"Appartement très propre et très bien équipé. les propriétaires sont très gentils et très serviables. Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Chypre et nous recommandons fortement ce logement."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. A real home from home and incredibly well equipped kitchen! Mr and Mrs Roux made us feel welcome and it was great having them next door as instant tourist guides. All in all a brilliant holiday - thank you to the Rouxs for making us feel so at home."

"This is by far the best holiday accommodation I have stayed in. Everything you could possibly need is at hand. The Villa is spotlessly clean and the owners and friendly and approachable. I will definately be re-booking at some point in the future."

"This was a wedding gift to Danius and Renata from friends.(they have asked me to do this review for them as their English wasnt yet that great.) They were very nervous about going to Cyprus for the first time, although they have travelled in Europe, but not sure what they would find. They couldnt believe the quality of the accomodation. Anything they needed was there. The villa is beautifully decorated and carefully finished /stocked to 5 star standard. Books , DVDs are wonderful for chill out eves at home. The owner of the villa was friendly, helpful and a non stop source of information and help, about Paphos and the island.Renata and Danius thought she was better than any travel agent. There honeymoon was all and more than they had hoped for. Thankyou Annelie and Edwin for the wonderful holiday."

"The villa had everything you could possibly need and very high standard of cleanliness.Resturants and bars a good half hour walk so would recommend a hired car as we did as it also lets you see more of this beautiful island.Owners of the villa were always about as they live next door if there are any problems not that we had many. The water cooler was a great feature cold water on tap everytime and also recommend you book the air conditioning going at this time of year you will definately need it .Had a great holiday."

Review submitted by Edward from Milan, Italy (Submitted: 28/07/2008)
"The property was well fitted out, and is just as it appears in the photos on the website (although the TV antenna didnt seem to work properly, not that we would have spent much time watching Cypriot TV mind you, and there was no radio-CD player, which would have been a plus in order to be able to listen to BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service) Radio. Overall though we had all the comforts we needed to make our stay a relaxing one. The balconies were great for sitting out on to eat and have a relaxing drink, especially on the upper floor, which is above the roofline of the surrounding houses and so gave a good feeling of space and privacy. Generally speaking, although the house is on a relatively dense development, there didnt seem to be lots of people around, so it certainly never felt crowded. The pool is small (as shown on the photo) and a little hemmed in by other properties, but on the plus side both times we used it we had it totally to ourselves, and it was a nice amenity to have (though we spent much more of our time on various beaches). The owners were close by and were extremely friendly and helpful in resolving any minor difficulties which arose. Certainly a nice place to stay that I would recommend to anybody."

"We had a GREAT time here, played lots of scrabble and generally relaxed beyond our expectations. Many thanks - next time longer!"

"we had a wonderfull time overall, everyone was so kind and nice. the villa itself is perfectly positioned so you're out of the hustle and bustle of Paphos, but close enough to walk easily. it was truly brilliant, we can't thank the owners enough."

Review submitted by Vincent from Rhyl (Submitted: 09/03/2008)
"Arrived in evening, tired, to be greeted by the owners of the villa - extremely nice and helpful people. As the web page on Villa Calista states - everything you are likely to need (and much more!) is provided - even our first day's breakfast basics - can't ask for better hosts. They were also very helpful in advising of good eating areas within walking distance and nearest supermarket etc. Many thanks!!!"

"A very well equiped villa. pleasantly furnished and very comfortable. The owner was most helpful and provided extra heating and even an electric blanket as the weather was cold while we were in Cyprus. The was food in the fridge for our first day, bread, milk etc and everything was spotlessly clean. It is a 25 minute walk to the beach and the harbour but we had a car and found it was fine for getting on to the motorway. The only downside was that there was a lot of road work going on in the next street which will hopefully be finished by the summer and some evenings we could hear a dog barking. We enjoyed our stay and went back for another two weeks when our second holiday home didn't work out. Thanks so much Annelie, you were great."

"Neat, comfortable town house style property. Well-equipped for self-catering & met all needs for a family holiday. Easy to contact owner during our stay who was very helpful. Pool small but adequate for splashing about. Located within a residential area where lots of new developments are being built. About 20 minutes walk to town centre. Close to main roads out of Paphos."

"Our 1st time in Cyprus. Lovely place. Loved the idea of the water cooler - a real hit with the 4 kids. Annelie called to replace the water - a lovely thought."

Review submitted by Gareth from Walsall (Submitted: 18/08/2007)
"The villa is modern, very well equipped and comfortable. The owner is friendly, helpful and easy to contact if needed. It is in the middle of a large residential area so there are no spectacular views but it is quiet and within easy reach of the town with its many bars and retaurants. The swimming pool is rather small for the number of properties that share it but during our stay it was never overcrowded. I would recommend this villa if you want to stay near to the town centre but far enough away to have peace and quiet. There are many things to do in the immediate area and we had a wonderful time, if we ever go back to Cyprus we would certainly consider staying there again."

"really enjoyed our stay at the villa! the owners made us feel really welcome and it was much appreciated. definately would come and stay again..it exceeded our expectations the villa was beautiful and loved the surrounding atmosphere."

