| "The villa is well situated for a quiet holiday break. It is good for young children as the property enclosed area, so having a toddler meant we could relax, but obviously strict supervision was required with a pool. If you rent this or most villas please take into account that wet feet and marble floors mean you have to be careful, this is unless you can skate like Torvil and Dean otherwise you are in for a sore landing. When we arrived, the garden area was in need of some attention and the property needs some maintenance. The property was generally clean and a fridge full of goodies was a lovely touch. You really need to hire a car, although there are shops in walking distance it can be punishing in the heat. However I have concerns about the management company (Bee Hives), although helpful with general needs there where some major failings and if it where not for kindly neighbours our holiday would have defiantly been spoilt! I look to the owners to sort this out, as I feel that this is the one factor that is letting this property down. Otherwise my rating of this villa would have been much higher."

| "the property was in need of some maintenance ie. broken shower rail in master bathroom, missing coving bedroom 3, broken outside chair & umbrella stand. There were 4 in my party, all ladies and having a bedroom each, unfortunately, there was only three beds prepared when we arrived very late. I had to do without sheets for two nights. We would have prefered to have been in a busier place, but on the whole it was very pleasant. The restaurants nearby were very good but not cheap, and the neighbours were very friendly & hospitable. We had a lovely few days."

| "A nicely decorated, modern & spacious villa, which was very comfortable for our stay. It's in a nice quiet area but not too secluded. The private pool was great and was cleaned regularly which was good. Really enjoyed our stay and had some great BBQs by the pool. Also ate at some lovely restaurants and there are a few within walking distance of the villa, two of which are Notting Hill and Le Jardin. There was some useful advice in the villa on places to visit around the area and the island. We loved Northern Cyprus and the villa so we'll definitely be back!

| "Villa OLaoire, Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus.
Modern, spacious, nice pool, nice decoration.
By the end of the week we had an A4 list of problems/observations to send to the owner. The most serious are listed here:
1) Floor outside patio door & back door very slippery & dangerous when wet. And it was nearly always wet due to the proximity of the pool. We slipped on numerous occasions.
2) Downstairs twin bedroom had no clothes storage at all. Occupants had to live out of their cases.
3) Some of the patio doors and windows were not locked on our arrival.
4) Various lights were not working.

"We experienced a loss of water twice and lots of power cuts. The management company were very slow to respond to our needs particuarly to the window which did not lock in our childs bedroom which they didn't think was important.
Overall a nice comfortable house but not luxurious in our opinion. Loved Northern Cyprus."

Sorry to hear of your power cuts and loss of water during your stay. The government can sometimes restrict the water during the hot summer months to manage the water supply and prevent water shortages. We have just arranged to install a second water tank in our villa to ensure there is sufficient water at all times.
Power cuts in Northern Cyprus are still an issue but it sounds like you got particularly unlucky during your stay. The good news is the TRNC government have announced that they are upgrading the entire electricity infrastructure so power cuts in Northern Cyprus should disappear in the near future, as early as 2008.
