| "The description and photos of the property do not do it justice. On arrival we spent about half an hour just walking around the villa, commenting on how good everything was - the space, the layout, the decor, the facilities. The pool area was beautiful, as was the garden with its lemon, lime and orange trees. The excellent bbq was put to good use throughout our stay. Also a friendly local bar about 3 or 4 minutes walk away. Absolutely nothing negative to say about the villa itself. The only downside was the local area of Almancil. The initial description led us to believe the beach was only 15 minutes away, without explaining that this was 15 minutes BY CAR. As this was not a beach holiday it wasnt a great problem - we spent a day at Tavira in Eastern Algarve to keep the kids happy, and they were happy enough spending the days in the pool. Also beware - Almancil is a working town and a fairly unattractive one at that. Do not expect to spend warm evenings sitting in a pretty pavement cafe in the towns central courtyard area, watching the world slowly drift by - this is a busy, functional, fairly bland town, with very little worthwhile to recommend it, other than The Fat Frog restaurant. For pretty, go to Tavira - we will be next year."

| "The photos did not do this villa justice. Very modern in excellent condition. Pool area was fantastic and was the focus of our daytimes.
Clean and plenty of room for 12 people. Be sure to pay for air conditioning!!
Great local managers that were always at the end of the phone.
Large supermarket on the main road. Plenty of local resturants especially at the end of the road to the villa.
All in all great for groups and familys. Taxis needed to most things but very cheap!!"

| "Very comfortable spacious villa with lots of room for the children. All mod cons, lovely decor, Sky TV, comfy sofas and furniture, lovely landscaped garden and a large outdoor heated pool. Easy access to local amenities, short drive to beaches and good base from which to explore the Algarve region. Local reps were very supportive and quick to respond to queries.

| "We went away for rest,peace,privacy,comfort, our own pool and an enjoyable time, with support when we needed it.
We were more than satisfied on all points. The Villa is spacious with well equipped kitchen.
We did not want to drive. Booked a taxi online from and to Faro. it was very reasonably priced, comfortable and the driver was very helpfull. We walked into town 10 - 15 minutes and used local cabs home, they were well worth 5 euros. Went by local train to Lagos. Clean reasonable price, on time. Much less stressfull than driving. Local people very friendly.
We strongly recommend this Villa."

| "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Amarela and would definitely recommend it.
It really was a home from home and the pool area was great as was the barbecue area. There was lots of chairs and loungers etc. Our children loved it too and it felt safe enough to let them wander the grounds freely. We were slightly disappointed by the fact there were no lawns for the kids to play on. That said there was a sand pit to keep them occupied.
we hired a car and this is probably something you would require to get to the beach and for shopping although there are lots of lovely restaurants a 15 miunte walk away. All in all we had a great time and would definitely come again!"

| "Lovely villa - well located, and well equipped. Good local support (although we had a significant plumbing problem they could not fix).

| "I have been asked to add a review of this villa and do so with pleasure. It is a wonderful well established property, amidst other similar villas, on the very outskirts of Almancil, in a rural location. The bonus of course was within minutes we could walk to various restaurants, bars and shops and stagger back!!"

| "This wonderful villa did not require total refurbishment, however we are anxious to return to it once it is completed. Over the last 4 years we have enjoyed 2 quite different holidays at the villa. One was a large family reunion catering for 12 of us. The other was a golfing holiday with friends in October 2004 where we were able to enjoy wonderful golf at Quinta de Lago which is only minutes away from the villa."
