| "The appartment was is a good position within the Los Leandros complex, we were next to the swimming pool, within a 5-10 min walk to local beach, buses were regular and only 5-10 min walk to bus stop.
The complex the appartment sits in is lovely with a sea view and is very clean. The appartment I felt has been allowed to get a bit tatty and needs a paint and new patio furniture if nothing else, it really let it down. The caretaker was helpfull but not sure his standard of cleaning is up to my standard, he does the basics but things like knife and fork draw needed a good scrub the unility bit where the washer is needs a good sort out and clean, this is the only reason I would not recommend the appartment, with a bit of effort at the beginning of each season to spruce up the place and keep it generally maintained and cleaned to a high standard I thing it would be great because of its positioning and the actual Los leandros complex."

"We had a very good time there. However, in our arrival we were quite disappointed because there was some information in the ad which wasn´t 100% true, such as: there was no garage, TV wasn´t working (it was working in every other apartment, so it wasn´t a general problem, as the caretaker told me) and there was no tumble dryer.¡, as indicated in the ad.
These things are not really necessary but I chose this apartment according to the information given in the website. I really missed TV those eight days, specially my kids. We couldn´t see the olympics and we didn´t have any information about the tragic news occured in Madrid, Spain (plane´s accident), because we couldn´t waych any TV news.
Other important facts that must be sorted out are: the rent is for a party of 4 people and in the apartment we found very few plates, spoons, knives, etc. And only 2 coffee plates, for 4 persons!!!!!!!!! Only one rag in the kitchen, broken drawers in the cupboards... Bed linen wasn´t ironed, there was also linen crumpled on the floor of the cupboards,....I think this wasn´t a very good initial presentation.
I would find the price fair if I hadn´t had these inconvenients. I think we should have some kind of compensation for them. However, the site is beautiful and if these matters are mended, it would be a pleasure to return to the apartment next year."

Once again it is not nice to see dissapointed renters.
There is carparking underneath the apartment blocks for the community but unfortunately they came at a price of €8000 on top of the price of the apartment. Not many have bought the spaces and we are in dispute with the builders over this issue as most of the time the parking is empty. There is plenty of parking around the community which is safe as we as a community decided not to allow vehicles to remain parked outside the properties. You may park for short times to loa d and unload.
The cutlery, plates etc issue has been sorted and as i reside in New Zealand i cannot get there as often as i did in the UK and rely on my caretakers for information. If they dont tell me i cant do anything about it. I have stepped up security at the apartment with alarms and extra locks but the renters have to realise they are not in a hotel situation and have to be sure to keep things locked when going out and even while in bed.

"It was a nice area, close to the beach. The caretakers Malcom and Chris and the neighbours was very helpful and friendly.
The apartment was OK after cleaning the bathroom day 1. I think the apartment has to be groundly cleaned, then you will love it.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at my apartment and the bathroom issue has been dealt with. I myself would be unhappy to arrive and have to clean.
We will be looking into the cleaning issue and may look at new caretakers if the problem does not improve.

"When I arrived the property was not very clean.
Although all windows have bars, the front glass window has the lock broken. This made it easy for burglers to open it and "fish" my handbag out.It happened on my arrival night. I lost all my money and a number of personal possessions.

This can only happen if the shutters had not been used. The windows are not a full security device to keep the prying eyes away but the shutters that are installed will stop this kind of thing happening. They are thre for a reason and not for decoration or to keep the sunlight out.
Fishing rods are the most common source of thieving in Spain so please be vigilant and use security devices supplied in the apartment.
The last thing i want is for renters holidays to be wrecked but you have to help us stop this from happening and use the security provided.

I try and describe my property as best i can and the area is not too hilly but it is a gentle slope. The photos can provide the evidence of that and also it is down to the physicality of the personel and the renters on this occasion were in the 50s to 60s age bracket. My parents are in there 70s and had no trouble at all when they visited. They were walking everywhere and enjoyed there stay last summer.

"This property is well maintained and not lacking any home comforts. Its a few minutes from the beach, right next to a pool with no time restrictions so the kids were happy. There are amenities just up the road and the main town is only a 25 minute beach walk away, which is truly enjoyable. If you dont like to walk, you can catch a bus every 20 mins for 1 euro each from La Mata to Torrevieja, and if you want freindly, you've got it. There are some excellent markets. La Mata on a Wednesday and Torrevieja on a Friday, so the women were happy and so was I as there are so many friendly bars around. If you can get the booking, do it. A well spent 2 weeks for me and my family."

| "We have just returned from Los Leandros and had a fantastic holiday. The apartment is Spot on...but no Barbeque. The area was great for us (family with 2 youngish children 3 & 7) the people we met were all fantastic and the caretakers couldn't do more to be helpful and friendly. The Area is Hilly,not suitable for less mobile unless you use a car all the time, we seemed to go up a hill to get anywhere and still have to climb one to get home!!! The Bus to Torrevieja was an experience....we didn't repeat it as we hired a car in 2nd week. Well worth a visit for a totally chilled out holiday thanks!"

"Our family of 4 stayed at Los Leandros over the summer 06 and had a great time. The apartment was absolutely spottlessly clean and very comfortable with sky tv so i never missed the rugby league back in the UK. The communal pool was very nice and safe with security gates to stop kids and outsiders using the pool. This small complex has local bars, restaurants and supermarkets very close by and travelling by public transport was very easy even with young kids to the centre of Torrevieja. The beach was only a 2 minute stroll and is clean and safe for swimming with lifeguards on duty.
I fully recommend this apartment to anyone wanting home from home luxuries while on holiday as most places that we have stayed before have been very basic. We will be going again next year with out a dought."
