| "I was recommended by my Sister and Brother to this villa. It turned out to be one of the best holidays that I have ever had. It was so relaxing, beautiful, upmarket and the service was excellent.
I travel extensively – 18 countries in the last 2 years – and I can say that this was the best place that I have stayed at and also great value for money.

Another enormous thank you for letting us have your lovely home in Datca, it really is as lovely as the first time we stayed, everything seems the same as though it were yesterday we were there and not two years ago. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so peaceful and quiet; I think we had the pool to ourselves most of the time and everybody is so wonderfully friendly to us. It really is a great spot for plenty of R&R.

| "Marguerite and Jim, thank you so much for letting us stay in your villa last September, we had a fantastic holiday. The villa was incredibly spacious with lovely furnishings and the surroundings were beautiful. The pool area was so pretty and perfect for relaxing in the sun and the staff at the Marphe Hotel were extremely welcoming and friendly and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The town was very easy to get to and eating out in the evenings on the beach was wonderful. We enjoyed sampling the various cocktail bars along the harbour - the four of us drinking out of a fish bowl was memorable! Thanks again, Rachel Harris."

The staff at the Marphe Hotel were incredibily friendly and went well beyond the call of duty in making us feel welcome. | "Dear Marguerite, just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed our recent visit to your villa in Datca. The very spacious accomodation is delightful and provides everything you need for your holiday. The surrounding area is beautiful and well designed, providing a peaceful. tranquil setting in which you immediately start to feel completely relaxed. The pool is also very prettily situated, surrounded by bouganvillea and other 'exotic' flowers. As you advised, Datca village is easily accessible and provides many good restaurants for eating out and just watching the world go by. We especially ejoyed our day out on the local boat as recommended by you and we were suprised how easy it was to reach Bodrum by the daily ferry. We certainly plan to make a return visit as soon as possible. Thank you again and sincerely yours, Maureen Stenning."

| "The owners of Villa Marguerite at the Hotel Marphe are good friends of ours. A few years ago they told us how they had gone to Turkey to stay at the Hotel Marphe in Datca and had been so enchanted by its peace and quiet and the relaxed manner of the people that they just had to go back and try it again. They ended up buying Villa Marguerite, as they could not envisage going anywhere else other than Hotel Marphe for their future holidays.
They kindly offered it to my wife and I some three years ago and we thoroughly agree with their feelings for the place, so much so, we returned in 2005 to spend our honeymoon. The family who own the Hotel complex are extremely friendly and generous with their time should you need anything. Whilst the 2 hours 30 minutes taxi ride from Dalaman Airport can be seen as a bit long, it is nevertheless interesting with thrilling and spectacular views, especially the mountain section.
As soon as you arrive at the oasis of the Hotel Marphe the staff attend to your every need and make you very welcome. The Villa is especially well furnished and very comfortable with more than enough room for six people and the air- conditioned bedrooms are very welcome for those long hot evenings. The hotel grounds are spectacular as is the gallery/dining room, which is used if the weather is inclement. Eating by the pool is a very pleasant way in which to spend a lunchtime or evening. A trip into Datca is very cheap and takes just five minutes by taxi or, if you feel energetic you can walk it in twenty minutes or so.
The restaurants around the harbour are very good but we usually go to Emek’s, ‘The Captain’s Place’ (on the right just before you get to the harbour). Indeed we have become very friendly with Alim the “The Captain” he always makes us welcome. A drink/cocktail (or two!) on the harbour front watching passers-by and the fishing boats and yachts come and go is a good way to spend the evening.
Unsurprisingly, my wife and I shall be going back to Datca again this year (third year in a row!). Each time we get back home we cannot wait to get out there again! So, if you are the kind of person who likes to get away from it all and have a quiet relaxing holiday, this is for you. In summary, it is the peace and quiet of the surroundings, the people, the food and the weather, which we love so much. We cannot wait for September to arrive; we’re going back!

| "Dear Marguerite, we just had to write and let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your Villa in June 2005. This is the second visit to Villa Marguerite and will not be our last; we have already booked for summer 2007. Your Villa has the most welcoming ambience with some lovely furniture and ornaments that gives it a feeling of sumptuousness. The setting is wonderful with the relaxing garden with it’s pagoda; and what a great pool (Lee did enjoy the Jacuzzi). The staff at the complex couldn’t be more helpful and whilst they are always at hand we didn’t feel they were in our faces so to speak, nothing was too much trouble. The town of Datca is so relaxing it has a calm pace of life that really helped us unwind very quickly and thank you for your restaurant recommendations, you were absolutely spot on, the food and prices were as you said, were superb! We have recommended your Villa to our friends and continue to do so. We just can’t wait ‘til next year, best wishes and regards.

| "I felt I had to write to let you know what a wonderful time we had staying at your Villa in May 2006 at the in Datca, our fifth time. The two bedrooms are so large you could get three double beds in and still have room to swing a cat. There are beautiful flowers every where you look and a gorgeous swimming pool. Must learn to swim!
The people looking after the hotel treat you as their friend and cannot do enough for you.
On my first visit I felt I was in paradise and that feeling has never left me. The only problem is I just don't want to come back to the reality of living in London and very high stress levels.
I dragged Nick out 18 months ago. He has hated holidays all his life and really didn't want to come with me. He fell in love with your villa, the country and the people and said this is where I want to retire. I felt it was a pipe dream, but everything you buy is so cheap you can live a virtual life of luxury for very little money.
We have just bought a house five minutes away from you and in fifteen years time hope to retire out there.
I want to thank you so much for making our dreams come true.
We are telling all our friends, so you might have some bookings coming your way!
Thanks again and I'm sure we will bump into each other some time in the future.
