| "This is a fabulous property set in a lovely fishing village and only a couple of hundred yards from the beech. My wife and I took our 2 sons and their friends. The villa is perfectly split with a large en suite master bedroom on the first floor with its own sun terrace giving us privacy from the boys. The village is perfect and safe. We let the boys out on their own and with all the village facilities within 5 minutes walk from the villa they really enjoyed themselves..
We would recommend this villa to any of our friends"

| "The property was very well located, right in the centre of the old and pretty bit of Burgau and only 2 minutes from the beach. It was and a good size for our party and was well kitted out with everything we could need during our stay. The English villa owners were very welcoming and accomodating, and Helen - who manages the property over in Portugal was really helpful and responsive. Our only negative points were that it didnt have the wood burning stove that was mentioned in the Villa description - I think it was due to be fitted but the workmen had let them down - but that was a bit of a shame as we were visiting in December and it would have made the evenings much nicer. Also the electrics are a bit dodgy - its easy to overload the system by e.g. running a toaster plus kettle plus whatever, and we had to reset the fuses a number of times until we sussed out what combinations of appliances we could use! However really none of the negatives detracted from our stay. Burgau is lovely and the villa was great. I would happily recommend staying there to other people and we would love to go back ourselves."

| "This is definately 5 star accomodation,with so many extras provided it really does feel like home from home.This was our third visit to Burgau and each time is better than the last.Pescador is just the most wonderful place to stay,with extras including beach towels and games for everyone,a good selec tion of books, and hairdryers in all bedrooms,all these help when packing the cases.All rooms are too a very high standard and the owners take great pride in making sure their guests want for nothing.It is certainly worth a visit and we will be definately going again soon"

| "A great holiday, the weather was perfect and we were very comfortable.
We really enjoyed Casa do Pescador as it has that real Portuguese feel about it and was so convenient for the beach etc.
Casa do Pescador had everything we needed and we would definitely recommend it to potential visitors to Burgau.
Hand on heart we ourselves would definitely revisit Pescador, accommodation layout is great with the terrace area integral to the villa and having en suite bathrooms, we felt comfortable at all times.
Burgau was a lovely place with a great range of eateries and bars as on your website.

| "We were told this property was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday, but our expectations were exceeded in every aspect.
The villa was perfect in every way, homely and comfortable with every last detail in place, even beach towels were provided. Private and safe for the little ones but just a stones throw from the beach.
The village is lovely and the locals so friendly with lots of places we could eat at night even with tots, they were made to feel welcome everywhere.
We are about to book again for next year and it cant come soon enough.

| "The pictures dont do it justice. This villa is beautiful and is in a perfect location. Burgau is a small village with good restaurants and friendly people. The villa was ideal for us as it had two courtyards and a locked gate which meant our children could play safely and freely without us worrying. The owners of this property have gone over and above to make sure that my family had an excellent vacation. The villa is minutes away from a beautiful beach and if you want to drive there are many beaches and attractions close by. We would definitely return in a heartbeat. Thanks

| "We spent the best holiday ever in Casa do Pescador, so good in fact that I am now moving out to live in Burgau.
The villa was excelent and more than met our expectations every single thing we needed was there and the location is the best in the whole of Burgau down 3 steps a few yards and on the beach wow!!
Have told loads of people and some have booked or already been themselves.
Would recommend to anybody."

Just to say thanks for all your help re Pescador...Everything went smoothly with our journey and upon our arrival the weather was fantastic!!!!! we took your advice and went and drowned a couple of jugs of white sangria at the beach bar along with a salad before returning to Pescador and then having a kip in the sunshine...Yor villa is fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there...We ate out every night in a different restaurant and all were really good....The best thing was the wine shop straight across the road from us.....got to know him well as we were there most days!!!!.
The only day we used the car was Tuesday due to the weather being thundery and cloudy but other than that dont think we would have used it as all was on hand that we needed in Burgau....Will definitely be going back..
Again many thanks...May bump into you in the Grosvenor Arms...Know what you look like now as your photo was on the mantlepiece.....at least assume it is you....

Got back yesterday and wanted to let you know we had the most lovely time.
It was perfect as you had said. Your house is really delightful and so
spacious! Loved the outside areas and it felt so safe for the kids to play
in. The beach was great and we had some days of really high tides and huge
rolling waves which frightened me but the kids thought they were very
exciting. The sea seemed to warm up the second half of our stay and once
the waves had lessened we swam loads.
Thanks for the use of everything in the house, not having to take towels
etc really was less to carry. Needed the car and visited a few places
although we mostly stayed in the village eating ice cream or playing in the
sand.
We are really keen to go again and are thinking of the same time next year.
Can't say at the mo but could you let me know what the availability is like
for end May next year?

