.
La tipica posizione in cui è collocata la villa cioè a pochi chilometri da Punta Raisi e quindi dall’aeroporto determina una nota caratteristica, cioè la tipica sonorità dei mezzi di trasporto aereo che non è un nota di particolare disturbo, tra l’altro gli infissi della villa tutti in legno e con vetro camera rendono l’unità abitativa lontana da tutti quelli che possono essere gli elementi di disturbo. Da notare che le camere da letto sono fornite d’impianto di condizionamento cosi come di piastre di riscaldamento per l’inverno
Proprio per l’ampiezza degli spazi sia interni che esterni la villa necessita di una particolare cura per il riordino e la piena funzionalità per cui è prevista la presenza di un custode che può agevolare la permanenza e la vacanza degli ospiti. Mentre su richiesta degli ospiti in base alle loro esigenze si può avere la presenza di una donna delle pulizie e di un cuoco nel caso si vogliono preparare dei piatti tipici in loco. Questo ulteriore servizio è a richiesta e quindi costo a parte. Possibilità di parcheggio.
