"Fabulous spacious villa. Very comfortable and homely. Nice pool area and lots of inflatables for the children. Nice area really friendly people and spectacular views all around. Situated next to an authentic Turkish village very cheap and near enough to main (but very quiet) road to go to whever the mood took us. Loads to see and do. Resturants and cafes are excellent."

"8 June - 24 June

Dear Jo

I really enjoyed my holiday in Villa Aysun and Villa Katife. I had two wonderfully relaxing weeks in Villa Aysun with just birds and crickets for company. A tortoise wandered into the garden one day and the path to the village was blocked by some lazy goats on my last morning. The villa was not too isolated though and I was able to buy everything I needed in the village shops. I swam in the pool two or three times every day and it was kept very clean by your pool man. As requested he came in the early morning while I was asleep to do the cleaning.I was very happy at Villa Aysun.

Your agents Nick and Aysun were at the villa on the first evening to welcome me and show me round the villa. They are a charming couple and did their utmost to make sure that my holiday went smoothly. They work so hard and they are on the go all the time helping holiday makers, booking taxis, arranging outings and all done with a smile. I thought they were lovely.

When I moved to Villa Katife the holiday changed completely. It was much more energetic, as I was not on my own any more. We visited all the local bars and restaurants, swam in the sea and took taxis into Fethiye to spend money at the market. We took a boat trip to Rhodes and joined hundreds of holiday makers looking round that beautiful island.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a Turkish teacher anywhere, so my turkish had to be put on hold for a couple of weeks. I did revise in the villa in the evening though and learned some useful new vocabulary. Everyone in Uzumlu wanted to practise their English on me and wouldn't let me demonstrate my Turkish.

Overall the holiday was a great success and I hope to be able to return in the future.

With best wishes

Josie"

"25 June - 9 July 2009

Hi Jo,

We loved the villa, its gorgeous. Nick & Aysun were great but our favourite had to be the pool guy! Bless him!! The locals were fabulous and treated the kids whenever they saw them! It was an effort to get Harry to climb up the mountain path to the village at times though....Lazy monkey!!! We adopted a few wild tortoise and the kids had a fab time in the pool, Tia learnt to swim properly and after the initial screaming match was fab!! Also, Thank you for the Disney Channel.......a god send for the grumpy children.....

All in all we had a lovely time.....Thank you!!!!!

"This propoerty is beautifully situated in the midst of an olive grove in a quiet location just outside the village of Uzumulu. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could need which was very welcome. The pool is not too deep - 1.4m which is excellent for children. Although it is in a quiet location it is adjacent to another villa - owned by an English couple. The upstairs air conditioning was very welcome - especially in the 40degree heat of August. We would have liked to see some air con or at least fans located in the downstairs rooms. There was alittle noise from next doors dog and cockerel which seems to crow continuosuly through the night, but you got used to it. The village is delightful but prices are beginning to get expensive. A car is definitely needed if you wish to avoid paying the over inflated prices of the nearest shop which happens to be located in a petrol station at the end of the lane. The local mini bus to Fethiye - the nearest large town is not very frequent - one an hour at best and although very cheap was extremely crowded. You have to take it though s the experience is very worthwhile! Taxis are very expensive and English tend to get ripped off. The villa was perfect though - and the region quite staggeringly beautiful. The call to prayer to the local mosques echoed surrealistically around the mountains nas was very relaxing. Local food was good and the village boasts a few good restauarants although in August chefs tended not to be present top menus can be limited."

"We have had a wonderful holiday in Turkey. The villa is immaculately clean, very well-equipped, and comfortable. Our two girls, (7 and 6), particularly loved the pool. We booked a transfer from the airport via the owner, and also booked a hire car to be delivered to the villa the following day which made the whole experience of arriving very easy. The service provided by the agency is great, from the groceries brought by Desiree on arrival, to the emergency Doctors phone service, which we unfortunately had to make use of. We loved everything about Turkey, the beautiful scenery, and the friendly locals, who were particularly great with the kids. We would love to come back soon."

