"When we arrived, the house was not clean. The person cleaning the house had to leave and did not tell anyone. Someone else had to come in @ 8:30PM to finish the house. Everything seemed "dirty". The carpets are stained. There is dust all over the ceiling fans and other things (window treatments and house decorations). There were no light bulbs in one of the bedrooms and most of them were burned out in the master bedroom as well as the lamps themselves did not work (pull chains broken). The pool was dirty and needed maintenance. There was 1/2 a roll or less of TP in each bathroom with no spare rolls. There are a lot of rental houses available in the area. They need to do a better job maintaining the property."

Most of the above problems were caused by the cleaner signing off on a job when it was not finished but it should have been checked by our management company, so no excuses. As far as broken lamp chains etc we have to rely on guests telling our management company because these are not things that are checked with a standard clean. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused but it is difficult to know everything that is happening when we are 4000 miles away. We are travelling over shortly to sort out matters with our management company and to do a thorough spring clean.

We are in Florida now and can honestly say that the above comments are mostly unfounded. There were no lamp pull chains broken, just jammed and if they had been reported would have been fixed in less than five minutes which I did myself. Yes there were some small stains on the carpets but they are a very light colour carpet and difficult to keep perfect all of the time.
Some people just like to complain, simple as that!!

"We really enjoyed our stay. The villa was more than comfortable and in a great spot with easy access, not only to the Parks, but all the major roads, making exploring the greater Orlando area very simple. The rooms were spacious and clean, easily swallowing our party of 6. Our two boys enjoyed the pool table and basketball toys so much, they didn't even notice the Playstation! Although we didn't get to explore the Lake Berkley shared areas, the gated community does give you that extra feeling of security. The proximity to a huge WalMart and local restaraunts make this an ideal base for a family holiday."
