" Overall the property was very good. The house was comfortable and very clean. The house was advertised as having central heating. However, after two days the heating did not work. We had elderly relatives with us , and it was uncomfortable for them. The house was also advertised as having a dishwasher. Technically it did have a dish washer, but it wasnt functional. There were no chairs for the deck and this was disappointing as it was a beautiful deck. Finally, something basic like a coffeemaker was missing. We like our coffee!"

Reply by owner - Central heating - the renters were shown how to use it but had it switched to constant off, hence no heating. Fuel had been left to light the stove. Dishwasher - renters had been told in advance that it needed to be nudged on, obviously there is a fault with it which was discovered just before their arrival and is being looked into. The deck area is as seen in photos - this can be a very windy area, hence the windfarm and everything just blows away, including clothes lines, the patio door is very large and the table and inside chairs can be and have been taken outside. A coffee maker is not provided and is not listed as being provided.

"We had a lovely stay! The cottage was very comfortable and the owners very welcoming. In fact, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for during our stay. The house and gardens were beautiful and well maintined. The house was very cozy and in good condition. We felt quite at home there. We loved the remote location, being just a short walk from the beach, and also found it to be a great central location for various day trips. We would definitely recommend this property and would return again in a heartbeat!"

"After 2 years and having been completely let down by my caretaker I have decided to put my home up for availability again. This time I will personnally be doing the changeover ensuring no problems like before - my caretaker had personal problems. On weekends where it will be impractical for me to do the changeover due to other committments I will not be making this house available for letting, sorry if this disappoints but it is the only way I can ensure that the house is prepared properly to my standards."

"On arrival we found the house to be quite big and modern but with a cosy feel set in pretty manicured landscaped gardens across a country road from a nature reserve and natural coastline. Im sad to say that there were a few things that let this beautiful house down - the bed linen and lack of pillow and mattress protectors plus We also found the crockery and cooking utensils to be soiled along with the dishwasher and oven also there is a huge decking area but no table or chairs just 2 wooden loungers. But once we had cleaned up etc we had a fantastic time we even spotted a whale just off the coastline. We found the Lobster Pot PH not to be child friendly (after 5pm) so we took our custom down to The Heights restaurant (by the pitch and putt/Golf) the food is superb and reasonably priced the staff are very friendly and helpful plus its child friendly at all times. The beaches at Carne and St Margarets are beautiful and Our Lady's Island is a lovely little village with friendly people. There were 6 of us and we paid around £700 stirling for 2 weeks which is very reasonable compaired to some holiday cottage prices so once we got past the initial clean up we had a fantastic time and found this to be quite a bargin holiday for such a beautiful house in such a beautiful setting. Unfortunately due to having been let down badly by my caretaker I have no option but to cease taking any further bookings for this property until I find someone reliable and trustworthy

The house is modern and clean. There is loads of room, it would easily accommodate two families. The area is gorgeous with great walks around Carnsore Point by the sea. One evening on the Point we saw an owl swoop by looking for his supper and a seal followed us along the coast. Magical! Very friendly and interesting neighbours too! Recommended.