"Having being met at the airport and transferred to the villa by private transfer, travelling through beautiful countryside, we arrived at the villa relaxed and refreshed. We were met by the Management Company who showed us around the villa, explained how things worked and explained we could contact them on the mobile provided on the emergency number already in the phone if necessary. The car hire we ordered through the owner arrived at the villa 20 minutes after our arrival. This was an excellent start to our holiday with no waiting around. The weather was absolutely glorious for this time of year (March) and it enabled us to exlore the area. Villa Aysun is just like home from home and has been lovingly furnished by the owners who seem to have the guests' comforts and need foremost in their minds. One of the most comfortable and well equipped villas we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many. The locals in Uzumlu are extremely helpful and friendly. We shall definitely be returning and have already recommended it to friends and family. From the time we booked right through to our return home we really felt that we were being looked after by the owners and the Management Agents. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to everyone for everything."

"This villa was brillantly set out, really big inside. The pool was plenty big and deep enough. The villa has beautiful views set in the mountains. The village of Uzumlu is a typical Turkish village, all the locals are very friendly. The service we recevied from In-Resort was fantastic, always there when you needed them, they also provide a mobile phone for your use. Would recommend the villa to anyone who is thinking of going to Turkey. Local bus stop just on main road. Brillant !"

"We were very pleased with the accommodation. The villa was nicely decorated and very well equipped. The pool was great. We found it much easier to have our own pool and be able to watch the children as opposed to trying to keep track of your own children when there are lots of others in the pool. The views of the mountains from the villa are beautiful. The area was very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would certainly recommend it. We were well looked after when we were in Turkey by the In Resort team. Thankyou for a great holiday."

"The property was spacious and well equipped and best of all, in a beautiful unspoilt setting. There was a good main road to Fetihye, and good facilities in the village for petrol, food shops and restaurants. Within easy travelling distance were a wide range of great places to visit. The in resort management was excellent."

Owner reply: :
Thank you for your comments. We always have good feedback about our Management Agents. They are very professional and it puts us at ease to know that our guests are being well looked after.

"The villa was booked for myself, my sister and her friend. Lovely and peaceful location. A visit to the Cadianda Restaurant is an absolute must, fabulous food and incredibly cheap.Would recommed this to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday away from it all. Management company were excellent and extremely helpful. The only problem we had was that on arrival there was no lavatory paper anywhere!! Overall villa fab!"

"The most relaxing holiday ever in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The owners have thought of everything and it was home from home with the added advantage of a private swimming pool, balconies with glorious views and lots of sunshine!! Uzumlu is a quaint little village which is totally unspoilt by tourism and is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday, yet within easy reach of towns, nightlife and beaches, all being only 20 minutes drive away. From the moment we made the booking we were well looked after by the owners and their agents in Turkey. Many thanks from all the family - we'll be back"

"What a fantastic holiday we had - the villa was perfect (beautifully furnished and very well equipped). The surroundings are magnificent and the locals very friendly. We enjoyed many meals in the local restaurants, and had the occasional night out in Hisaronu,Fethiye and Calis. For this we used the management company's own taxi service - cheap and extremely reliable. Other evenings we had BBQs and relaxed on the terrace by the villas own pool, listening to music just soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the surrounding views. From the moment we booked the holiday up until our return we were well looked after. The owners and the management team were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Over the years we have stayed in many villas in many different countries, but this one really was something special and for the first time ever we will be making a return visit. Many thanks. "

"We only had minor problems, one was the toaster (low power?) could have been bigger, one was the barbecue (no draught?) and having 5 women in the party, the lack of a full lenghth mirror was a problem.
But this is only detail, the area and the people and the local restaurants were excellent. The pool was good and the facilities offered in the villa were first class especially the air con, although no air con in the lounge was a problem for someone sleeping downstairs."

Owner reply: :
Thank you for your constructive comments. We always welcome people's views so we can try to put things right. Since your stay we have put a full length mirror in the hall and we have sorted the BBQ.

a fantastic retreat.

"Wow, what a place to unwind - it is like stepping back in time, yet only 20 minutes drive from Fethiye. Villa Aysun is furnished to a very high standard and equipped with everything you could wish for. We couldn't recommend it enough - we had a fantastic holiday and will be going back very soon.
Thanks Jo - a great holiday"

Owner reply: :
Thanks Julie - we feel like that, too - life in the slow lane.

"Delightful -new - clean well appointed and quiet. Wonderful to come back to at the end of the day - delightful to stay at and do nothing. It was essential to have a car for freedom of movement and visit places away from the tourist traps - inland Turkey has much to recommend itself."

Owner reply: :
You are right, Frank, each time we go we try to discover new places and inland Turkey is breathtakingly beautiful.
