| "The property was adequate for our stay. the views were excellent & the bedrooms more than comfortable.
The apartment was well located for supermarkets & to get into the town. The only disapointment was the security on the door to the apartment via one lock. However we did not encounter any security issues during our stay & would consider booking it again."

| "The striking similarities between this accomodation and our home condo was stunning. We loved the location and the view. Being seniors the steps were a challenge that we were able to master though after a long day of touring they seemed alot higher."

| "The property is in a very good location, beautiful views from the balcony, relaxing holiday. Nice area be it a little quiet, probably due to start of holidays. Fully equipped, clean, tidy, lots of books, games in apartment if you wished to use them. Everything in the apartment you would want for your holiday, no need to take anything with you apart from your clothes, but not too many as washing and drying facilities in the apartment.
Overall really nice and good value for money."

| "Very nice, spacious and clean apartment. Beautiful views from the panoramic balcony. Situated in a very friendly small town. Ideally if going for a week, a car would be a good idea as bus service isnt very frequent.
Top Places to visit would be:
Ahernes (a pub/restaurant with amazing food and the best pint of guinness!)
Perks (an entertainment complex with 10 pin bowling, arcades, a casino and quazar lazer)
There is also a Pitch and Put and swimming pool on the outskirts of town.
Ideal holiday to relax.

| "Apartment setting was as described in brochure and views met and surpassed brochure in early morning and sunset.
Apartment was immaculate and furnished to a very high standard - quite tempting to stay in the apartment, on balcony, for the whole holiday.
Apartment owner met us on arrival and was warm and friendly. There was a small amount of basic necessities in situ along with some home-made bread which was lovely and most unexpected. She gave us directions to local venue ie supermarkets and left contact numbers and instructions for emergencies. The apartment provided linen and towles alongside little extras you would normally prvide yourself for self catering accomodation ie sopa and toilet rolls.
Wonderful location for a holiday and to explore other local towns/ points of interest. The ONLY thing that was disappointing was that the local area was not very clean - there were very few rubbish bins and fewer dog faece disposal bins and this showed."

| "My family and I, returning to Ireland for our second visit. were overwhelmed by the Penthouse Suite. We had just arrived for our second week, coming from an old cottage on the western shores of Ireland. The location and ammenities were terrific. I would highly recommend this rental property. As a matter of fact, we may return and stay here again in the near future. We also dined at Ahernes Restaurant on our last night in Youghal. The food and service were superb."

| "The appartment was great. The views were great. The only problem I had, as I have had with other properties that we have rented, is that there are never any instructions for ovens and microwaves. I do not use them often as we eat out, but occasionally when you have been travelling all day it is nice to eat in. (There were instructions for the TV!)
I managed to work out the oven, but never got the hang of the microwave. Simple instructions, or the manual, that comes with them would help.
The firework display on the last evening was wonderful!!"

| "The property was excellent, everything anyone could want the owner Kate had thought of.. There was plenty of room for four of us. Nice flowers in lounge on our arrival and when we picked up the keys were given some fresh milk and a loaf, very thoughtful.
The only drawback was all the stairs for our old legs but we knew beforehand so can't complain, was worth the effort.
Plenty of pubs locally, recommend Doyles, Traceys, and one over the road from the apartment beginning with C but can't remember the name. Avoid the Moby Dick, it was dirty and smelled. Not too many eating places in early June, many were closed. Good value for eating was The Quay and the Coach House where the food was excellent. To be honest we thought that Aherne's was a little to expensive for our needs so only had a drink there.
Didn't have any contact from owners once we arrived but if we needed anything we had a phone number.
All our party had a really good week and couldn't fault apartment at all. It's a good base for travelling around, Kissing the Blarney Stone was a hoot.
Well recommended in all."

| "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse in Youghal, County Cork, Ireland. On arrival, we found the accommodations ready for us--Kate Fitzgibbon made us feel at home with pertinent information and lovely fresh flowers throughout the apartment.
The views of Youghal harbor and the dock area were picturesque and unique for any place we have stayed. We were within walking distance of shopping, dining, and bus transportation into Cork (from there to other destinations--we really didn't need a rental car).
We have definite plans to return and hope to book the Penthouse again. We will also recommend it highly to our friends.
We will also search the VillaRenters database for our other travel."

