"We have just returned from a glorious week spent at villa Moreana which exceeded all of our expectations. We receieved a warm welcome by Stephen and Ashley who obviously work very hard to maintain the property to the highest of standards and also gave us good advice on local attractions and amenaties nearby. The pool was well maintained and larger than expected and the veiws are amazing especially at night. There is a safari park 5 mins away and go karting for the kids entertainment nearby, A trip to the waterfalls (Took aprox 20 mins) is a must as the fresh water makes for a refreshing dip in the spanish heat there are also some fabulous beaches nearby. Local supermarkets provide a good selec tion and are about a 5 min drive from the villa but you really get a feel for Spanish life around the town as it is not commercialised at all. We would not have changed a thing about our hoilday and hope to return in the future.
Thankyou Steven and Ashley for everything."

"Pool is cleaned by next door neighbour and it shows, filtration unit was constantly in the red and black algae on bottom tiles of pool also debris on bottom.
Villa is also cleaned by next door neighbour and villa needs deep cleaning not just a brush and mop of tiles. Ceiling ventilators were caked in years of dust, photos sent to persons in charge of villa."
Owner reply:
:
The meter on the filter is always showing high purely due to the height of the pool above the equipment and if you look closely it is not on Zero when it is off.The pool therefore runs at a higher pressure hence the higher reading.
There is NOT algae on the bottom it is failed grouting that will have to be replaced this winter. The pool was checked twice whilst you were in residence and there was no debris on the bottom when cleaned again the Saturday after you left- no debrisand the pool was checked for safe bathing - all OK:
The villa is deep cleaned once a year and it takes most of the day to do it including the fans however as you have never lived in Spain you are totally unaware how quickly these places gather dust and with only 4 hours to changeover from one visitor to another there is a limit as to how much you can achieve. The villa has been in constant use since 2/05/09 with weekly changeovers which take 4 -5 to do dependent on the way that it is left, just to do the basics everyone else thinks that is OK.
updat e on fans - on change over (29/08/09) agreed that the fans need cleaning monthly and this has been added to the cleaners schedule - thank you for bringing it up.
you read the comments book in the villa and commented on the good reports - the villa was presented to you the same as it was to them are the majority wrong ? nearly all the other visitors disagree with you.

"Another superb family holiday at Casa Moreana, with a super location, pool & accommodation. Although it was our 2nd visit, we are still finding great places to visit using here as a peaceful haven to return to - a car is a must but well worth it. Yet again, Caretakers / neighbours Steve & Ashley were excellent hosts and constantly help to make the holiday even more special to match whatever we fancied doing. A perfect, practical & peaceful villa near Pego! Look forward to returning in the future."
Owner reply:
:
thanks Stuart - you were all over the place like a rash!! let us know when you are coming again and we will sort out a new itinery for your stay.( nice words in the visitors book too)

"Fantastic villa in a lovely location, which allowed us to explore the local areas. All the facilities at the villa were excellent, particularly the pool & the availability of inflatables etc for the children to use.
The villa & pool are maticulously kept by Stephen & Ashley (the caretakers) who live next door & who are both extremely friendly & informative which adds to make the holiday even better.
We will be returning and would recommend it wholeheartedly as a relaxing & enjoyable holiday for all the family."

"Driving directions to property were complicated.
House situated on a large housing estate on a mountain side. I would think that a vast majority of the houses are owned br ex-pats from around Europe. Many British, German & French.
House was clean and tidy.
Pool was not very clean. Water was cloudy with small amounts of algae growing in grout joints.
I dont think the pool would have been cleaned if I hadnt said something to the care-taker.
Pool is not as secluded as stated. House is on a mountain-side, so the neighbours above can see into the pool area.
Very small area for sun-bathing on sunbeds. The house is advertised as being able to sleep 8 people. There is no way that 8 people could sun-bathe on the patio unless they sat in chairs. My party consisted of 4 but there were only 3 useable sunbeds. Walking distance to Swiss restaurant but you definately need transport for all other amenities. Approximately 15 minutes drive to nearest beach."
Owner reply:

As much as we try we cannot please all the people but nearly all love my villa and its surroundings.

"Ben,
We would like to start by thanking you for the wonderful flowers and champagne that you left us. That was very kind and thoughtful of you.
The villa was absolutely beautiful, clean and conforting. The view from the terrace was gorgeous and the pool really came in handy on those really hot days.
We loved how we were so close to the beaches and shopping centres and there were so many restaurants to choose from. The Cafe Residential is a must to go to. The food there was incredible.
Wed also like to thank Stephen and Ashley for being so helpful and welcoming. They were great for giving us directions to the popular attractions.
Thanks again for making our honeymoon a fantastic one! We will definitely recommend your villa to our friends and family.

"This is a well kept, clean and organized villa.
We thought very highly of the services, and found the owner to be extremely friendly and helpful in every way.
It was our first excursion to that part of Europe, and found the owner's directions and suggestions to be of great assistance.
Our only regrets were to do with the weather. It didn't cooperate while we were there, but of course that didn't reflect upon the owner.
I would reccommend this property to anyone, as it is tastefully decorated, clean, and well furnished.
As well it is favourably situated, away from hustle and bustle."
Owner reply:
:
Brian & Rose,
We try harder, that is why you thought highly of the services- Mary and I love the area, and the house, it took us three years to find it. Every time you go it gets better. To be of assistance is just part of our deep need to see you the client satisfied.
You were very unlucky with the weather apparently the worst for decades- as you rightly point out we can do a lot BUT.
We would welcome you back anytime.

"We thought the villa was lovely but some pictures would be cheery. Bathrooms ok but no shelves or hooks, shower heads need attention. Comfy bed, lovely settees, efficient kitchen (garlic press please) and wonderful balcony/verandah giving uninterrupted view of the surrounding hills. (Pool to cold to venture in in Feb!!)
We loved the area and appreciated the help of Steven and Ashley next door. The weather was unbelievable and there were plenty of places to explore both close at hand and further afield.
It was useful having a very good restuarant within walking distance and a wide choice of local places a short drive away. We would definately return, we had a great holiday."
Owner reply:
:
Brenda, There is a saying in Ireland "the door is always on the latch" or ás Gailge "Céad Mile Failte" meaning you are welcome anytime.
I have taken on board ALL your constructive comments and improvements upgrades to these small matters have ALREADY been effected. A Garlic press has been purchased, and will be there for your next visit.
Along with the above improvements a new windbreak goes in this week making the villa ABSOLUTLY PRIVATE- for those who need absolute privacy around the pool.
Thank you for your constructive comments and hopefully we will see you and your husband in Monte Pego soon.
Oh a new video has been ordered as I understand you believe the original does not do the villa justice. I hope you like Ashley's taste in pictures.
Hope to see you soon again.

"As a family we found this villa to offer everything you need to cater for all. The air conditioning whilst not essential is an excellent comodity for those humid nights, not all villas have a/c. The location of the villa is perfect for a relaxing break, however close enough to amenities if needed. A car is necessary for a holiday here.
We would definately recommend this villa to families."
Owner reply:
:
Thank you for your kind words. In a competitive environment, your views and comments are appreciated. We try to make Casa Moreana a home from home.
It is not by accident that we have everything - we try harder.
