| "We have been back from our holiday to this villa for a month. We had an excellent family holiday.
We had family come from Canada and we all enjoyed ourselves, we had a people aged from 27 to 75 and we all had things to keep ourselves happy and entertained. We also had a 2 year old and she loved Portugal!
The villa is well equipped, the pools and hot tub are great.
The location is good, the walk to the village is about 10 mins. the beach is also the same. There is another beach but that is a longer walk of about 25 mins and it is up a large hill.
The owner antonio was excellent, we had to contact him a couple of times and he was round to the villa in no time when we needed him.
Overall a great holiday, I also got engaged while we were there so even more memorable!!
This villa would suit large families and large groups, planty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves."

| "Overall a very good base for our golf tour (12 in party). There was some disappointment that the hot tub and the jacuzzi were not available while we were there.
With regard to the house itself, the only criticism was that the kitchens could have been better equipped with saucepans, utensils etc.
We also found that the pool cues had no tips on them, so we did not use the games room after that.
We enjoyed the garden and would say that the owners were very friendly and helpful while we were there and we would consider going back again. Restaurants in the village were excellent value for money."

| "The property was even better than we were expecting - three kitchens, plenty of bathrooms, dishwashers and washing machines, a playroom and TVs in almost every room meant 13 people had plenty of space. The addition of a second swimming pool was perfect for when the grown ups wanted to escape from the children in the main pool.
An extra bonus was finding the property had been cleaned half way through the week beds made and clean towels - perfect.
Location was excellent for getting into Sintra and the local beach was only 5 minutes walk.
The only thing that would have helped our stay would have been some information on the local area - supermarkets, recommended restaurants and places to visit etc.

| "As we pulled up to the villa it looked lovely and the sun was shining. The directions were excellent and we found it no problem.
Owner met us and explained everything to us. There was some building work next door but it didn't affect us at all. Kitchen rather small but well stocked. The rest of the house was lovely and the lounge and dining room very pleasant.
There was an additional part of the house where our two teenagers were well provided for with a home cinema system, double bedrooms and dining area. They also enjoyed the games room which had a pool table and punch bag. Unfortunately the pool was very cold and as it rained so much whilst we were there it didn't get any warmer (the owner told us he is seeking heating for the pool next year). The jacuzzi was lovely but not very hot and became a little smelly as no chlorine was added.
We struggled to buy some food on the day we arrived as there were few shops open over the lunch time however there is a little indoor market selling fresh food and this was lovely.
We really enjoyed our stay there especialy the beautiful beach nearby (enjoyed in the rain) and the excellent restaurants within walking distance.
There are plenty of sun chairs and toys for the pool and the owners are very keen to please.
Would recommend it and feel it's good value for money.
For a trip out the oceanarium at Parc de Nacoes along with cable car and natural park where the children can exeriment with music.
A lovely place and lovely villa. We just wish we had been lucky enough to have had sunshine not rain!"

| "This review is 10 months overdue, but here it is, nevertheless. My husband and I got married in the Sintra hills last January and, to ensure quality time with some of our friends and family that journeyed to Portugal for us, thirteen of us stayed at Casa Sete Mares for a week. And what a fun week it was! Antonio and Rosa were wonderful hosts and always available when we needed assistance or recommendations. We all fit comfortably in the house (believe it or not!), and Antonio graciously allowed us to have our wedding eve gathering and dinner there. It provided a fun and beautiful start to wedding festivities. I have spent my whole life visiting Portugal and, with each visit, I am convinced that what keeps me and my family coming back (besides the wonderful coffee and pastries!) is the generosity and honesty of the Portuguese people. Thank you, Antonio and Rosa, for helping to make our wedding in Portugal unforgettable!"

| "we were a party of 5 adults and 3 children. the gardens are very beautiful and abundant. in fact the impressive palm trees have grown so large that two of them cause the pool to be in the shade in the afternoon. the pool area is spacious and has plenty of sun loungers. the barbecue area and outdoor dining was well used by us. the local beach (prais macas) is walking distance although we took cars as our children are young.
the surrounding area and other beaches are spectacular. overall a fantastic destination although limited activities for younger children but this was not a problem as the weather was great. we would recommend the villa but the great value price does reflect a few minor faults; the kitchen was okay for us but larger parties would find it cramped, many sunloungers but cushions are rather tired, outdoor dining gazebo in need of repair, shading made pool chilly in the afternoons."

| "Myself and 11 friends spent a wonderful week in Casa Sete Mares, on a Hen Week. The villa is huge, much bigger than anticipated. The outside area was brilliant, ideal for the sun worshippers amongst us, but also ideal shading from the trees if you so wish. Antonio and Rosa, as last year (when we stayed in Villa El Magnon), were very helpful. We enjoyed it so much we are hoping to book again for next year, not for a Hen Week though so will have to think up another excuse!

| "We spend a oneweek holiday with 11 persons in Casa Sete Mares and had a fantastic time.
The villa, garden and surrounding were overwhelming, it really exceeded our expectations. The villa was even bigger than described on the website.
I can recommend anyone to book a holiday in Casa Sete Mares.
The owner and his wife made our stay even more pleasant, they were very nice and helpful to us.

| "We are 7 Gent golfers from Scotland and found the owner helpful and accomodating. Villa was exceptional with all mod cons and just about a bedroom each!! The only downside to the villa is the travelling to various centres (Sintra - 30 mins, Cascais 45-60 mins) which is due to the seclusion and privacy of the area. Hot tub was an additional extra but highly recommended to ease the aches and pains after the gowf. Area was beautiful with restaurants and bars nearby albeit unlively. We all enjoyed our stay and would also recommend golfers to play at Belas, Estoril (18 hole) and Praia Del Rey (a must play which we will all return and play again. Wentworth or Gleneagles but better without the hefty green fee!!).We found the local, smaller restaurants to be of a high standard with food and service exceptional and cheap."

| "Rosa was a great hostess and put up with the rowdy Rodrigues group quite well. We were glad that she shared a meal with us, along with some dancing on the patio.
One point I would make is that the kitchen needs more utensils for large groups to cook their meals (ex. cutting knives, serving bowls).
Also, the outside jacuzzi needs to be cleaned. It didn't present itself as inviting during our stay."

| "We had a fantastic trip to Casa Sete Mares. There were 10 of us and there is so much room when you are there that the website pictures do not do it justice.
There is a private apartment at one end with the gym in between which was perfect for myself husband and our two young children.
The Villa is very clean and the decor is luxurious. The pool and spa were wonderful and the gardens beautiful. Rosa was very helpful and is a lovely woman. The house is well furnished and has everything you could wish for.
The local restaurants are great value for money and offer fabulous cuisine. We found a magnificent restaurant cut into the cliffs about 10 mins drive away. The local beach is gorgeous and about 3 mins drive or a 10-minute walk. The area is quite and idyllic.
All in all this place is fantastic value for money and we had the most perfect holiday."

We did not use the gym, which is a bit old fashion, but the jaccuzu was very popular. The Casa Sete Mares lies in a quiet area, not very far from the beach, and is perfect for a large group of friends or family. A very good place to stay if you want to explore the area of Lisbon and the west coast. The owners are extremely nice and helpful - more people should be like them. I can strongly reccomend the Casa Sete Mares."

we were 9 and we didnt have to wait for a shower.
the owner is wonderfull and there is cleaning in the middle of the stay!!!!!!!
it is so quiet and you can make noise .
all was good.