| "Had a great time in the appartment in Youghall it had everything anyone would want in a holiday home.
The only thing was the lack of a lift to get up to the appartment as others have said but that only become a problem when lugging cases up and down the staircase and the odd shopping trip but to be perfectly honest after a lovely irish meal and a few Guinness the exercise does you good.
Our hosts the Fitzgibbons were very nice people and I would recommend this property to anyone."

| "A very enjoyable holiday, the property is very well kept and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. there were a couple of things that did need attention, the hot water tap in the main bathroom sink didn't have any water, and the fans in both the bathrooms made a very loud screeching noise when turned on. but apart from this small problem we thought it was an excellent property and would definately stay again."

| "We had a wonderful holiday in this bautiful, well equipped appartrment. The view over the estuary is spectacular and we saw herons, cormaorants and numerous other sea birds. The surrounding countryside is lovely but one of the most memorble moments of our stay was leaning over the appartment balcony and watching an otter swim by with a fish in his mouth. Highly recommended; even the stairs were great as we felt less guilty about what we were eating and drinking."

| "The apartment was beautiful and spacious with wonderful views. We enjoyed watching the cormerants fishing in the bay whilst cooking breakfast and our two teenage boys were entertained by the football on Eurosport tv. The modern apartments seemed a little out of place in the traditional Irish town but once inside that didn't matter. The Penthouse has the best views, a large balcony and a real homely feel. It made an excellent base for touring the area and for the many walks we had along the beach."

| "The property was very good, the only draw back was that there are no lifts to the property and as my parents are elderly they found the stairs to be difficult at times. However, the appartment and its location with the fantasic views and surroundings compensated the stairs. It would have been nice to have been made aware of the stairs beforehand. We would definately recommend and definately choose to stay there again.

Very relaxing sitting on the balcony watching the fisherman landing their catches and the yachts entering and leaving their moorings. Well located for shops and restaurants, but very little noise from traffic or people."

| "We have a baby aged just 7months and knew we would be spending alot of time indoors in the evenings, for which we had 3 main aims: comfort, cleanliness and luxery which were definatley ALL met. Youghall is a fantastic village in an ideal spot for visiting other places both East, West and inland. This appartment is by far in the best location you could possibly want with exceptional views. If we were to critisise anything it would be that the TV channels were too limited and only recieved 4 english speaking channels that were watchable RTE1, RTE2, CNN, Eurosport."

| "We stayed in the middle of March, which obviously ensured that the weather was pretty bleak, but the property, area and owners more than compensated. It can get a bit windy on the top deck, but the apartment was well-presented, clean and spacious. The facilities were great, everything you need under one roof, and it was cosy and warm at all times. We bumped into the owners on the last night in their famous Ahernes restaurant, and they were polite and friendly over and above the call of duty. The food in the restaurant is first class and the hospitality of the Ahernes second to none. Thoroughly recommended for couples or young families who want a relaxing break amongst beautiful scenery."

| "We stayed at the Penthouse in Youghal for the New Year, The views were spectacular and the whole appartment was very comfortable and spacious. The furnishings were very tasteful and the lighting created a lovely atmosphere in the evening. We even had a beautiful Christmas tree.
It is a lovely place to stay and explore Youghal and further afield.
We had the indendence of our own place and yet 5 minutes walk away we had the hotel facilities and wonderful food in the restaurant. An ideal location."

| "The Penthouse is a beautiful apartment with an incredible view of the river and ocean. It is very well taken care of and beautifully decorated. The owner of The Penthouse greeted us with homemade brown bread and took excellent care of us during our stay. She went out of her way to help us to communicate with our newly discovered Irish cousins so that we could meet each other. Visitors interested in renting the apartment should be aware that it is on the 4th floor with no elevator. By the end of our stay we were running up and down the steps. I would highly recommend this property."
