"Dear Avraam and Lena, It was great to meet you and stay in your nice place. You are a lovely couple and we love Zorro. Cyprus was very welcoming for us and we had a great time! If you ever visit Poland please be welcome to stay in our place. Kisses from three of us!!! "

"We had a wonderful stay at Abrahams house. It was so quite and relaxing, just what we needed. The hosts Abraham and Helena, were lovely, so friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. If you need a place to get away from it all, Abrahams is the escape."

"Abrahams is a special place to spend your holiday. It’s a stone build house with the pool in the middle of a huge fruit garden that makes the difference. Tochni with a few traditional restaurants and a shop is peaceful tourist village with the feel for the real Cyprus. We recommend this house for those who like to relax or travel to see the island. Ideal for families with children due to big outdoor space and far from overcrowded tourist resorts. Over all excellent and we shall return next year with the kids."

"I’ve stayed at ‘‘Abraham’s house’’ 4 times now which in it’s self a testament to how welcome you are from Avraam and Lena. Situated on an elevated position in the small ancient village, always a nice cool breeze around midday to 4 pm and if not the pool it will give you a nice break from the sunshine. Avraam immediately becomes your friend and has unlimited knowledge of ‘‘Cyprus’’ and of course ‘‘Tochni’’. The accommodation and grounds are fantastic and very rustic. A short stroll down the hill is the ‘‘Nostos Tavern’’ and the local ‘‘Corner shop’’ whose owners Irene and Christos soon become your friends. Avraam is a keen fisherman and on two occasions now has made an amazing lunch for us on the fish he had just caught. ‘‘Abraham’s house’’ is ideally located for travelling around Cyprus or you can just ‘‘chill out’’ around the pool and feel comfortably at home. "

"High standard accommodation lovely pool area and nice garden, very good location, peaceful and quiet, excellent traditional Cypriot taverns within short distance. We especially liked fruits picking from the garden and sunbathing under the fruit trees! Drinking wine on the top terrace in the evenings was wonderful. A lovely Beach is a five minutes drive away and far from overcrowded known tourist resorts. Very good accommodation, great value Hhighly recommended "

"It was our second time in this wonderful property and we were pleased to see some positive improvements! Bigger fridge, nice new furniture and Abraham’s hospitality at the top! Arriving somewhere that feels like home is really wonderful! The apartment is comfortable and there is everything you could wish for, the gardens are beautiful covered by green grass and in the middle the pool, private and peaceful surrounded by fruit trees. Tochni where the villa is it is a beautiful village with a few friendly Cypriot taverns that stay open until the last person leaves and we have enjoyed every moment spending the evenings eating “meze” and drinking local wine! For a change… “Governor’s beach” A lovely idyllic beach is just 10 kilometres away! Abraham, thanks for the nice sea food party you have invited us and definitely see you next year! "

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom apt for 2 weeks in Oct and had a marvellous holiday. The apt is comfortable and the location absolutely superb with the swimming pool set in a lovely garden. Abraham and his wife were extremely hospitable. They met us just off the motorway to show us the way to the apt as it was very late at night. From then on they made us feel completely at home. We feel we have made new friends! Also their 2 dogs, Zorro and Dolly, are delightful and well behaved. Tochni is an unspoilt village with a good shop and taverna within walking distance. There are many other tavernas and shops only a few minutes away by car. We will definitely return.hopefully many times!"

"Highlights - sunshine, accommodation including lovely pool area, village location, peace & quiet, excellent taverna within walking distance near the church (Nostos)in the village , fresh grapes & figs from Abraham's garden, sunbathing amongst fruit trees, smell of jasmine each evening, views from the top terrace, watching a chameleon creep across the courtyard, Governor's Beach, driving through the mountains, visiting the lace shops in Nicosia, Fasouri Waterpark near Limassol, local shop in the village where the owner gives you a cool cup of lemonade to refresh you for the walk back up the hill. August is very very hot - there is no aircon unit in the living area of the 1bed appt but there is a fan. Make sure you leave plenty of time to get through traffic that builds up at Larnaca airport if travelling back on a Sat or Sun. Accommodation was very good - aircon was a blessing in the bedroom area! 2 adults, 1 x 6yr & 1 x 1yr old slept comfortably in 1 bedroom with 3 beds & a cot. Loads of wardrobe space. Bathroom basic but did the job, ditto kitchen area. Seating area big enough. Washing machine on site was also really useful. Host - Abraham is very friendly, helpful & welcoming without being over the top, spot on. We really enjoyed our stay - it was a lovely location away from the noise of the usual resorts but close enough by car to visit if we wanted to."

