| "Excellent location. Very nice pool and good parking facilities. Well equipped, clean and practical.
Very welcoming local shop and good restaurants very close.
Would recommend this appartment but a car (or at least a bicycle), is necessary to benefit from the many beautiful places around the lake. We particularly enjoyed Limone and Salo.

| "This was our second time to the apartment and we enjoyed it as much as our first visit.
We used the local shop, La Macina pizzeria, Cavallino cafe and La Sosta restaurant and found them to be very good. The local shop will deliver. La Sosta needs to be booked if you want to be sure of a good table. A basic knowledge of restaurant Italian is a must.
The lake level is almost 2 meters higher than last year meaning that the local "beach" is submerged. Best beach is at the Lido degli Ulivi down at the bottom of Via Marconi which is the road off the first roundabout into Toscolano.
Local by-laws means that the pool can only be opened from the beginning of June.
A down side is the over development of the far end of the village and the damage being done to the roads and peacfulness of the village.

| "Our family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Cecina. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and met all our needs. It was everything we had hoped it would be.Our children loved the swimming pool, and although we were there in August, had almost exclusive use of it! The views from the apartment were stunning and exceeded our expectations. There was plenty to do - we visited Gardaland and Verona. Cecina was a very pretty town. We have never had a holiday in the same place, but we would come back here. Can really recommend it!"

| "One small thing about the property - there were not enough sunbeds!
Other comments re area etc: Guests should be warned that it is not possible to walk into the nearest town as there are no paths on the main road. We think access is possible from the hill but did not discover this until the end part of the holiday. We found it extremely difficult to get a taxi but managed in the end but it did cost us almost £50 for a ten minute journey there and back.
The local pizza restaurant in the village was very good but the menu is written in italian and german (remember your phrase books!!)

| "Apartment was absolutely fine. Clean, nice view and accommodation and furnishings to a very good standard.
Minuses - Noisy: dogs, strimmers, bikes, etc. Garage very difficult to get into with the Fiat Multipla we had we were very fortunate not to damage the car more than the odd scratch that we did incur. Also, where was this beach? Never did find the way down there across the very busy road at the bottom.
But these are minor gripes. All in all, we had a good week."

| "This was a wonderful apartment. I was so impressed with all of the little details that the owners had thought of, books for children, toys, maps and travel information and the 'introduction to apartment' book was excellent - packed with really good info. The views over the lake exceeded our expectations and the little village of cecina was so pretty. This was our first holiday with our little boy and we really enjoyed it. Excellent facilities for children.
Just a couple of things were disappointing - a clear update on when the pool is due to be open should be given before arrival (even more preferable at the time of booking) - no pool facilities should also be reflected in the rental price for the holiday. Temp was 26 C and no pool was disappointing. There was a mix up with the arrival instructions, having said that keys were brought to us at the gates of the apartment at 2am and rep was very nice about it. Also repairs maintenance etc should really be done when renters are not in the apartment. Small things, but worth mentioning. Overall a wonderful stay and we will be back to casagarda! Thanks again."

"The CasaGarda apartment was absolutely perfect. The views from the balcony were spectacular and perfect for having a nice cup of hot chocolate on in the cold mornings (We visitied in Novemebr). The apartment was spacious and in pristine condition, not a spec of dust anywhere! There were all the essentials needed for a family so it didn't matter if someone had forgotten something! We are already planning on returning to this aprtment in the summer! It is wonderfully located, as the town Toscolano Maderno wasn't far away at all, and very friendly. Can't wait to go back!"

| "A lovely property, clean and modern. Stunning views of the lake and mountain and a gloriously sunny balcony which our baby (just crawling!) loved. The gate at the top of the balcony stairs made it a very secure outdoor play area for our little boy. Nearly all essentials for babies catered for but could have done with a stair gate for indoors if possible.
The steep hill down/up to the apartment from the lake made it difficult to get out and about with a baby and everything we have to take with him. We would love to go back but will be taking grandparents and because of the hill we would recommend a car."

| "Casa Garda is a lovely apartment in a great location - beautiful views of lake Garda and the village of Cecina (with restaurants and a shop) is very close. Also it is possible to walk to Toscaleno-Maderno to get to the beach - however it's quite a hike back up the hill but you can reward yourself with a fantastic ice cream near the apartment.
The only real negative was that while we were there (last few days of September/ early October) the pool was closed, for the most part this was understandable as the weather was poor but when it was good it remained closed so we weren't able to use it, so I would advise people to bear this in mind if booking at a similar time as we were disappointed by this.
Overall though, the apartment is great and has everything you need with plenty to do in the surrounding area."

