| "We were told that there would be a playstation, board games and a dvd player in the property, but when we got there, there was no Playstation (just games) and the DVD player was not working. There was a deck of cards and plenty books to read. We were with young children, so evenings were difficult as there was nothing to entertain them. There were no UK satellite channels to watch after the first day, so we had to watch everything in Turkish. The washing machine had water in it and although the manual said to put powder in the middle compartment, this did not seem to work?
We could not make use of the pool due to the water being freezing (half of the pool was covered by shade) and although it was regularly cleaned, it was unswimmable in. No problems with the neighbours, comfortable place to stay, very cold in the mornings and evenings due to it being the last week in the season. The locals were warm and very friendly towards us and treated our children as if they were their own. The local town centre was a short walk away and we could purchase everything we needed from the local supermarket. Water in the showers was very cold in the morning, and did not heat up until after 2-3pm, due to it being solar powered. An enjoyable stay, some of the trees at front and back could have done with some pruning to let in more sunlight and bring warmth to the house."

| "I can understand why people have returned to "Villa Caretta" a second time. It really did live up to the description. Although next door to an apartment block, it is not overlooked due to some very carefull planting of trees.
One or two minor problems occured but were dealt with swiftly by the local agents.A microwave in the kitchen would be helpfull.
Looking forward to our next visit.

| "We were a party of seven, ages ranging betwwen 14 and 78! We cannot recommend this villa highly enough. We all had a wonderfull two week stay and will most definately be visiting Dalyan and the Villa Caretta again in the future.
We spent most of our time outside enjoying the beautiful garden and lovely pool. With the temperature in the 40s a dip in the pool was most welcome!
Before going out at night we would sit in the kosk at the front of the villa and play a game of cards while sipping a nice chilled glass of wine or a refreshing Efes. The walk in to the town centre was a very pleasant 10 minute stroll - Look out for Tommy Cooker - youll know what i mean if you stay at the villa!! There were a lot of holidaymakers at the apartments Iztuzu adjoining the property and the fun and laughter coming from the families quite frankly just added to the enjoyment and the holiday spirit.

| "Villa Caretta is a lovely family property which is convenienly located and within a 1o minute walking distance of the beautiful town of Dalyan. The villa is spacious and has a welcome home from home feel about it. We were very pleased with all of its facilities and really enjoyed the privilege of having exclusive use of the swimming pool. We would love to return but maybe when the weather is cooler!"

| "We have been to the villa before and it was great to be able to book again for this year. The villa has a unique character, that more modern ones are lacking, and the pool/garden setting and design add to its overall charm. Also, the villa and its facilities are good value for money when compared to others in the area. The location to the three shops for fresh bread etc is a definite bonus, though the walk to town isnt too far & taxis are quite cheap. We love Dalyan & the Villa Carretta and hope to return again next year."

| "Another fab stay at Villa Caretta, some improvements made since last time, and the garden has really matured. Again, no problems at all from the apartments next door, seemed empty. Agree a BBQ would be great, but we just bought disposables from the supermarket. Kaunos Agent were great, trouble free transfers. The villa comfortably accommdated 4 adults and 2 children, for us it is absolutely perfect and we cant wait to return."

| "Beautiful villa situated in a lovely location. Very residential area and locals are very friendly. Evrything you need is just a short walk (or boat ride) away. Dalyan is a wonderful place with plenty to see and do. We took my 15mnth old son and it was a perfect holiday for him.
Would definitely recommend villa and area and will definitly be returning."

| "The property was in need of a little renovation, the floor into the living area from the hallway seemed unsafe and perhaps a little rotten. The only other comment was regarding the cot that was provided for our grandaughter. The cot was not suitable and was unsafe. The mattress was outdated and the construction of the frame unsafe. One morning our grandaughter who is only 10 months managed to pull off several small parts which could have easily been placed in her mouth, she also managed to trap her head between the bars. This apart we had a fabulous holiday and would consider returning to the villa.

