| "The Stargazer Villa is as beautiful as the pictures depict. This villa has all of the amenities PLUS more to ensure a comfortable, relaxing home away from home. The owners (Despina and Steve) were on site and provided more than we could have asked for. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating and really helped to make our stay a memorable one. They are very personable and took the time to show us around the community and any areas of interest. Both Steve and Despina offered us the locals perspective on great places to dine and visit. They were also responsible for introducing us to Stavros the tour guide. He was a valuable asset to our trip and our family highly recommends connecting with him when you take your next vacation at the Stargazer Villa!
Thank you so much Steve and Despina. We will definitely be back in the future!

"Thank you so very much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! After 6 weeks of traveling all over France and down through Italy and taking the 17-hour ferry over to Greece, we finally slowed down and truly relaxed for the past 2 weeks here at Stargazer Villa. It truly feels like home! Bill& I, not cooks by nature, really enjoyed making salads, pasta, breakfast, etc. in the open, spacious kitchen, then enjoying our meals at the table by the windows enjoying the spectacular view! Thanks for the many special personal touches such as: the welcoming basket, breakfast items left in the refrigerator for our first breakfast the following morning, plenty of paper goods and washing products, the conveniences of a washer and dryer, computer, phone line to the U.S., etc. We enjoyed the Acropolis in Athens, amazed by the drive to Delphi, Corinth, Nafplion, and Mycenae, but we really enjoyed the quiet solitude and beauty of the natural God-made surroundings of this lovely area.
Despina, it was always a joy talking with you by phone or exchanging e-mails. Would love to meet you and
Stavros one day. It was a delight to meet Rosa and Stavros. They were wonderful and very helpful during our stay.
Thanks again, and God bless you both for making it possible for us, and so many others, to have a special place like Stargazer Villa to come to and make memories that will last a lifetime."

As experienced travellers on ur first trip to Greece, we can't imagine a better "home away from home" than Stargazer Villa. For months back in our real home in the Pacific Northwest of the US, we went online over and over to view the villa's website. Our hopes for the villa were more than realized by the actuality. We are two families that travel together and the villa and its amazing location provided the opportunity to see and experience a rich area of Greece in depth as well as fun and satisfaction for all of us. Despina and Stavros are wonderful, generous hosts - never intrusive but always willing to provide advice about directions, restaurants and - msot importantly - swimming sites. We are amazed at their lives and expertise. Be sure to check out Stavros' books on the livign room shelf!

What a trully small world this really is... to find out that you only live 30 minutes from us in North Carolina! We have loved every minute spending in your lovely home at Stargazer Villa and seeing Greece! Stavros and Rosa did an amazing job of showing us sites and giving us good information! We had an amazing day on our Evia hike and realized we saw things that few Greeks have ever seen!

| "We had a wonderful relaxing time. The villa was incredible. It was spacious and worked well for our family of 5. It was on top of the mountain and had a view you can't describe. We would stay there again if we get a chance to go. It was also nice not staying in Athen, but it was close enough to drive in to and sightsee. Go and enjoy."

"07/21/06 Positive From the moment we arrived in Schinias until we departed, one week later, we experienced first-hand all of the amazing Greek hospitality we had heard and read about. Stavros and Despina were exemplary hosts. Stavros took time to show us around Marathon in his personal vehicle, so we could get our bearings. He provided us with the history of the area, showed us where to pick up groceries, and recommended the best restaurants.
The Stargazer villa itself is absolutely amazing! The panoramic views from the living room are breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and tastefully appointed. We spent several afternoons and evenings on the terraces enjoying ouzo and the cool sea breeze.
Stavros and Despina answered any questions we had about navigating through Greece. One day, we decided to drive to Olympia. I highly recommend doing this, if you have the time. On our way to Olympia, we took the main roads. On the way back, we took the mountain road. If you have the nerves for driving on crooked narrow mountain roads, I would definitely take advantage of the mountain road. We passed through several picturesque villages, and were able to take some amazing photos.
When we decided to spend a day in Athens, Stavros recommended Stavros the taxi driver. I am very glad we hired Stavros the taxi driver. He did a great job taking us around Athens. The restaurant he suggested for lunch was delightful. The food was fresh, delicious, and most important – affordable!
Thank you Stavros and Despina! We will definitely come back for another visit, and I will make sure to tell everyone about your wonderful home and hospitality!

06/04/06 Positive Staying at the Stargazer Villa was everything we hoped it would be and more. The Villa was beautiful inside and out. we had phenominal views looking out over the water. Stavros was very helpful in showing us around the area for things to see, where to buy food, or get a good meal. He helped us plan our agenda by giving excellent advise on which archeological sites, islands, cities, etc. we should see. If you stay at Stargazer Villa take a little time to talk to Stavros about Greek hisory, culture and politics, he is very knowledgable in these areas. I feel a significant portion of the success of our trip was due to the spacious accomodations of the Villa( which was great for our family of 5) and the hospitality of Stavros.

05/02/06 Positive We would like to tell the world about "Stargazer" Villa and how fortunate we were to find it. The panoramic views from the Villa's balcony/patio are breathtaking. It has the most fantastic sunrises and at night the lights of the coastal communities are beautiful. Stargazer Villa comes with the most accommodating and interesting hosts Stavros & Despina. Their caring for us began with my calling Despina from Athen's Airport to advise of our arrival and continued until our departure. Directions to the Villa were easy to follow. Stravros introduced us to Marathon by taking us to the local grocery store, suggesting foods and wine which we might like to try. He also found us a wonderful guide who took our party of four on a full day of sightseeing. As we told Stavros we would rate Stargazer Villa a 10+. This is an experience we would one day love to repeat.

The surprise was completed by the inside: a large living room designed in an Greek classical style yet modern and very comfortable with an open concept kitchen. Stepping out on the beautiful and large terrace we had an awesome picture. Thousand of small lights bordering the land in front of us complemented by the beautiful sky lit by thousands of stars. Although tired, we had enough time to look at the modern and full kitchen with all the utilities from fridge to microwave, before heading to the bedrooms: large, comfortable, with A/C, inviting to a well-deserved and much needed rest.
Nothing could have prepared us for the morning. Through the three large windows in the living room, a breathtaking view was lying at our feet. Literally, from the top of the hill we could see the famous Mediterranean Sea with its unique blue waters. Everything was quiet and serene.
To sum it up it was a wonderful holiday. We were able to get to know the ancient, historic Greece and modern one enjoying all the facilities of modern world in an idyllic setting. The top of the hill position made us think that this is how people in Olympus lived. Enjoying a glass of retzina (Greek wine, very good) on the terrace in the evening after a full day was a real pleasure."

We've had to e mail to let you know what a wonderful time we all had in Marathon this holiday.We always expected the villa to be comfortable from the write up on the internet,but we were not prepared for the breathtaking views and the peaceful surroundings that we experienced. It was so relaxing to be able to come back after a hectic day and look out over the balcony at the moon shining over the water. We couldnt have asked for more.
It was our first ever booking by internet and we were a little apprehensive about doing it that way to start with but everything went like clockwork and it was so good of you to answer all our questions and problems so quickly.We will always be grateful for the way you helped us out when our flight was changed to another day. Not many people would have been so understanding or helpful and we are really grateful.
