| "the location of the property is wonderful - it really sits on its own in the middle of nowhere with fantastic views of the valleys and mountains. The property itself is small and without mod cons but its cosy and clean and has a lovely terrace and sun loungers! We had a fantastic time and would love to return.
Our 4 year old kids loved it too."

| "The Retreat is a beautiful, peaceful chalet. No neighbours, and spectacular views. We went for 1 week of our 2 week Slovenian honeymoon, and it was the epitome of relaxation, and peace and quiet. Great location - near several hikes, activities, beautiful villages and towns, and within easy reach of Italy, with Venice only 2 hours drive. The chalet is exceptionally well equipped and the owners were incredibly helpful throughout the booking process and during the stay.
We would definitely recommend The Retreat, and are hoping to return there in the future - maybe to see the snow of the Julian Alps."

| "We have just returned from 9 nights at the Retreat and I would go back tomorrow if I could. It was fabulous, everything I had hoped for and more.
There were just the 2 of us, and we found the chalet to be very clean and well equipped for our needs - and a lovely welcome pack. I had to find a bottle of the same wine to bring home!
I always look for the perfect place, and this was it. Quiet, peaceful, not next to
anybody else, gorgeous scenery and views and within reach of good places to eat. The only noises were those of the countryside which beats living in a busy city any day.
The weather wasnt brilliant during our stay, but we managed a couple of BBQs - perfect evenings. We ate nearby a few times - although you do have to drive about 5K to get to any restaurants. We also treated ourself to a meal in a posh restaurant one night (Hisa Franko s ), which was superb.
I cant recommend the Retreat highly enough if you like walking and beautiful scenery and the perfect peaceful location. The locals are so friendly and helpful and everywhere is very clean. I would go back without any hesitation.

| "The Retreat is located high above the Soca valley about 10 minutes drive from Kobarid. It is beside a road. The view is out over a side valley rather than the surrounding mountains but is lovely. The garden is not especially private or enclosed but it does get the sun all day and well into the evening. The property has good accomodation for a couple and 2 kids Although the kitchen is small it is well equipped for self catering. The main bedroom is accessed through the smaller bedroom which might be a problem for 2 couples sharing. The stairs are not especially child friendly but can be closed off upstairs with a door. In essence a great location for those wanting to explore the Julian Alps!"

| ""We've sat on the balcony in the evenings, watching deer, glowworms, some fantastic lightning storms and swifts darting around. We retreated, we relaxed, we honeymooned. Wonderful place, wonderful country.""

| "A real mountain chalet - magical. Great building and fantastic location, vgood welcome pack. Lots of activities in the area, diy walks etc on the doorstep or drive 15mins to Kobarid for rafting etc etc. We did 4 activities with X-Point who were excellent.
Would book again - maybe when there is snow on the ground."

| "We loved the our time at the chalet. The location was perfect, extremely beautiful and about half a kilometre from the nearest village. We found it to be very well equipped, and very cosy.
The kitchen was quite small, but it was adequate for our needs, the only thing that may have been useful was a washing machine, other than that it was perfect.
We had an amazing honeymoon there and will definately be returning."

| "The property was very warm and welcoming with a great atmosphere. Although rural and quiet we found that we were in a good poisiton to visit many places of interest. The welcome pack and information file gave it a very professional feel.
