Summer Memories aparthotel is located in Pefkos resort of Rhodes island. Pefkos is one of the most famous tourist resorts of the island of Rhodes. In Greek Pefkos means pine tree which gives you an idea of the local scenery. It has grown from a sleepy little bay into a lively small resort with a long beach and a very clean sea with watersports. The beach in Pefkos is not as crowded as it gets in the neighbouring village of Lindos. With less watering holes and packed discos but still a number of delightful restaurants, the pace in Pefkos is quieter, slower in tempo, and somehow a bit more Greek. For a laid-back time, with a night or two in Lindos for serious fun, Pefkos offers the best of both worlds.

With all the delights of Pefkos on the doorstep, you wouldnt know it from the relaxing atmosphere which prevails here. Even the sandy beach is only 300 metres away, if you ever want to leave the inviting pool and its welcoming bar. By the reception area there are computers with internet access, which the guests of the hotel can use. By the pool bar there is a pool table and an air-hockey.

Lindos village: Pefkos resort is only 3 kilometres from the famous ancient village Lindos. You can get there easily, either by bus or by taxi. Lindos is the main tourist destination on the island. The village is famous for its Acropolis with the castle of the Knights, the traditional architecture of the houses, the narrow alleys, the beautiful sandy beach and the very active nightlife. Lindos was famous in ancient times for its naval force. From here you can easily reach the southwest part of Rhodes with the picturesque villages and the fabulous beaches. Lindos can also be reached by boat from the Mandraki Rhodes harbor.

Stayed for one week at Summer Memories Apartments - having booked direct with the hotel. Email details are on their website. Overall quite happy with our stay - it was good value and if I was returning to Pefkos I would certainly consider staying at Summer Memories.

The hotel is well located in Pefkos - there is a supermarket right by the entrance and there's a whole range of restaurants / cafes nearby. There is also space for parking if you have a hire car. There is a larger beach that is approx 10 mins walk away and a smaller beach approx 5 mins away. We spent most of our time on the smaller beach which was perfectly ok - sunbeds on both cost E4 / day / sunbed (seems a standard Rhodes rate).

Stayed in room 36 on the first floor. It was a good size with balcony, one double bed, one single a small cooking area with two rings, sink, cupboards & fridge. There was a sofa, good cupboard space and a reasonable shower room with loo & sink. We rented a fan for the week from the hotel for E15 which given the heat we particularly needed at night. All rooms have aircon if you want to pay for it.

The floors are all tiled and cleaned most days - meaning the overall cleanliness was quite good. The staff were otherwise very friendly and welcoming - especially Vasilis the owner who speaks good English.

There is a pool with sun loungers and bar at the hotel although we spent most of our time out and about so didn't really use them. Lindos is about 5 mins up the road by car - so easily reachable either for a trip out / dinner. It is very picturesque and well worth a visit - either for the sights or the food. We had the use of a hire car - but I think taxis are only about E5 one way.

Faliraki is about 40 mins by car, the airport 50 mins and Rhodes town 1 hour.
