| "This was a holiday that we had waited 30 years for - Tuscany - and we were not dissapointed.
The scenery and location was fantastic, a real joy.
When booking on the internet you always "take a gamble" - but the gamble payed off.
We are somtimes sceptical when you read such a great reviews on the internet, but this one is the truth !!
We were blessed with a lovely villa / farmhouse and a fantastic couple in Joanna & Piero who own the property.
From the very first hour they were so nice and helpful, we felt at home immediately !
The facilities are excellent and the surroundings are like a film location.
We will be going back to see our new friends and this wonderful place in Tuscany.

| "We have just returned from our stay at La Capanna and we have enjoyed the most wonderful experience! The warmth and hospitality we experienced from Joanna and Pierro were exceptional. The Capanna itself was more than adequate for the two of us, and the pool, gardens, farm produce, animals, family and friends all just made the whole experience truly memorable. La Capanna is ideally situated for touring the area - which is simply beautiful. We would highly recommend La Capanna... dont hesitate, simply go and enjoy!"

| "We really enjoyed our time at the property. The property is in a fanastic location with good links to all the major Tuscan sights. Joanna is a great host and made the trip. We received a food basket and some wine on arrival and even shared a dinner with Joanna and her family one night. My wife is a Coeliac (interesting in a country that holds pasta, bread and pizza in such esteem) and she even went to the trouble of baking us a special loaf of gluten free bread, which was delicious.
The grounds of the property are fantastic and a great place to relax. Swimming pool is great and a really good size with ample space for al fresco dining.
There were some issues with noise as their neighbours had decided to dig a swimming pool the week we arrived!! We understood that this was not something Joanna could control and in the end it didnt effect us that much as we were sightseeing so much. We also got a rebate for the inconvenience which was incredibly generous and appreciated.
All in all a great place to stay and highly recommended."

| "La Capanna was our home away from home. After a busy day adventuring, we always looked forward returning to our little piece of paradise and in fact extended our stay a further 3 nights. Joanna & Piero are outstanding hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they ensure that you are totally comfortable. Joanna is a wealth of knowledge locally as well as further afield. Look no further, this rustic & charming property is fantastic value for money."

| "Joanna and Piero are the quintessential hosts! My husband and I stayed at their cottage during the final days of our honeymoon. While we had beautiful hotels in the major cities, none compared to staying at La Capanna. We were exhausted from our Rome wedding and following travels. The first day we arrived Joanna appeared carrying a 5 star vegetable soup and fritatta. You would have thought we were in heaven! The grounds are gorgeous. The cottage is the perfect "home away from home." So close to all the sights and walks of Tuscany, yet still a vacation retreat. If you are considering visiting Tuscany, make sure to make reservations with Joanna and Piero!!!!! :) (PS Horseback riding with Ludovica was lovely. Im still craving Ludovicas lasagna. Best ever)

| "We have recently spent 11 days at La Capanna and had the most wonderful time. This is a really relaxing place to stay and great for exploring all the beauty of Tuscany. We would definatly recommend a car and found it easy to explore - beautiful villages and historic towns are all nearby. The property is rustic and charming, the owners are kind and hospitable and cant do enough for you! Thanks for making our holiday one to remember!"

| "We stayed at La Capanna for a week in June 2008 and would just like to say that we had the most amazing time. Joanna and Piero are exceptional hosts and go above and beyond the normal call of duty. They are the perfect hosts where nothing is too much and they also provide you with plenty of their own great wine! We cannot tell you about the restaurants nearby as we could not drag ourselves away from La Capanna and stayed there and cooked on the barbecue and made lots of lovely food with their own produce. We picked rocket, rosemary, basil, celery, onion, spinach etc from the the land that we used to create some wonderful home made cooking.
The apartment was beautiful with everything you could possibly need and with the most amazing views. The pool was gorgeous and the whole place was just really relaxing and tranquil.
We really missed this place when we returned to England and have already booked again for next year. Thank you once again Joanna & Piero. See you again soon.

| "Absolutely fantastic week at La Capanna, with wonderful hospitality from Joanna and Piero. The pool is huge and really really clean with no chlorine or nasty chemicals. Just loads to see in the region. Joanna arranged for us to have an Italian cookery lesson (and then eat the results!) which was great fun. Our one regret is that we only booked one week. Will definitely be returning for more."

| "Just arrived back from a weeks stay at this villa. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners, and they couldnt have done more for us but without being intrusive. Villa was lovely and very well equipped, pool huge, all set in gorgeous and typical Tuscan surroundings. We didnt use a car, and found public transport to be reliable, although a car would be useful to get to Florence and Sienna which we managed to visit both, by bus and train. Excellent value for money and will be recommending to friends."

| "My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week last September and had the most amazing holiday. The house is gorgeous and plenty spacious enough for 2. It is a great place for peace, quiet and privacy as the only other people on the plot are the owners who live in the separated main house. The garden and farm land were fantastically kept and lovely surroundings to spend time in. The village restaurant 10 minutes walk up the road served great food and was very reasonably priced and we easily drove to Siena, Florence and Chianti vineyards from the house. The owners are very helpful and considerate providing wine, olive oil and fresh produce from their land. I'd recommend this property for couples or families as a brilliant holiday villa. We'll certainly be going back!"

| "The lovely farm on a countryside with adequatelly equipped apartment. The residence has a great swimming pool .The landlord and landlady are living in a house next to the apartment which they are renting. Owners were very friendly and kind and did a lot of extra for us. They served a really nice hospitality. There is a few animals in the Farm; dogs, cats, chickens and ducks. Dogs and cats were staying freely on a same courtyard as we were but it did not bothered us at all. Dogs were very kind and calm. In fact our kids loved these animals. Landlady inquired from us in the beginning of our stay do they have to keep dogs away from the yard during our stay.
Pian Di Sco is a small village with few shops and a pizzerias and one fuel station. It takes about half an hour to drive to the Firence and two hours to Rome. The road to the farm is rugged and narrow in last few hundred meters but when you arrive to the farm you will find a beautiful place. Apartment has two floors, one room in the ground floor which is combination of kitchen and living room and one room in upstairs acting as a bedroom. In upstairs there is also a small balcony which has a nice view to the surrounding mountains.
We do like our stay in a “La Capanna” and we can also recommend this place if you are looking for a peacefull and provincial environment

| "A really pleasant location with geogeous views in a quiet rural setting. Nice building - well equipped and tastefully furnished and with excellent facilities e.g. Good swimming pool, patio barbecue and a large field full of Olives, vines and a small number of hens.
Friendly and helpfull host and hostess willing to supply local maps, directions, suggestions for shops, restaurants etc plus samples of local wine!
We used this as a base to tour Tuscany and found it ideal. We had a very enjoyable holiday here."
