"This villa has tremendous views and we could not have done without the roof terrace with its beautiful flowers and privacy, especially in the evening watching the sun go down and the boats come in. The facilities were very good and the very large pool was cleaned very day. We felt very safe in the property with its sturdy wood doors and location, but I would not recommend the hill with children or elderly especially in the heat! Overall though a gorgeous villa!"

"We have just returned from an excellent 9 day stay in Sunrise/ Sunset Villa. Our party of 12 aged from 22 to 70 years all enjoyed the stay, though it wouldnt be suitable for people with mobility problems (steep stairs). The villa was spotless and all the furniture and fittings were of good quality. The pool was a good size and a lovely temperature and the terrace was pleasant and flowery (nicer than it looks in the pictures). Having two kitchens and living rooms was very convenient for a large party. We managed the walk up without great difficulty -once! But a car would be preferable. The town is pleasant though we found prices a little high compared to other less popular areas. The weather for late June was perfect hot of course during the day but with a pleasant breeze every afternoon. In short,go there you wont be disappointed."

"Both of the Villas are excellent value for money, well exquiped and with modern confortable furnishing throughout. I would definately recommend both the Villas and the area. The people are really friendly and the area is very safe and the food is excellent! We are already looking at dates for your visit next year!"

"What can I say, the villa is fantastic. We went to the villa with another family and found it great having the two seperate units. The villa is well equiped with all you could need, the kids loved the large pool which was warm all the time, you can see why the shallow end is 5ft deep, any shallower and the pool would have been too hot. The walk down to Kalkan is very pleasant but don't even attempt to walk back unless you are superfit, although my brother-in-law and I did it quite a few times we couldn't talk when we reached the villa and were dripping in sweat. Kalkan is a beautiful village with superb restaurants with wonderful views from the roof top terraces. The people are very friendly and helpful, especially in Infinity jewellers. My wife came out of there very happy indeed. To sum up we will definately return to Kalkan and to the villa Sunrise and villa Suset. A truly wonderful holiday."

"Our 2 families stayed at the villas in July 2007. It was good to have our own space, yet be able to enjoy our holiday together. The villas are beautiful and well furnished. The pool is rather deep for children unless they are proficiant in water. Views are terrific from the balconies or the pool terrace. The walk down to town is easily managed (even for those of us less fit), but only the superfit venture to trancend the road back!! A car is advisable,or the local taxis are available (but you will need to budget for this...approx 10ytl per trip at present). We had a great time and would recommend the villas, the area and the friendly locals to anyone wanting a more peacful holiday location."

"The villa has such a magnificent outlook, waking up to the view over the harbour was incredible. We were able to contact the agent quite easily and he was helpful. the amenities of the villa were excellent, and we made good use of everything. The location was just so tranquil, we were able to relax na dnot feel at all guilty...."

"The property was very good. the pool though has two deep ends as opposed to one shallow and one deep end. The location of Kalkan Bay was on a mountain side and is extremely hilly. You need to be quite fit to cope with walking from the villa to the town. The beaches in Kalkan were dissapointing but the beach at Patara was superb. Overall this was our forth visit to Turkey and the villa was superb but the only downside was the hills. Also there was no places where you could just grab a kebab and chips and eat quickly wich was rather unfortunate"

Owner reply: :
Just like to clarify the comment about the pool, it has got a shallow and deep end. However, like a lot of the villa pools in Turkey the shallow end is fairly deep, about 5 ft increasing to about 6ft6 at the deep end. The reason that they build pools like this is that in summer shallow pools can become uncomfortably warm, no use at all when you want to cool off on a hot day.

"Have just returned from our first visit to Turkey and had a fabulous time! Kalkan is a wonderful place, the people are so open and friendly and we were amazed by the generous hospitality we were shown. The villas are very comfortable and gave each of our families their own space, which is important on a shared holiday. I have to add that the shuttle bus service is a wonderful feature - invaluable in the very hot temperatures! The property is very well maintained with the pool being looked after incredibly well. It is a lovely pool - just right for cooling off! The air conditioning is another welcome feature and after a few days we had worked out how best to evade the pesky mozzies! We would love to come to the villas again and would receommend them to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in a lovely spot."

"We can only confirm the earlier reviews. The location is excellent, overlooking Kalkan with fantastic views over the bay. We spent two weeks in the villa with another family, very good friends but even so it was nice after a long day of trips out and general socialising to be able to go back to our own villa to relax and perhaps have a late night drink on the roof terrace (overall much nicer and cheaper than renting one really big villa). Furnishings are very nice all handmade, apparently by local craftsmen. Bathrooms are well equipped and the air conditioning is powerful. Finally, I should mention the pool terrace it’s a lovely area very large lots of sun loungers, umbrellas and with a big pool. "

"Quiet location with lovely views over the bay. Twin villa setup ideal for two families, with well-equipped kitchens, lovely bathroom/shower/washing facilities and A1 air-conditioning throughout. Simple, neutral decor is stylish, cool and clean. TV/DVD a godsend for the kids; pool large, deep and very inviting; terrace amply equipped with tables, chairs and comfortable sun loungers. Owners very helpful and amenable. Highly recommended."

"We liked everythıng about thıs villa. especıally the large pool and terrace. superb views and location (less than 10 mins walk ınto town. rather than the 15-20 stated on the website). Rentıng the two semi detached villas gave us more space and much better value for money than renting a sıngle large villa. Both us and our friends appreciated being able to lock our own door and have a nightcap on our own private roof terrace after a long day of socialisıng together. We will definitely be coming back to Kalkan next year and bookıng here again."