"Very nice property! We liked the fruit garden very much. It was season for figs apples and apricots and the owner was kind to giving us fresh fruits many times. Governor's beach is 5 minutes drive and it's an excellent beach. We have enjoyed our stay in abrahams house very much. Much more than we expected! We will suggest it to our friends"

"My wife and I rented the one-bedroom apartment for a week and we had a really good holiday. The accommodation is ample for 2, but might be a bit of a squeeze for 4 (although there is another, larger, apartment on site). The setting is beautiful and peaceful, the village has 2 decent restaurants and a shop with a very friendly proprietor, and there's plenty to see in the area. We went for Easter and the weather was mostly lovely, but if you want to use the pool, go a little later in the year! Avraam is a charming and generous host and couldn't have been more accomodating - he even invited us to share a sumptuous Easter Sunday dinner with him and his friends and family, which was delicious! Overall, a great holiday, great value, highly recommended."

Review submitted by Elna from Abraham's One Bedroom Stone Cottage - Tochni (Submitted: 11/11/2006)
"We spent a great week at the beginning of November in Avraam's one bedroom stone cottage. We were the only guests at the time which suited us very well. We had peace and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. Because the weather was rather chilly we did not unfortunately make use of the pool and lovely garden which was excellently maintained but we sat on the balcony when the sun shone and took in the breathtaking scenery. We decided to be without a car and hired mountain bikes from the village and cycled every day locally and to Governor's beach. The two restaurants open at the time in the village were super and all the locals very friendly. We were made exceedingly welcome at the small village supermarket and one evening the owner insisted on closing his shop for a few minutes to take us back to the cottage in his car as it was raining so heavily. Avraam was the perfect host and kindly came out to meet our taxi to guide us to the cottage on our arrival. The accomodation was very spacious with everything there that one would need including plenty of cupboard space and the efficient heater provided soon warmed up the place on the chillier evenings. To sum up, it is the perfect location should one want to spend time in a quiet, small village and the surrounding areas but also be very close to all the sight seeing/places of interest too if hiring a car. "

"We had a fantastic time at Abrahams apartments. The setting was perfect with the village situated outside the main cities. The wonderful scent of the Jasmine surrounding the entrance was a lovely welcome, each time we went through the front door. Our host, Abraham, was extremely hospitable and could not do enough to ensure we had a wonderful time. I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful place to anyone who wishes to have a relaxing and enjoyable time."

"We very much enjoyed out stay and the property was great. Very relaxing and peaceful and the village and locals were charming. Abraham was extremely helpful and he kindly offered to meet us part way from the airport to the acommodation (in our hire car) to ensure we found the property, as it was then dark."

"We had two outstanding weeks in Cyprus. Abraham`s House fulfilled our expectations in all ways. The location in the unspoiled village of Tochni is perfect for those, who like to make day-trips to the archeological sites of Pafos, Amathous or Kourion and to the cities of Nikosia, Limassol and Larnaca. The Motorway is just a few kilometers away, and so you reach nearly everything within max. 1 hour. Abraham`s House has a beautiful garden and pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, so the lazy ones can relax perfectly. The owner looks after his property, is very friendly and helps in every case. We absolutely recommend this accomodation for self-caterers, who either like to see a lot of Cyprus or just like to relax. A very nice location for families, too. We are looking forward to come again! Lars & Constanze Pappert, Unterschleissheim, Germany "

"Booking a villa over the internet is a bit scary, especially when you are booking for a group - and are taking two babies and a young child - but the reviews for abrahams house reassured me and when we arrived, well, it was just perfect!! The accomodation is cool and restful, there is a fabulous pool and garden and the village is utterly unspoilt and ideally situated. Abraham is a perfect host, you can not help but have a wonderful stay, nothing is too much trouble. If you want to visit Cyprus, book this villa! We certainly hope to return!"

"Abrahams House has once again provided us with wonderful memories of Cyprus. We returned for the third time within 14 months.Abraham as usual was very helpful and friendly, he even took us out on his boat along the Cyprus coast where we enjoyed swimming in crystal clear waters. We stayed in the one bed apartment with our son who is now 21 months old, my parents stayed in Tonias apartments at Governors Beach, which made for an all round ideal package. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday away from the tourists, then make sure you book here.It will be the best hoilday you ever have."

