| "lovely decour. facilities more than adequate for couples or for families with older children. local area very quiet and tranquil. pool was a big hit for the family. bedrooms very comfortable. excellent shower. overall highly recommended.
only a few small things that have to be highlighted for the attention of the owners and subsequent visitors.
in hot conditions found the fridge/freezer a bit small. the property is on three levels so younger children need more attention esp if they are inquistive.
the pool levels dro ps slightly after a couple of days and needs re-filling. however in hot weather it does not make that much different to the temp. but in cooler climates it will be more noticeable.
The last thing i would recommend is a change of sofa bec the cushions keep slipping as you are sitting on it.
However overall i would def visit this property again. oh one last thing. parking generally is a couple of hundred yards away if you dont find the few spaces outside the church but again i did not find this that inconvenient, just a nice to know

| "We had a lovely time at the Villa, everything was great. The decoration and the facilities were outstanding. The pictures and the information were spot-on. We couldnt have asked for a more beautiful setting or villa to stay in, it ticked all our boxes.
There were only a couple of things that could be improved upon for the next renters. When we arrived the pool was not full and we needed to put the hose pipe in which meant very cold water for the first day of swimming. Also the fridge had not been switched on and we had arrived with food and drink which needed to be kept cold immediately and in 40C temperatures this was very difficult.
These things did not by any means affect our stay, we would love to return!

| "A really superb, quiet location and the swimming pool was a real bonus.
The property was in really good order except, perhaps, in the kitchen cupboards and worktop department -perhaps a slight upgrade needed there. However, this did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the two weeks."

Thank for a wonderful holiday at Casa Colmena - we couldn't have wished for a better location for an introduction to rural Spain. The house was super and equipped for every eventuality.
"the local walks across the campo opposite the house and on the GR7 were superb, the smell of the orange blossom and jasmine was unforgettable"
