"Superb views. Easy to get around Poland using public transport. Met at airport and taken on an initial food shopping trip, making the start to our holiday very smooth. Property and gardens extensive and comfortably furnished. Plenty of room for the children to run and play. Thank you"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Cherry Tree Farm. The house, garden and location were excellent, the renters very friendly. Krakow is in easy reach and the surrounings are very good for long walks. Possible, small points of improvement: we stayed at the the house with 3 people and only used the ground floor beds, however, if you use the upper floor beds, curtains for the windows should be neccessary. Also we missed soup spoons and a bit more small glasses could be added to the inventory."

Owner reply: :
We will add some soup spoons and small glasses immediately.

The windows upstairs are more of a problem as they are at an angle, but we will investigate fitting blinds over the next few weeks

"The house itself is very attractive in lovely grounds and has everything you need for a holiday and more in particular the bathrooms are of hotel quality. it was very well maintained and clean. However, it is completely open plan, with a staircase without a bannister up to the first floor. This bedroom has no door and had skylights without blinds, so was very bright from early morning when the sun rose. The house has lovely wooden floors, but we found they made it very noisy and it was difficult to move around at night or first thing in the morning without disturbing anyone sleeping. The village itself has a small shop within walking distance, but you have to drive to any restaurants, and we didnt find many in the local vicinity. The owners give you very comprehensive and helpful directions to various tourist attractions, but everything is at a good distance from the house and we spent a lot of time in the car, particularly as there are a lot of roadworks currently going on in the area (which would obviously have affected us regardless of where we were staying). So, we would recommend the house to anyone who likes walking or cycling, or who doesnt mind driving, but as a base from which to tour the area around Krakow, we didnt find it as convenient as wed hoped it would be."

Owner reply: :
We are somewhat surprised by the 2* rating given to our property by Richard and his family and this seems to be more of a reflection of the extensive road works around Krakow during the summer of 2008. This is by far our lowest rating in 3 years of renting the house and we are sorry that Richard and his family have had less than an ideal time.
Although there are two or three restaurants a short drive from the house we find that most guests tend to prefer to drive to Krakow where there are hundreds of good value restaurants. The house is located 16km from Krakow, and even given the current road conditions this journey should take no longer than 20 to 25 minutes. The road works around Krakow airport have now been completed (Jan 2009)
The downstairs area of the house has three bedrooms (all with doors), but the upstairs is an open plan double bedroom with a separate enclosed en-suite bathroom. The skylights deliberately do not have blinds as this would distract from the character of the upstairs area. The staircase is short, but we have now added that it has no bannisters to the general description part of our advertisement and have emphasised that the house has wooden floors throughout.

"We were all very pleasantly suprised when we arrived. Great bathrooms, lovely setting, great for kids of all ages. ours ranged from 5 -16. Two weeks is needed to see everything tho. sadly we could only stay for one!!!!!! So we will have to come back. Kitchen could have been better equiped(we had to buy a can-opener and cork screw) and garden games would be good great.ie Badminton. Despite a few minor critisisms we had a fabulous time, the house is clean and comfortable and the garden huge with raspberries that were abundant and delicious. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and Krakow is a fabulous city. We look forward to coming back. "

Owner reply: :
Sorry about the can opener and cork screw and we will try and ensure these are in the kitchen drawer in future. We added an indoor football table this year and will supply some garden games for the next summer season.

"Am delighted to have stayed in Cherry Tree Farm and would love to return one day to the hectare of garden and woods, with lovely wild flowers and walks extending as far as one wanted. Limestone scenery and caves, and breathtaking sunsets from nearby. The house was very flexible for 8-9 peaple coming for a wedding, and good for the young children, who caught chicken pox and had to stay on longer. Fotunately the house was available for a further 12 days. Grateful for maps of the region, through which we found the local shops, and places of interest, and that the owner met us at the airport on arrival. The house is not easy to find in the dark and when new to the country. Some electrical faults occured, but through emails to London, a neighbour soon organised the appropriate repairs. Internet connection was essential, and reliable. And it proved necessary to be able to email the owners to clarify points before booking. In general, people were very friendly and helpful. I just wish I could speak Polish!"

"The property is the perfect base from which to explore Krakow and its surroundings (a car is however essential). The house is situated in a quiet village, surrounded by hills and with its fabulous garden is the ideal place to relax after a day out. The house is very well kept by the owners who gave us a very warm welcome and all the informations we needed. Lots to do and see, from sightseeing to trekking in the Tatra Mountains. I would highly recommend the property to anybody wishing to have not just a holiday but a travelling experience."

"A clean well maintained property. Decor is a little basic, but property has all the amenities one would expect. The bathrooms are excellent and there are loads of towels and hot water. The property has an enourmous private garden with numerous fruit trees and guests are encouraged to help themselves. The cherries are abundant! The owners are very helpful and go out of their way to be of assistance (including meeting you at the airport if required). A lovely to place to have a holiday."

"We (my wife, our son of two and myself) had an very enjoyable! 3 week vacation in the Cherry Tree farm in the Krakow region. We loved the location, the house (how wel kept everything is inside and outside, furthermore is the fenced large garden around the house very nice and ideal. Friends and family who had visted us there all liked the place. If you like a nice green environment were you can walk or just relax and on short distance of all kinds of shopping/dinner and sport possibilities this is definitely a excellent place to stay."

"Lovely, well-equipped and spacious property with a fabulous garden, in a beautifully tranquil rural location but yet just 20 mins from Krakow centre. The owners were very friendly and provided a mass of useful local information. Couldn't recommend it enough if you want a different holiday!"
