We are Bren and Alan, now starting our fifth year of renting our delightful villa and guesthouse in Mavrata, Kefalonia. Bren has extensive knowledge and expertise having worked in the global corporate hospitality industry for over 20 years. Mavrata is a lovely traditional Greek village with a pretty church at its centre and a fantastic family run taverna, Elios. The villa is within easy walking distance of Elios taverna and just 5 minutes’ drive from the many fantastic tavernas and bars on the seafront of the beautiful seaside town of Katelios where you will find lovely sandy beaches and a sheltered shallow sandy bay with crystal clear water.

We are Michael and Daphne, after visiting the beautiful island of Kefalonia and falling in love with it 25 years ago we decided to make this Island our home and have lived here for 8 years. We started our own business 6 years ago and have been welcoming guests ever since, please see our review pages for all our customers experiences with us. We are located close to the beautiful town of Skala, which boasts of restaurants, taverna’s, bars and local shops. After years of dreaming, we decided years ago to set up this project. We are Marc and Monique Hinfelaar (both born in 1962). We have two now adult children who live and work in the Netherlands. Greece has always been our favorite holiday destination, and in April 2014 the extensive search for a suitable piece of land finally brought us to this hill near Agia Galini. Here we found the ideal combination of tranquility and liveliness in the neighborhood. After the land was purchased and an architect found, we started building ‘Galini Breeze’ at the end of 2015. In April 2017 we opened our doors for the first season!Marc en Monique Hinfelaar in Galini Breeze During the realization of our dream complex, Marc mainly took on the business planning and marketing, while Monique mainly focused on the styling and furnishings. In the first few years we ran Galini Breeze entirely ourselves, and since 2022 we have been working partly with a property manager and an additional local team during the season. In addition to Galini Breeze, we do freelance work (in healthcare communication and healthcare management). In our spare time Marc is busy with music and we like to go to festivals and concerts. We enjoy good food and drinks, and also do some sports such as running, tennis or mountain biking. Or just walk along the beach… also wonderful!