We have had the most wonderful time in Burgau it was just perfect!
The house is terrific! In fact we are planning our next trip as there is so much to do that we didnt get done in the week we were there.
The weather was glorious and everyone very friendly (apart from that awful hill!!!)
I wont be climbing that again 7 months pregnant!!!

Just a very quick note to say thanks for the use of the house in Burgau last week.
We had a fabulous holiday in a fabulous house!
It really is a lovely spot and the house was perfect so everyone enjoyed themselves enormously.
Didn't venture that far a field as we enjoyed the location but we did get down the coast a bit to other beaches and went to Capo de St Vincente. The locals were telling us that the weather was unusually hot and there literally wasn't a cloud in the sky all week.
Ate fresh fish every day, perfect for me!
Thanks for a great time and I've no doubt we will visit again sometime soon.

Just a few lines to say how we enjoyed our stay in your superb Villa in Burgau
(Feb 2007)
Your Villa is so well positioned, and big compared to the other properties,
sea views are brilliant the top patio what a little heaven. It was so hot
on Thursday we had to go onto the beach and into the sea stayed there till
4.00 only people on, could not believe it.
You have everything there, a bonus not to take beach towels etc what a good
idea. Great TV pictures all 5 channels. Master bedroom what a beauty, shower
great plenty of hot water.
Maria is lovely, and Alfonse the gardener well what a chick, loves his football
Benfica, Porto, Sporting Lisbon, NEVER HEARD OF BOLTON .
The only way to compare Burgau is Robin Hoods Bay in Heaven.
Thanks again for such an unforgettable time in your Villa.

Sorry i haven't sent you an update sooner, but you know what it's like trying to catch up with everything when you get back.
In answer to your question, everything was fantastic. Your villa is brilliant. It was perfect for our family. Everyone had space to generally doss in or use the terraces. With 4 teenagers and 1 who thinks he's a teenager the more space the better, and that's what you've got at your villa, once again brilliant.
The weather first 2 days was iffy but great thereafter, and yes we are all feeling depressed at being back home even though the weather is o.k.
Once again, jackie, thanks for everything. We might be speaking again if we can get all of us together for another holiday in the future.

just thought you might like to add us to your guest book, we had a wonderful time in Burgau again this year. Weather was glorious, everyone welcomed us again especially Elizabeth at Ruis. The people are wonderful, the house is out of this world and the food as always is the best wherever you go.
Laid back is the best way to describe the village, if you want to relax and take things easy then here is the place to go.
Our days consisted of playing with our girls on the beach or at the pool at Jimmy's bar, then visiting one of the local hostelries for a meal and drinks, what a way to end the day!!! Ruis is the best place for your end of day drinks!!!

Just come to the computer to send you an e-mail, I have been in London since I came back, so sorry for the delay.
We had a fantastic time, everything was great and your super villa was perfect making the trip a real success. Thank you so much for letting us stay and for having everything set up for us. Amazingly we knew the villa, American friends used to rent it and we had barbeques there some 40-35 years ago. We love it and you have everything just right. The weather was great and we went swimming, the sea was much warmer than we remember. I think it was probably more to do with the currents rather than global warming. The village has changed a lot there wasn't much there when we used to go, just two cafes the Biera Ma and one on the corner, but the layout very recognizable.
We visited lots of places along the coast and went up the mountains passed Monchique for Piri Piri chicken of course. Burgau is still the best and looking very good, much smarter but still a lot of character and you have the best villa. It would be lovely if I could go again sometime and take my wife and four children as well.

Hi Jackie,
Well what can I say ....we loved Burgau, we loved your house - we had the best time !!
Lorraine dropped in the sun bed cushions on wed evening - by which time we discovered the beach - so wonderful and a lot cooler, the courtyard by this time was a real sun trap.
As you will no doubt know by now we bought two beach umbrellas which we really needed for the courtyard, we had to stick them in plant pots, so maybe it might be a good idea to invest in a large umbrella that you can also use over your lovely green table and chairs.
We ate quite a few times at the beach bar great food and service, Marco and his brother were very friendly and helpful.
If our house in Spain is not ready for us to spend some time there in September we were thinking we might try and grab a few days again at your place - are you booked yet for September?
Anyway once again just like to say well done - your house is wonderful in fact we have told so many of our friends about it already and possibly Phil's daughter who loved the sound of it may book it for next year, so we're sure you'll never be short of bookings .

Hi Jackie, we have just returned from a super weeks holiday. The first day was a little overcast with some rain, and yesterday was very windy and dull to start off, but in between we had some super sun. The house was super and perfect for our needs, with mum and dad in there own little en suite. I am sure we will re-visit the house in the future. Charlotte loved "swimming in the ocean", so did I.