Let me know if you consider selling the villa )"

| "We stayed at this property in July 08. It seemed a little strange when we first walked in as the ground floor is a little dark and all the properties we have stayed in recently have been brand new. Anyway we soon settled in and by the second week my husband was saying that he could hapily live in the house.
The garden was great, it is overlooked, but nobody bothers you. A couple of people from the apartments said hello, but that was all. Most the people in the apartments appeared to be Turkish, so there was no noise in the evenings. It does look as though the owners of the house have done a great deal to screen the garden.
We werent able to pick up any English channels on the television, but did manage to get teletext to work. The water cooler had a broken tap, so we didnt use it, but Im sure that if we had approached the management agency about either of these problems, they would have sorted them out.
The bedrooms were light and airy, the front one is the coolest as it doesnt get the sun first thing in the morning.
The house is in a very rural part of Dalyan where villas and apartments havent yet replaced the locals and their small farm like properties, hopefully it will stay like this.
We would love to return to the house one day, as we really did enjoy our stay there.

"The garden and pool area were beautiful, secluded and well maintained.
The villa itself is in need of some upgrading and is rather tatty in places. It would benefit from a handrail as the stairs are difficult to negotiate.
Kuanos, the agents very slow in providing new garden chairs. 3 were broken on arrival, another snapped whilst my husband sat on it and it could have caused serious injury.
They eventually arrived 8 days later despite having been told that the existing chairs were dangerous and unusable. Their excuse was that they could not contact the owner. I would have thought that a contingency fund would have been in place?
Overall a pleasant holiday but the first time that we had had to change our own bedding and wash it before departure.
I would possibly recommend but would not use the villa again."
Owner reply:
:
Here is the email from the key holding local agents.
Hi Lucian, I am really suprised to read this from them. Sonuc (the guy in the office) told me they were very friendly and happy people it seemed. The chairs we told them were orded and not deliverd, wrong delivery I am afraid so re ordered. The cleaning before departure is even more suprising. Our staff from the office has been to the villa several times but they were never home, even the last day he went to mention them what time the cleaners would come and again nobody there. The girl went in and found the laundry machine working, so this was actually something they did on there own. Nobody ever asked them to do this.

| "Excellent property just 10 minute walk to town centre, some shops a lot nearer, nice pool plenty of shade. Only downside is that the pool is VERY overlooked by apartments next door (balcony overlooks the pool). Water cooler/heater is excellent bonus and managing agents are readily available and helpful. Dalayan is a lovely place you can be as lazy as you like, would definatly go back and would use this villa again."

| "A lovely property that is located nice and close to Dalyan Centre with 2 smaller shops no more than 3 minutes walk away. It has all the amenities one would need, ie dishwasher, washing machine, nice huge fridge and best of all, that Water Cooler!!!! All rooms were air conditioned which is nice as quite often only the lounge and main bedroom are airconditioned.
The one thing that my friends and I thought would be a nice addtion would be a BBQ.
I definitely would recommend this property and am hoping to book again for next year.

| "We enjoyed our stay very much. The pool area was great, especially the shaded seating which meant you could sit out all day. Though we do think the pool itself needed a better clean. The airconditioning worked very quickly & effectively and we were able to cool the bedrooms down without the need to run it for long periods. The water cooler was a nice asset. There are 3 small shops within a 5 minute walk for all basic needs (very handy) &, once climatized, it was only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the main shops & restaurants. We had not been to Dalyan before but we found the people friendly & helpful. The resort was a family place & not for the young party/drinking crowd. We hope to return to Dalyan & Villa Caretta next year."

| "We had an excellent week in the Villa Caretta.
Having a convenience store only 2 minutes away and the town centre only 5 minutes away was
fantastic.
The villa itself was perfect. The air-con and water machine were a god send and a fantastic perk of the villa!
The only very minor improvement would be for more television channels for evening entertainment as only BBC News & CNN were in English. Having BBC Prime and ITV would have been perfect.
We would definitely visit again!!!"

| "Lovely house in great area. We preferred this end of Dalyan, and the house really suited us. The walk into town is easy and we enjoyed our strolls in with our 2 young daughters. The pool was great, but do beware its slippery when wet! villa was clean and well equipped, great size fridge, good air con, loads of towels and sunbeds do have cushions on. Would agree that the cot is only suitable for very young baby. Lettuce, olives, rocket, parsley and tomatoes from next door were fantastic - great fun to request and unbelievably cheap! Kaunos Tours transfer was trouble free and service during the stay was very good. Dalyan has retained its Turkish charm and the villa reflects this. We hope to return again soon."