Review submitted by Tom from Southampton (Submitted: 28/07/2007)
"The villa was lovely and certainly catered for all our needs and more, the bbq and DVD player were nice additions that meant we could have just as much fun in. Found that it was easier to get a taxi into the Harbour instead of walking since it's not the most scenic route and considering hot weather it's well worth 5 CYP when split 4 ways. The pool wasn't massive but was enough to cool down in but the surrounding area for sunbathing was getting quite busy towards end of our stay however the others people in the complex were all very friendly. We slipped up on the air conditioning front and thought since it was listed as a feature we didn't need to pay extra for it. Otherwise well worth visiting, think the owners have thought of everything."

"C'est un appartement duplex récent, très lumineux et propre. C'est confortable. L'endroit est calme. Mais il vaut mieux avoir une voiture pour se déplacer. Il y a des coins sympas dans cette partie de l'ile. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances dans cette location. "

"We had a great time at Villa Calista and everything was exactly as it was described on the site. The walk into town is a pleasant 20 min stroll, so dont let that put you off, although we usually got a taxi back at a cost of about £5 (CYP). If you are thinking of going to Paphos, I would definately recommend the villa as you know exactly what to expect when you get there. The house is spotless and has everything you could need for a nice relaxing holiday. Enjoy!!"

"Spacious, well stocked, clean and quiet villa. Would definately book again. Advise anyone booking to consider renting a car, otherwise you will spend a lot of time walking, nothing wrong with walking but a car gives you the freedom to explore new eating places, sightseeing etc... One small gripe, in December the bathroom is a tad cold, could do with a heated rail or something similar, otherwise no probs!"

Owner reply: :
Thanks for the feedback. I'll be visiting Villa Calista next week to make improvements and make sure that everything is ship shape for the new year. I'll add a heated towel rail to the shopping list. Thanks for being great renters. We appreciate it when renters treat our property with respect and leave everything in good order. Best regards, Annelie.

Footnote: On visiting the villa we decided to install a bathroom heater instead.

Review submitted by David from Villa Calista, Cyprus (Submitted: 18/11/2006)
"As with a lot of Villa Calista guests we have never used the internet to book accommodation before. We found the process very simple and easy to use. The Villa description was exactly what we found, and more. You really do only need your holiday clothes as everything else is provided for. Have a read through the books that are left for you to view as it will give you an insight as to where to go, where to eat etc. Having been 3 times to Pafos we were still finding places to visit and to dine that were new to us as a family. You will need a car, though it is a very pleasant walk to the harbour / old town it would get a little tiresome having to do it every day. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing time Cyprus is the country and Villa Calista is the property to meet your expaxtations - to whoever visits here in the future have a great time. "This was our first stay in Cyprus and we were extremely pleased with the villa. The villa was immaculate with tasteful new decor which made it feel more like renting a friend's apartment than the usual spartan holiday apartments. The apartment is split over 3 floors with patio windows which makes all the rooms light and spacious. The bathroom is new, clean and the shower works brilliantly. The kitchen was ideal for preparing anything from full meals to light snacks with a dining area either indoors or on both balconies. The owners have thought of every detail and I would recommend that (unlike us) you don't worry about bringing any of the following - Hairdryers (one in each room) - iron or ironing board - extra towels (there are plenty including beach towels for swimming) - crockery, cutlery or plates (there were plenty of matching clean sets there. There is also DVD player which was perfect for the odd night in. The neighbours opposite were extremely helpful and friendly as was apartment manager so we had no problem finding anything we wanted. I would recommend that you do hire a car however as although it is possible to walk to the harbour area it takes around 25 minutes which can be a bit boring after a couple of times. In addition there are so many other places you'll want to go that it's worth while. The area that the villa is in is slowly being developed so there are some more rugged areas but is overall very friendly and quiet so great for a relaxing holiday, if not completely beautified just yet. "

"A delightful Villa with everything you didn't even know you would need on your Holiday. Don't waste space on all those extras like beach towels, hair dryers, dvd's, cd's etc. Just throw in your clothes and go! Excellent value for money and very centrally situated - will definitely recommend to friends."

"Thank you for your E-mail, we really had a lovely holiday, which was mainly due to staying in your lovely villa. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, we were amazed at the attention to detail you had given. We had everything we required and more beside. This was the first holiday we had arranged ourselves via the internet, so we were slightly apprehensive, but everything ran so smoothly it was fantastic. Thank you once again for your hospitality and helping make our holiday so special. Kevin, UK"

"The Villa was lovely furnished to a very high standard with all mod cons. We took a lot of items that we did not require as they had been provided, ie, a selection of DVD's for the DVD player and CD's for the HiFi, a picnic cool box and freezer packs, hairdyers in both bedrooms etc the list is endless. The villa is approx 15 mins from Paphos airport, we picked a hire car up at the airport and had no problems driving to the villa as the directions supplied were very straightforward. We were glad we had a car for the whole holiday as the best beach is at Coral Bay which is a 15 min car ride away but well worth it, we also visited a lot of the attractions that Paphos offers and would not have been able to do this without a car. We would definately return to Villa Cailista and will recommend it to our friends."

"This brand new property was excellently and tastefully furnished with great attention to detail and very well equipped. The villa was 15 minutes walk from the tourist area which made it easily accessible yet far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. We walked most of the time but did rent a car to go a little further afield to the beautiful Coral Bay, and to the bustling city of Limassol. "

Review submitted by Karen from South Africa (Submitted: 08/03/2006)
"A lovely villa. Very attractively furnished. Close enough to the tourist area to be accessible but it's nice to go 'home' and get away from it all when you want to. You can walk to the shops and restaurants but here's so much to see on the island the we really recommend renting a car - can be done very reasonably online. Will definitely recommend to friends."
