Luxury log cabin, located in a quiet rual village of Akaslompolo Yllas. There are about 10 different restaurants and bars to choose from serving a variety of food. There is a well stocked supermarket and several souvenir and sports shops about 1km from the cabin. The Ski bus stops just down the road from the cabin. 

When the day light is short and the ground is covered in thick crips sparkling snow, there are plenty of outdoor activites to keep you occupied if you feel like a break from the skiing. Take one of the exilarating husky or snowmobile safarirs, or maybe a snow shoe trek through the forest.

The cross counrty ski tracks are locate to the side of the property and there are some 320km of groomed tracks that wind their way around the village and fells. There are about 69 down hill ski runs of which about 30 are flood light for winter days and evenings.

There is always the sauna and log fire to enjoy after a long day in the snow and of course a chance of seeing the Northern Lights. 

Take time to relax and enjoy the changing scenery now the snow has melted away.

Take a pony trek through the forest, cycle or walk some of the 320km of tracks used by the cross country skiers in the winter. Take a gondola ride to the top of the fell have a coffee and enjoy the view.

There is a golf course in the local town of Levi wher you can golf the night away under the mid-night sun.

Guided fishing trips can be arranged for those that would like to catch their own salmon supper, or manybe you would just like to sit on the back terrace and watch the reindeers grazing in the woods.  

The cabin is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac at the edge of the village. The back of the cabin opens into the national park. During the summer and autum months sit on the back terrace enjoy the peace and tranquillity, while watching the reineers grazing in the woods. In the winter months the cabin has direct access to the cross country ski tracks.

The cabin comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 twin. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the upstairs. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cabin has 1 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm. The cabin has a sauna.

The cabin has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cabin is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing balcony, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cabin is right beside walking, cycling, mountain biking.

Close to the cabin you will find swimming, fishing, horse riding, skiing/snowboarding, a sports center, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cabin you will find golf.

We had a fantastic time in Ylläs, the cabin was perfect and Ylläs was a great place. We had great meals at Pippola and The Poro. All the trips were fantastic, Santa, Lainio Village, Huskies and the Reindeer Safari. Thank you for all your help in making our Christmas fantastic.

We are from Australia and never expected to see a white Christmas. All six of us were working in the UK and decided to come to Lapland for a once in a lifetime experience. We were not disappointed. The cabins are stunning and exceeded our expectations. You should have seen the look on Santa’s face when he arrived at the cabin to find six grown adults waiting to greet him. Thank you for the fabulous organisation and holiday that we will never forget! We even managed to snowboard everyday…..what a bonus.

This is our third time in Lapland. It is our first time in a cabin as we have previously stayed in hotels. We will not stay in a hotel again when we come to Lapland. The cabins are lovely, the log fire, sauna, heating cabinet for our snow clothes and under floor heating and in such good condition. My daughter cried when we leave and said that she didn’t want to go back to our home. I was with her on that front. The cabin experience has given us more freedom, more home comforts and the flexibility to do our own thing. This experience is for those people that like to be independent and away from the tourists, having said that, the excursions were so well organised, that we felt very special. “A holiday that we will not forget” we will come back again.