| "Casa Garda is a very nice apartment in a well maintained block. It's situation is pleasant enough being on the edge of Cecina which has a friendly shop, a good Pizzeria-Ristorante (does take away), and 'La Souza' is worth a visit if you have cash (no credit cards).
The pool at the apartment is outstandingly clean and very refreshing when the temperature is regularly in the 30s'. The apartment terrace is an excellent size and has an nice view (of Monte Baldo and the Lake). There is even an underground garage if you have a car - gate and garage door are remotely operated.
The Gelateria at the top of the hill is excellent - view, ice-cream and service.
There is air-con in the apartment if you need it. The only negative thing for us about the apartment was no bedside tables. Where do I put my book/water/watch/etc.
The Lake area is very busy in high season, but then why not - its a very beautiful part of the world."

| "This property exceeded or expectations. Stunning views over the lake. The property itself was extremely well equipped with plenty of room for the 4 of us. The pool and grounds were well looked after and very clean. We had the property pretty much to ourselves for the 2 weeks we were there in July with two other Italian couples coming up for the weekends only. We had no water for one of the days and we had extremely prompt help from your rep. who gave us a number to contact. This person got back to us within an hour of our call. The only slight drawback was the lack of air-conditioning in the downstairs bedroom. Temp. were in the mid to high 30's and it was extremely hot during the night. Have already given details to at least 3 people. Would buy this property if it was available."

| "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The one slight problem we encountered was finding out which one of the apartments was our apartment as it was not the end one but first floor second from the left hand end when facing the apartment block. Otherwise it was everything we wanted. The view is second to none, the facilities are sufficient, the village is peaceful and friendly, the village shop good for general groceries, La Macina trattoria excellent and Allbergo Cavallino a great spot for a nightcap. We will return!"

| "Quiet property, with everything you need for a great vacation! We absolutely had a fabulous time!! We didn't get to use the pool due to the weather, but I imagine it would have been great! The property was very clean and well stocked.
The only thing I would change is that the refridgerator be on when we arrive. We had purchased groceries just before arriving at the villa and the fridge took a while to get cold."

| "For anyone looking for a relaxing break in beutiful surroundings this would be hard to beat. The view from the balcony was stunning better than the photos suggest. The apartment was well furnished with quality items very comfortable beds. and fully equipped kitchen. It was perfect for us as a family , but the mezzanine level may not suit everyone as it lacks privacy from the living area.
A car allows you to explore the surrounding area, there is plenty to see. Venice is 2 hrs away and Verona about 1 hr 30 mins. Salo and Brescia are close by for those who need retail therapy. To late we found the 18 hole golf course just 10 mins walk away
In all would recommend this apartment to anyone. We hope to return."

"The apartment was excellently furnished and presented both inside and in the communal areas outside. Lovely views of the lake and surrounding mountains and within walking distance of a local shop, a restaurant and a couple of cafe/bar/ice cream shops.
The little extras were what made the apartment exceed our expectations - a few cds, dvds, childrens toys, books and local information and maps.
The only downside was that I can imagine in very hot weather it would be difficult to sleep in the mezzanine area."
Owner reply:
:
Thank you for your review. I just wanted to add that for 2007 air-conditioning is being added in the mezzanine area.

| "A high quality apartment with stunning lake and mountain views (website pictures don’t do the views justice!); well maintained pool and gardens – a great place to relax. We loved being able to walk to the local shop, restaurants and gelateria. Cecina is a peaceful and beautiful location away from the bustle of the lakeside towns which are picturesque and great to visit but busy in August. The car ferry from Toscolano-Maderno makes it easy to explore both sides of the lake. If you are feeling adventurous you can take the tunnels and hairpin roads into the mountains to explore other lakes. Our daughter enjoyed our days out to visit the tourist attractions of the excellent Gardaland and Aquapark Canevaworld and also the supply of toys, books and games in the apartment. Highly recommended. Also the website booking and payment system worked well and all our pre-holiday queries were answered very promptly."

"Air con would have graded our reply up to excelllent. It is a very hot property in the summer!
The instructions on arrival should have a more distinguishing identification on the property itself (very tricky in the dark!)"

| "Beautiful lake view and very quiet after the weekend as most of the properties are weekend homes for Italians. Lots of places to eat in walking distance. Don't overlook La Macina round the corner (100 yds) as very good food and value.
Only down side was no air-con (very hot week)."

"Not great value for a 1 Bedroom property.
Would have greatly appreciated toilet paper in the apartment when we arrived ! Also cleaning items.
Arrangements for arrival [ 5pm ] and departure [ 9am ] effectively meant we lost the best part of a day.
That said it was a lovely property in a nice village setting."
Owner reply:
:
Hi, thanks for your kind comments about the property. There should have been a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom cupboard for you, although we do state we can't provide consumables. Unfortunately we need the hours stated on changeover days (guests leaving and arriving on the same day) to clean the apartment (this can take between 5 and 8 hours depending on the state the property is left in by the guests), check and repair breakages, test the appliances and resolve problems if they have arisen during the previous week. This enables us to provide a spotless, perfectly working apartment every time.

The local shops are accessible/useful and Toscolano Mederno offers a great base to visit the whole lake. Lake Garda is a Beautiful Lake and the food/wine as you will find out is wonderful. Gracias"