| "Would re-iterate Omer's comments. The purpose built stair-gate at the top the stairs was a particularly welcome surprise!
Fresh bread, milk and other staples are readily available from the shops up the road (2-mins walk). Dolmus to Iztuzu beach goes past the end of the road (though invariably it is full!).
The terrace at the back catches the sun all day, the 'donger' at the front is in the shad, and cool most of the day.
One criticism would be the pool; Since there is no drain around it, the terrace can get very wet and slippy: great fun with a toddler!
Other would readily recommend it and come back again."

| "We really enjoyed staying at Villa Caretta and would definately recommend to others. This place is well suited for small families with our needs with a toddler well catered for!
The villa is no more than 10mins walk from the town where so if you mainly intend on staying in and around Dalyan there is little need for a car. The managing agents there Kaunos Tours were extremely helpful and friendly and always ensured our stay was pleasant.
The kitchen had plenty of cutlery and crockery and pretty much had every you could need except for a microwave. The living room had a tv/dvd player with some english channels as well as some books to chose from. The bedrooms were fine and there is a toilet shower upstairs and downstairs.
The front garden has a small turkish style seating area which our toddler loved and the rear has a pool. The pool is ok, and though it was cleaned every one or two days the surface gets dirty quickly with dead insects and things as the surface water doesnt get drained away like some other pools.
Overall, the villa is clean and in good condition, has everything you will probably need and in a good location. We really had a fantastic stay here and would definately consider staying at this villa again."

| "We had a fantastic 2 week holiday in this villa in September. It was the most relaxing holiday we have had and all of us, including a first timer to Turkey, were very reluctant to leave. The villa was as described - turkish and with loads of character, brilliant. There were extras such as the water cooler, full air con and a lovely garden. The only way this holiday could be improved would be to have cushions or pads on the sunbeds, we would definitely not leave then!!
Dalyan itself is a piece of heaven and all of the people we met including the staff at Kaunos Tours (the managing agents) made the holiday even better."

| "July 2006
As there was only three adults we had plenty of room, in particular wardrobe space. May be a little crowded for 6 adults? and a stair gate is a must for toddlers (not fitted) but overall very good with an excellant pool, which was not too deep for my wife 5'3'', who is a non swimmer. The water cooler was unexpected, a blessing and well used. The neighbours at the Iztuzu apartments were very friendly and we purshased tomatoes and parsley from the other neighbour. All in all we had an excellent holiday and the villa didn't disappoint us."

| "We loved the location of this villa - it was only a short walk into town even with two toddlers and another one on the way, but very peaceful. Villa was clean and well appointed with generous accommodation. The apartment block mentioned in another review is actually small with only six apartments, and the owner was very friendly and approachable, inviting us round for coffee. We had no problems whatsoever with any noise and were actually more worried about our children and the noise they were making in their excitement enjoying the lovely pool. The villa is excellent value for money. If you are taking very young children just consider the fact that there are stairs and you may need to improvise a stair gate, plus the cot is suited more for a very young baby as an older one (ours was 13 months) could easily jump out. Would definitely recommend this if you fancy a quiet and peaceful holiday but with enough going on to keep you busy."

The villa was very comfortable and clean and all the mod cons like the dish washer and water cooler and air con, were great. The Turkish people were really friendly especiallly at the family run hotel apartments next door.

We have also planted a row of bushes and trees to screen the view."

| "The property was exceedingly well equipped and had everything we needed. It was also very clean. However, there were no instructions as to how to use the equipment i.e. television, washing machine, cooker, or what to do with the rubbish. The electricity went off completely and we had to find the fuse boxes ourselves and, although we eventually fixed the problem it would have been useful to have a set of instructions on running the house. Also, we were surprised to find that the swimming pool is overlooked on one side by the balconies of the Iztusu Holiday Apartments next door, who proved to be rather noisy from quite early morning until late evening. But, the house is very well insulated and we didn't hear any noise when we were inside. The air conditioning was a real blessing. On the other side of the house however the views were great. The house is situated in a nice spot on the outskirts of the town and we had no difficulty getting around. It was about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town.
Because of the proximity of the apartments next door I don't think I would have been happy to pay the full weekly August amount as shown but was quite happy to have paid the amount I did after the late booking discount."
