Beautiful stonebuilt old house of 19th century, just renovated, with roof terraces on three levels and a wonderful romantic courtyard with an old mandarin tree. Free wireless high speed internet. All the ground floors are with the beautiful mosaic pebbled handworked floors. The last house in a dead end street. sea view from bedroom and 2 terraces. You can sunbathe totally private (naked if you like) on the sunbeds on the terrace, take an outside shower, lounge on the second terrace, sleep on the roof terrace, all with stairs. or just wine and dine and bbq on the beautiful courtyard with stone pebbled floor (chochlakia, hand made one by one). The Mandarin house is a very tastefully designed house, all furniture are old and restored, nothing is new. lots of candles and niches.
a bit further the melekounia (honey and sesame cookies) are handmade in a bakery. The village of Koskinou is a traditional one, with lovely friendly but initially distant greek people. for the rest there are artists from athens and some foreigners, and a nice amount of children although not directly neighbouring.

Traditional village house set in Koskinou, a romantic village close to Rhodes Old Town. The house is newly renovated and great care has been taken to keep its original character with its mosaic floor and beautiful stone arch. Remarkable for a house in the middle of the village is its complete privacy. Both inside the house and outside(courtyard and roof terrace), you will feel completely free and undisturbed. For those who are looking for tranquility, comfort and absolute privacy in a historical setting, this will prove to be the ultimate place to rent.

The village house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double and 2 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house has 2 bathrooms for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the village house cool.

The village house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 7 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

fleur says: "the property was beautifully finished and presented. it was more than we expected , the photos on the website do not do it justice, it is even more amazing in the flesh. we loved the small town of Koskinou, even though it was at the very end of the season we still found a few lovely places to eat in the evenings and one in particular was excellent. the owner Gundrun was very responsive to any queries or questions we had and she did not in any way impose on our stay but we knew she was there if we needed her, which in our opinion is perfect. we would certainly recommend the house to friends and family as it was so lovely and great value for money. if we do stay again then we will certainly bring friends so we can share the experience. the attention to detail made the house feel very welcoming and not in any way just a holiday home. the house had everything you would possibly need for your stay. all in all a very high standard of accommodation especially the swinging bed on the terrace."