"Abraham, the owner, was extremely helpful and obliging without being intrusive at all. I had a problem with a car that I hired privately and Abraham gave me valuable advice and arranged a car to be delivered within an hour and at a very good price. The accomodation is very good and air con in the bedroom worked fine. Wonderful views and an excellent, clean swimmimg pool. He has two wonderful dogs who were very very friendly. We were the only ones staying at the house and found it to be very peaceful. There was one problem when a local family living near by asked if their children could use the pool. They were extremely noisy and I dreaded them being able to use it daily. I had a word with Abraham and it was all sorted out. The village is very peaceful and charming. Exactly what I imagined a typical Cypriot village to be. The Tavernas in the Village were excellent as well. The highlight of the morning was a very short stroll down to the local supermarket owned by a very charming gentleman named Christis. Fresh bread and milk and many many other provisions were available. He always offered us either coffee or a cold drink!! Probably the most important factor about Tochni and Abrahams House is its location. Everywhere is easily accessible. 10 minute drive to Governors Beach. 3 mins to the main highway where one can very easily get to Larnaca in 30mins, Limasol in 25 mins and Nicosia in 35 mins. Pafos was about and hour away and about the same to Ayia Napa. A day trip to Kyrenia or Famagusta is easy to do. All in all I would recommend a stay at Abrahams House."

"Excellent holiday, excellent value for money, beautiful place with friendly people. The house was spectacular and the pool was gorgeous day and night. Avraam was very friendly and made you feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family as it was a paradise. My grandchildren loved Avraams two dogs Zorro and Dolly which were very friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I had to come home. Use that mouse and book this house!!!"

"Avram's(Abraham's) House in Tochni is a very peaceful and restful place to stay. The clean swimming pool is surrounded by grass and shaded by fruit trees. The house is only five minutes walk from the village shop and 3 taverns (all serving food). Tochni is about ten minutes drive from the sea and good beaches. The house is situated on high ground above the hight that mosquitoes fly, so you won't be bitten when your asleep, which always improves a holliday. Avram is a very welcoming host and we hope to be back soon."

"I have to admit that I was a little nervous to book a villa over the internet. I was even more anxious because I was booking for our whole group. From my first e-mail contact's Avraam's flexibility & professionalism put me at ease. When we arrived I was imediatelv impressed with the facilities & the setting as well as by the warmth which with we were received. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that I even considered looking at property while we were there. It was a beautiful villa in an enchanting little village. I would highly reccomend these properties for anyone looking for a private & restful vacation in Cyprus. Our group rented all 3 apartments at Avraam's house as well as the Themis House just down the road. "

"There can be nothing more delightful than arriving somewhere that feels like home but so much better. Avraam Zenonos provides wonderful hospitality for his guests in beautiful surroundings. I have travelled often around the Mediterranean and stayed in many places and have never felt more comfortable than staying in Abraham’s House in Tochni. The apartments are comfortable and have everything you could wish for, the gardens are beautifully looked after with a clean attractive swimming pool for guests, and to cap it all the price is astonishingly reasonable. Avraam is helpful, charming but discreet so you can be private or enjoy his conversation and local knowledge. I cannot imagine finding anywhere pleasanter for a holiday visit, the only sad thing was having to leave too soon, this is the sort of place it would be nice to stay for many many weeks and feel entirely at home, but also spoilt!
If you worry about Tochni being away from the sea, don’t. It is a beautiful village with the usual friendly Cypriot people, a good shop, restaurants, and only 10 minutes from a lovely beach. Enjoy it, you may never find anywhere better.

"Avrams house is an wonderful property, set in an idyllic place just out from the centre of a small sleepy village.Pace of life is very slow, but there are a couple of small friendly tavernas that stay open until the last person leaves. The paths down to the village are quite steep so not rec for disabled travellers, although we went went with an 8mth old in a buggy and had no problem. The pool is lovely and surrounded by fruit trees, very private and peaceful. The owner lives on the premises and his motto is "treat the place as your own.The apartments are very traditional Cypriot, but do have air con, fridge, cooker micro etc....Avram even bought us a brand new high chair and cot for our stay.Overall probably the best holiday we have ever had and will definately be returning later this year and next year as a group of 8.Wonderful."
